Have had CUE on my phone for some time now and collected most of the cards. The game does have many very nice cards and won't say it doesn't. However, the game has gotten very expensive. Packs seem to cost too much which often leaves me at the mercy of the Trading Post. Don't like most of the trade offers I get there. Means I have to pay for more gems if I want some of the new cards. Not this month. Spent too much already. Take a hike. Thank you.
. I originally put it on my kids tablets as a way to encourage learning in a gamified way. Through trying to get them into it, I discovered I really liked it. It gives me the feel of playing magic the gathering, but much faster pace. I like the choose your own way to play, yet formulaic nature of this game. I love how much fun it is even on the free version. Better than expected game play for a deck building mechanic.
This game is not for newbies. It has been around too long and it's impossible to get a foothold as there are too many high level players with unbeatable (to newbies) decks. It's terribly unfun as I'm constantly matched with players or bots with legendary and mythic filled decks. The devs really need to work on this problem if they want new folks to stick around. I've played a week and am uninstalling as this is ridiculous.
Cards, Universe & Everything is a fun & engaging card game with a plethora of cards and combos that reward smart deck building. There's cards that synergize with each other, making matches feel dynamic and strategic. Online matchmaking is quick, letting you jump into games with little waiting. The main downside so far is the pack system. Spending in-game coins to buy specific set packs doesn't guarantee cards from that set (with exceptions). Packs you purchase includes cards from any set.
Was a 5 Star review until recently. Opened several of the crafting packs just to get regular cards. Sent an email about the first one, with no reply. Happened again the other day. Would have sent another email with attachments, but the first did not get resolved and I had to get back to work. Love playing this game. That's why I only dropped it one star. Help me out it back to 5!
Generally fun and interesting take on trading card games. I like it quite a bit however I've notice a few issues. Watching videos and getting nothing for it, and several instances of not receiving my reward for spins. Legendary cards, 80,000 coins, gems. It's free stuff so I can't quite feel cheated but issues like become very disappointing. Especially if I watch an add for no reason.
The gameplay is very interesting and there's a lot of different and unique deck compositions. However, I feel like this game has a huge balancing problem. It's extremely hard to make a certain deck work against the competition, especially since there's so many cards. Despite the card amount, you usually see the same 4 decks in ranked which gets kinda stale after a while. Overall, this game is fine but don't expect your favorite deck to be the absolute best.
The game is great! But! As a trading card game player there are a few things that feel to be a bit lacking such as; 1) allow players to click on cards on opponents side of the field, after flipped face up, to read them. Also, allow a small amount of extra time per turn in order to read opponents cards 2) players should be able to click on their own cards to read at any time. 3) allow players to message people in their friends list. Players set status to offline to avoid league challenges.
The game is pretty fun at the start. Mechanics are easy to learn, and it is very easy to combine cards with different archetypes. I also like the idea of fin facts printed in the back. The problem is that it is very difficult to obtain legendary, and even if you obtained one, it is very likely to be mediocre due to the sheer amount of different legendary cards. Gameplay and deck building aren't very sophisticated. It is all about getting good cards and increasing the attack power of your cards.
The core idea of the game is brilliant, for sure. A very unique concept with a ton of amazing mechanics. Unfortunately, it's turned itself into a bit of a cashgrab. Too many releases are just random garbage spewed out to keep 100%'ers and whales buying more, and the rate at which cards release is incredibly overwhelming. Good game, greedy management.
It's really fun and I learned so much from it just by reading the back of cards and I love the jokes on some of them. Plus a lot has changed since the start of the game. I play it senses it came out. Little bit confusing old players but will learn. For new players it's a lot easier to start. A lot better setup achievement and tasks. Some cards are a pain find to make decks. Ex Like pirate. Fun game all together.
This game is very free-to-play friendly. The cards are well-designed and (appear to be) well-researched. Lots of cards in so many areas, it's fun to collect. I have enjoyed a few weeks just playing up the ranks. Fun enough I spent a little on limited level-up packages, which are probably the best deal. But not necessary to play/have fun, which I appreciate.
Great game. Clever, well balanced, and great depth of content. Other games should take a lesson on how to work ads/purchases into a free game from this one. You could easily play for free, and watch zero ads and be just as competitive as the 'pay to players'. However, if you do choose to watch ads or spend money, you're still very well rewarded. There's just so much content that they don't need to ram ads/purchases down your throat like most other mobile apps.
I have been playing this game for a year now and it's honestly really really fun! But There are 2 problems i have with the game. 1 is the amount of limited cards! There are way too many collections that are limited only. Eventually you run out of normal cards and it leads to logging on doing wheel spins then leaving. Which leads me to my seconds problem. There are way too many small energy metas! It's always 13 or 16 energy which leaves alot of cards that cant synergize. I hope this gets read :)
I played this game for over a year, collected ever card, ranked dragon in league a few times, and then recently deleted the app. This game, ahead of all else, is meant to suck money out of you. They release new cards virtually every day, so there is no staying caught up without lots of money. The trade system is a joke, and the other players make this once fun game, unfun. Try it. It will be fun for a bit. But the money grabbing nature of it will take front and center, very quickly.
This game is genuinely incredible. No forced ads, you can always play, you don't have to rely on lives to refill, and everything in the game you can achieve and collect without spending any money at all. This is what apps are supposed to be like. If you like card battling games that are a little silly, not at the expense of amazing gameplay, try it out.
Awesome game. While I haven't played it for a while, I love the idea of turning everything into a card the only complaint that I have is that I think you need to focus a little less on adding more cards (for now at least) and more on the actual gameplay; i think all off the cards are kind of the same and need some diversity. 5 stars otherwise. other than that, great idea, great game, Do recommend.
I like this game, it has a lot of variety to it, they switch it up constantly, and are always adding more content. My only complaint is that while you can get gems by watching ads and spinning the wheel, you can easily be outpaced by players willing to fork out alot of cash, and the packs they offer for the most part are not very affordable often costing 15$ or more to purchase, which does not really feel worth it to me.
Fantastic game! By far my favorite, if you love card games and learning this is the game for you! The only thing I would change is the "trade meter". It's a function built in so newer players don't get taken advantage of in trades. That's all good and well but certain cards have a much higher play value than their rarity reflects. That being said you can't willingly overpay for a card you want due to the trade meter. There should be an option to override the meter if so desired.
Game is amazing. I saw an ad for this and it was decently funny so I decided to try it out. Every now and then the cards interact with you (as in different writers write the descriptions for each cards and they include themselves somehow), and seeing how a bunch of cards connect is really fun. They include so many categories and so many cards it's interesting to see what I'll come across next.
