I have played this for years, and never tire of it. It is my #1 favorite Android game of ALL TIME! The music, sound, animations, art, and gameplay are top-notch! It is free to play, and not pay to win. The cost to not needs ads is tiny. This game is, in my opinion, as close to perfect as a mere mortal indie game developer could ever produce, and better than the majority of AAA games I have purchased in the past few years.
This game rules, plain & simple. Do yourself a favor & get it immediately. And be sure to pay attention to your equipment as you advance -- it's a lot of fun unlocking upgrades, etc., as you progress through the castles & hone your skills. I really can't praise this game enough -- if you like card games + strategy (and in particular, figuring strategic and tactical elements out for yourself), this is WELL worth checking out for free, & the one-time fee to unlock chests instantly is a no-brainer!
This game is really fun, so much so I had nearly 100%'d it on my old phone, at least in terms of unlocks if nothing else. I switched to a new phone and was able to carry my progress over, but seemingly after some update my map progress is still there but all my unlocks have been completely reset. All of the items I had are gone and all the little collectable treasures I had I can't even view because the unlock to view that section has been reset. Pretty demotivating getting wiped like this.
I absolutely love stealth games, as well as card games in general, so I really liked it. It just gives off a D&D vibe, and the music and atmosphere is perfect. My only complaint is that there is no real end goal, unless you want to compete on a leaderboard. The treasure you steal in a heist is your high score, and nothing else. Stolen goods are for unlocking contracts with other thieves that have special rules, but the ones you get on contracts don't do anything. A beautiful game nonetheless.
Finally, a good free to play game! Way too many free games now are little more than a TV channel for ads. Meanwhile, this game NEVER FORCES YOU TO WATCH ADS. Ads are only offered to speed up rewards from your heists instead of waiting an hour per chest. You can disable them permanently by buying the game. There are multiple levels as well as daily and weekly events. The art style is fun and the game has near infinite replayability. Kudos to the dev, this is one of my favorites now.
A very peculiar game that grabbed my attention more than I expected! With it's unique art style, the game presents itself as a relatively straight forward card game with a few clear goals. What captivated me was the dynamic of each new run giving unique challenges, changing how you play. If you get greedy trying to bolster a chests value, you won't have enough moves to pick it up. The use of illuminated cards/enemies to change it's adjacent cards values is another. Awesome game WELL worth a try!
Truly one of the best FREE mobile games of all time in my opinion. Ive been playing for a couple years. The artwork is ethereal and responsive. All ads are optional and skippable. So much to do with several power ups to unlock and upgrade and several different contracts to fulfill. I'm not sure why this game and many others by Arnold Rauers state they're similar to solitaire when they're not. The game is mostly luck based, but it intermixes strategy beautifully. You play how you want to play.
I love this game!!! It's certainly not what I expected upon downloading the game, but the gameplay is enjoyable wothout getting repetitive, the art is lovely, and the ads are minimal and voluntary! The few things you can choose to play real-life money for just enhance the game, rather than being a paywall that blocks you from truly enjoying the game. It's really beatiful, great job devs!
The game has good artwork and mechanics. It's enjoyable for a time. But the gameplay becomes repetitive after a while. The artwork changes a little based on location. But it's not enough motivation to keep playing. I would say it's a good game to play for a week or two. But not enjoyable enough to finish. If the game implemented new moves or some other form of reward to continue playing other than beautiful artwork and slightly different characters, I would be able to give a 5 star review.
I play a lot of table-top style games on my phone, and this is one of my all-time favorites. After playing a few rounds, I found it pretty intuitive. I did need to scroll down the main page and explore to figure out what I needed to do to build my deck and access different levels. I don't find this game repetitive at all. It's fun leveling up equipment cards and figuring out the best equipment combinations. It's not too hard but does require strategy. Perfect mix of relaxing and engaging.
At first it's an interesting concept, but it quickly goes from repetitive to incredibly hard. The second castle adds three new obstacles that make traversing impossible in certain situations, particularly because the grid doesn't get any bigger. I often found myself cornered with no choice but to start over. The chest unlock time increases with each win so that I was eventually waiting over 10 minutes (unless you purchase the game). It all started to become more tedious than fun
The ideas here are amazing, but I would much rather pay money up front for a more progression-based system. As it stands now, the games potential is much like it's in-game items: locked by its loot boxes and ad timers. Still, if you ever wanted solitaire and triple-triad mixed together with the coating of "Thief", this game might be worth a bit of your time.
This game is incredibly fun, I went into it with high hopes and it exceeded my expectations. You can easily grasp the rules of the game and its hard enough where it doesn't get boring and keeps a good challenge but not too hard where every step is confusing. Only critique I have is possibly having a warning before playing a game saying you don't have any more space for chests however its a minor thing that can easily be fixed. Great job devs!
Those expecting a sequel to Card Crawl-this is not it. It's a puzzle-type card game. You are a thief and move your player card through the deck (8 cards at a time) to steal loot and escape without getting caught. For people like me who can't see moves ahead of time in my head, it's not an enjoyable game. It is very well-made, however, and if I was better at this genre of games I'd enjoy it immensely.
I have nothing but praise for this game. I beat it like 3 months ago and still come back to it at least once a week. The gameplay is simplistic genius; it makes you think without being "1000+ IQ to beat," the art style is amazing, and whoever came up with having the (completely optional!) adds as part of the visual lore deserves a raise XD Kudos to the devs, all in all a great game.
This is such a ridiculously gorgeous and fun game, and I've only just downloaded it about an hour ago. I'm in love with the design of the cards, the guilt master, the little sleeping elf at the beginning, basically every bit of the graphics. The audio track is suspenseful and perfect for the game, I usually turn off sound on the games I play but i cant with this one. The game itself isnt hard to catch onto but is so much fun. They could turn this into a story game if they tried, its gorgeous.
Pros: Beautiful graphics, good atmospheric music, play whenever you want, this was a very addictive game for about a week. Cons: The equipment interface is a little clunky and confusing. The tutorials aren't very helpful, and even after beating all four castles, I still don't fully understand the mechanics of the game. Also, with only four castles, you'll run out of things to do very quickly, and the daily puzzle and the three bounties aren't enough to keep coming back.
I absolutely love how challenging this game is. Some people conplain about the tutorial being confusing, but I didn't have any issues with it. You will fail, though. A lot. You'd think failing many times would be discouraging or frustrating, but I find it fun and addicting because you know exactly what happened and you want to use that knowledge the next time. And escaping with all that gold is so rewarding...
The game is genuinely free and has no intrusive ads whatsoever. That alone is worth high praise, and it's worth at least checking the game out. I found the learning curve to be fine, but ultimately it still felt too random. The aesthetic also feels directionless and the progression is clearly slowed way down so as to mask a general lack of content.
This is a great game, full of different options for strategy and play style. The difficulty progresses nicely and fairly. As far as graphic design goes, it's a perfect score from me. A lot of effort was put into detail and animation. I appreciate that the ads were used only as a means of opening chests early. Ads are often a problem nowadays, and they tend to take up more screentime than the actual gameplay. My only issue is that you can't pause a game in the middle, but that's hardly an issue.
