looks like it could be cool but I wouldn't know because there's no trial for me to check out all the features. & I know it's only $6 but most of the cool themes I've seen are for landscape only and really lose their appeal in portrait (which is what I need, unfortunately... So, without a trial version I won't be risking even $6 on the hopes that it will be what I want. Bad design on your part.
The app looks nice, has a nice interface but has bugs. The most annoying bug is that the app always returns the screen to the home screen. Sometimes I can't even click anywhere because it immediately takes me back to the home screen. The only solution is to clear the cache and data and then it works for a while. Another thing is that it doesn't always remember the last song that was playing.
the app looks great with ton of options, I am using it on my Carlinkit , but since I made it the default launcher, I can't use the original launcher split screen function. So is thier anyway to have it on the app? Appreciate the support!
relentless loading, no matter how many times I stop the background task on this app to keep it from running, it just finds a way to reload. if I go to the app to try to force stop it, it just loads a soon as i click force stop. I'm tired of it hijacking my screen. it's getting Uninstalled.
Used to be quite good, with a few quirks, but the latest update seems to have broken the app. My phone keeps losing it's fingerprint hardware and it randomly restarts the phone, and everything seems to be pointing to this updated App as the culprit. Uninstalling.
Almost what I was looking for! Wanted a car dashboard app that would show a passive map, with no destination set and shows Spotify song names... The issue I have is the map widget doesn't show speed limits. It also doesn't integrate with Waze even though it should. The audio visualisation doesn't work, even with microphone permissions. Also the app shows up twice in my permission options, which isn't very reassuring. Also even if you buy the pro version you have to pay for themes on top.
Big fan of the app. I use it as my primary launcher when I'm in my car, swapped as the primary by Tasker. It'd be nice to not see the toast message when a new media player starts playing. That toast is also in Russian - would be nice to see that toast in the selected language.
Careful!!! all kind of mandatory sensitive permissions even for options you're not interested in
I've tried pretty much every car launcher on the play store. This one is head-&-shoulders above the rest when it comes to simplicity & functionality, & I find the UI more intuitive than any other I've tried. Some reviews have mentioned shortcut or music player problems... There's a carousel on the home screen I set shortcuts to with no problems, & the music player features on the home screen require you to set a music player first. (Set the default music player with the lower left music icon.)
shady. you do not need background gps and location. I should be able to set it to "while app is in use" but this app requires 24/7 background use. this app 100% sells your data and location. way to shady to request those permissions. not even google requires that! as soon as it requested that I uninstalled. come to find out from other reviews it will also charge your credit card when creating a profile.
All of the pictures of the app make it look like it attaches to your vehicle's built-in screen. from what I was able to tell, it just makes a user interface on your phone and doesn't actually attach to the car at all. this is misleading, and maybe I'm wrong, but I haven't seen any way to change it so that it acts like a replacement for Android auto and works on the built-in screen of the vehicle.
I downloaded this, because I have a Joying head unit with FM radio and their design is ugly as hell. This app has a very nice design and works actually well. My main problem is that the music player box can not be deleted, nor the FM radio can be added into it. I would like to see on the main screen in the music box a channel switching/searching button, a text telling me which station is actually on, showing actual frequency and what is actually playing (read from the RDS radio signal if available). If you can add that, this will be a perfect app. Also allow adding widgets! Also the app says "No internet connection" if only 3G network is working and no Wi-Fi is available. Yes, my auto radio is connected to 3G network with its own SIM card, so it would be nice if the launcher could recognize that.
I have not tried it yet, but it appears to offer other functionality that is not available elsewhere, but it is also missing functionality that is available elsewhere. Across launchers, there appears to be a fascination with a speedometer-like theme, a car in a lane, a clock, speed. I have this in front of me? Waze with destination set, radio-RDS/music with playlist, weather or whatever else I want. Perhaps I should ask - what cannot be done in a theme/skin???
2 stars because of the weather aspects don't work. Would be great if the weather api actually works. No weather ever comes up for display even though there are settings for it, which would be a benefit, living in different climates year round. Will not purchase the pro without the weather working. All other aspects 5 stars!
Frankly, I like the design most. But it strands me at free version only. Have big issue, that the set menu may times back to default, or whenever the head unit is reset or power down. If only it can stand at prefered set menu, I would love to purchase paid version. Please help
Dissapointed that spending hours configuring and modifying the free version when I bought the full version I lost all my hours of work vs other apps where the paid version unlocks the code or full features. Soured the experience and considering all the questions on setting up the free version and accepting screens etc you have plenty of chances to advise people. If there is an export feature I missed I'll revise my review. Must be #1 for a reason.
After trying several car apps, this is by far the best one, with Android Auto coming in a close second. AA would be better with a few changes, but I think for now I'll try this one out. The grey theme is definitely the best IMO, though it could be much better. It looks like it's very customizable, so I could probably make it very close to what I'd like, but I'm not ready to pay for it yet, which is required to customize. I'm also not convinced a car app would be preferable to running waze and a music player in split screen. I do have concerns about this app due to it not being updated in months and some reviews indicated a lack of support. If it does well with some on-road testing and it receives more updates, I may buy it. I also have concerns due to the permissions these car apps require and this being a Russian app, but this one doesn't seem to need accessibility service access, which is the one I'd be mainly worried about.
In built in app drawer, this launcher has lots of duplicate apps in the drawer (Google is in there with 6 separate logos to click. Furthermore, the duplicate logos.... The hyperlink to them doesn't work. Perhaps it's time for me to go pro on this but I need to learn more about gpx file creation and transfer.
Total landscape mode is not possible on Android, as many apps lock the position. My music player for instance, does not allow landscape. So I alwyas keep my phone in this rotation, which mean that this landscape only launcher, does not work for me. I hate apps that lock in a specific rotation. Any app should have the ability to realign for both rotations, games are the only exceptions.
I've been using this app for a few years, and it is absolutely awesome. My setup makes it so in no need of a touch screen deck or android auto as you can use your phone for that interface. The music features allow all my music apps, including Spotify. The maps and GPS are spot on. I absolutely recommend this app.
