I have used this app in the past and found work. I recently signed up again, paid $50 for a background check, and found the entire process has deteriorated. Restricing use to a phone makes it very challenging. I have had a number of issues posting my profilw, and the human assigned to help was useless and kept saying condescendingly, "I know you must be frustrated" and "I will share your concerns w the team."
I do not like being limited to accessing & updating my profile and messages only via the phone app. It is almost impossible to type on a small phone & prefer using a physical keyboard and cannot type on a small phone. I cannot update my profile by copying text from my resume on the phone app. I keep getting logged out, and then I cannot log back into my account. I have had success finding jobs in the past, but I am having many issues with the new phone app and the lack of desktop options.
I've had both very good and very bad experiences with this app and its services. At first, the entire process of connecting with families seeking care and getting paid was fairly smooth and easy. However, lately I've had issues with the app crashing and showing error messages when I've tried to apply for jobs. The frustration of not being able to respond to families to accept work was compounded by the lack of assistance from tech support. For a paid membership, I expect more and better.
It's good enough when it works. Recently, none of my applications show even "delivered", and after 40 minutes chat with an agent the only suggestion I was given was to check I have the latest version. I do. I did. Not helpful, and disappointing. How do you apply to anything if the applications aren't being delivered or seen? - Weeks later, issues not resolved, zero customer support. The people I connect with (when the app works) are great, the platform is deteriorating...
A completely negative experience Let's start with the app. 1 The app is inconvenient. I don't understand why you can't use the site through a browser. 2 Work:people ordering services take too long to decide whether you are suitable for the job or not and don't give an answer for a long time (and in the end they reject you anyway), so you have to turn down other offers. 3 Payment for using the app (subscription) The subscription is unreasonably expensive and very difficult to manage or cancel
Awful. Applied to over 30 jobs and have not heard back from a SINGLE ONE. Paid for the background check, did everything as requested still nothing. half of them don't even read your tesponse for your "application" when you apply. App often freezes with the lage just loading. Declined jobs or jobs way too far away even after updating your map of areas you want to work.
Every time I rejected job options, they just kept popping back up. There was no practical way to sort jobs clearly or keep the ones I wasn't interested in separate. You can't remove services once you've added them, and figuring out how to cancel my membership was a nightmare. The app wouldn't let me set any limits on where I wanted to work. I couldn't find any real work through this, either. On top of all that, tons of the job listings were clearly scams, full of weird descriptions/jokes.
Do NOT waste your money. I have had nothing but glitches with my profile and adding and then trying to delete a skill that I wasn't qualified for (I didn't realize until after I added it what certifications were required). Then I paid for the premium background check and was unable to access it a type size that was legible, and then 2 of my clients submitted wonderful reviews. Those reviews disappeared the next day and "Help" told me they were never there. I saw them with my own eyes on my app.
I've yet to be able to log in on the app. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, etc. I paid for the subscription and I can't even log in to finish setting anything up. It just sticks to "loading...". This is incredibly frustrating and it seems I'm not the only individual experiencing problems.
The updates you've made to the app have made it impossible to update your profile to add qualifications or to increase services. I called customer service to add a qualification. It's been over 5 days since the rep updated, and my childcare services status still says pending approval? I've called 2x, I'm being told they don't know how long it will take to update? Now, I'm not showing up in searches because of it. That's unacceptable. Make your app better and approve profiles in less than a day.
tech glitches seem to be fixed.Now that I have been able to use the app I have a new reason to be overly frustrated.98% of the ads the parents post for childcare is inaccurate! The don't put the right days/hours. When you message with them, they tell you a less rate as well. They double, triple post ads all different. wastes everyones time. I've used care as a computer app and never did I have to do this. They'd take down ads from parents for this,not anymore. No longer care to look out for us
I never got a single job, even after years of Care charging my card to keep my background check current. The app itself was confusing. I would post lower and lower rates, hoping to get a job, and apply to high paying jobs. Later, I was told that, if someone offers $20 per hour, but your rates say you'll do it for $10, when you are finally paid, it goes by your rates, not what was offered. I don't know if that is true though, as I never got a job.
This is by far the worst app ever. First I got my account paused for no reason then I was told I had to upgrade. When I tried to do that I was told my device won't let me download it. Absolutely no bueno. I have been using Care for a year or so and the customers are terrible. They expect someone perfect and they themselves are absolutely awful. Verbally abusive and put you through the ringer just to be told they hired someone else. Never again Personally I have had better luck with Craigslist
I found this service via online, but you have to access and do everything through the app. Which can be inconvenient -a lot of the time, not everyone lives on their phone. Paying monthly for background checks, driving records is unnecessary. Since most places of work, don't do more beyond the first background check.
This app has landed me a few great jobs. The issue is the platform SUCKS! It's constantly trying to load a page and takes forever! And I had issues uploading photos, as well as just now all of my messages are gone! Just vanished, I had a new one, and then it wouldn't open, then I tried again, and every message from past communications were GONE! On top of the fact, years ago it was free to the nanny, then we had to buy tokens to even look or apply to jobs, NOW we have to pay $18.95 a year! 😩
This app is good for connecting with families, but very very buggy. It constantly says I have notifications when I don't, and often when I click on different pages it will bug out and not load or give an error message. There's no way to turn off notification emails for new messages or requests either. It says I have pending job requests constantly as well, even if there are none. Unfortunately it's the only app for childcare that's widely used.
I was on this app for almost a month. I paid for premium and got the background check. I applied to many housekeeping jobs and got zero responses. This is even with my availability being almost completely open, looking for one time & recurring jobs, had a picture of myself, and a bio/about me. The background check was not even posted to my account even though I kept trying to add it to my profile. I wasted the money for the initial subscription and got nothing in return. Do not recommend!
Everyone is right in what they're saying that this app sucks. It worked fine for a couple days then it started giving issues. The biggest being it will give a notification I got a message when I open the app to look at the message there's like nothing there. It might not be much but im paying 9 dollars a month for an app that doesn't work properly. Also I just realized today that I got messages from August from job offers that never came through! Definitely need to fix the messaging issues.
Add a photo popup keeps appearing randomly and there's no way to get out of it. I have multiple photos on my profile and even sometimes I have the max amount allowed and it still pops up and then says you cannot add anymore photos. I have to quit the app and then come back in and sometimes have to go through the browser to get around it. Very frustrating. Please add a skip button!!!!
UPDATE: They charged me another year! This is a scam. Half the time I was unable to access the account, therfore I couldn't cancel the subscription and when I finally was able to find a way to contact them (good luck with that) they canceled the account with a poor reason, never explained why I couldn't access the account despute several attempts, and at the end they pocket the money, mind you that the subscription amount was charge like 15 days before the force cancelation.
