I was disappointed that after I signed up and paid the $40 subscription, that there were no qualified caregivers in my area. I received 8 applications within a day of posting and zero subsequent applications in 2-4 weeks since. Even with higher than average rate of pay, applications are seemingly not qualified or don't have people skills necessary to handle a brief interview with screening questions.
I wanted to find a caregiver. Signed up for the subscription. Got stuck in some weird loop. I can't even access the account to cancel the subscription! You have to download one app for caregivers and one to find jobs. Years ago I looked for a job and registered with the site. I was told to go back and use another email to search for caregivers. Now I can't get into either application via the app they keep telling me to download even though I am USING the app!!!! so frustrating.
If I could give this app and company zero stars I would. Had a time sensitive need to hire a nanny and bought a monthly membership. Got stuck in a verification loop on the app, website, tried using Mac and PC and various browsers. nothing worked. Spoke with customer service 3 times and essentially got "did you turn it off and back on" level of assistance. Asked for a refund and was told I didn't qualify for one despite never being able to communicate with a caregiver once. Beyond disappointed
It is a great way to find side work. However the app does glitch and not send messages immediately. One time I received multiple messages at once and the sender recieve multiples at once also. Both thought the other qas bad at communicating but, it was rhe all having a problem. Hope it gets fixed soon. Found a few work opportunities through here. And it doesn't let me upload a picture. I have tried to download a photo, take a photo of a photo and take a current picture. Nothing worked.
Not consistently accurate, App freezing up, and slow to refresh. Not as many candidates as advertised, plus there are sitters and nannies that advertise to be hired, but haven't been active in months. The app is slow and lagging, the website runs a bit smother but still not the greatest. It takes about 20 min. or so for anything to refresh, including messages. There is no customer service contact for no shows and you still get charged for the services, even when a sitter is a no call, no show.
This app is effective, but not efficient. I was able to review many applicants for a position, but it was not easy to do once the applicants started pouring in. When you "delete" unqualified applicants, your thread with them keeps popping back into your lineup, making it extremely difficult to keep track of who you really are or are not interested in. I found myself constantly re-reviewing applicants, which was very time-consuming.
I signed up for one month, even though it was more expensive because I only needed the service for 30 days. They have a sneaky feature that recharges you every month. No notification or anything, just a charge. I received no email informing me that I would be charged and did not see any information while purchasing a premium membership. I ended up being charged the $40 twice even though I got nothing from their services. They refuse to give refunds. Watch out.
Would give it zero stars if I could. App is incredibly overpriced. Most apps would give you a free trial for however long to use their app and decide whether or not you like it and want to continue your membership. However the free "basic" membership is pointless. What is the point in being able to create an ad to find a babysitter when you cant even read messages you get in response to it? Wouldnt recommend at all. Will be deleting and looking at other ways to find a babysitter.
The app is fairly user friendly. However, it is very expensive for middle class (or lower) people. At the price most are charging we might as well just pay daycare. It was extremely annoying trying to downgrade or delete the account. I had to upgrade to speak with anyone, then when I discovered people were charging 15/hour (which is fine if you need someone for a night out, but not daily) I had to downgrade the account before I could delete it.
The app keeps glitching. I can't even search for caregivers. Everytime I click on a person, it sends me back to login and then never logs me back in or does the same thing. I have tried the website and app. Same issue. I am also not getting messages in real time. Some of the n messages are being sent to my email and some are not. I Uninstalled the app and reinstalled it and still having the same issues. When I go to their help center, It glitches! I can't even respond back in the chat
This app is very buggy, and they will charge you even if you have cancelled a booking. Customer service is literally the worst I've ever experienced, and even though they confirmed I had cancelled a booking and was charged anyways, would not give me a refund. Every request they would just say the issue is resolved, and leave no ability to respond. Stay away! Terrible company and app!
The business model requires a premium membership to read/respond to messages. I subscribed for 3 months, but my account was flagged and deactivated without clear reason. After reactivation, my subscription was missing. Support said they're working on it but gave no timeline. Now, I can't communicate with applicants, and I'm receiving constant discount offers for the subscription I already paid for but don't have. This has made finding a sitter challenging and frustrating.
I got this app as recommended by a friend. She said that's how she takes jobs, but there's no way to search for a particular caregiver at least when you're new to the app, even with a paid account. I like that I can chat directly in the app with potential hires, but not being able to search out known people is a deal breaker. We very likely won't pay for another year of access.
Be careful. Seems like it might be a good app according to others. But what a trainwreck trying to log in. I have issues every time, it does not recognize my information. Glad I didn't pay for this mess. Update: Was able to reset password and get into the site. Membership is required for access. I was informed today that my membership to this app has been terminated. Retaliation for a poor review I suspect. Would have reduced to zero stars but would not let me. No surprise. Stay away.
I have had nothing but problens the last couple of weeks. I can not change my address because apparently it cant be verified ( obviously its verifiable, I live there). I am forced to use a credit card to pay for one time jobs in advance, I would prefer to pay cash or use a cash transfer app instead, plus everytime I change the card that I want to use it reverts back an old one that I dont use anymore. I have had jobs that I confirmed that have been canceled for no reason. Not worth the money.
Im feel hoodwinked. While signing up, I was charged an additional $60, and I thought it was the amount I would be paying when it renewed, then I realized it was an additional charge. I contacted them immediately and they refused to give me a refund. It has been escalated... Im still waiting for a response and a refund. With the app being super slow and literally not being able to even respond, it makes this app useless without a subscription. I'd give a zero if I could.
It is now June 2021. The messages lag constantly. The message dot remains after checking, profile doesn't update. This app has a lot of bugs and is slow to respond to icon selection and updates in messages/profile. Also, don't buy the background check option. It is useless because you can only get the background info if the caregiver is also paying for the service. I submitted for beckons check on 2 caregivers a week ago and I still haven't received it. Definitely not worth the extra $20.
NOTHING works! They have not "fixed some bug," as their last update indicates. Can't save my caregiver's info. Can't tell if a payment to caregiver was sent/received. Can't run background checks (On hold for an hour before they told me to call the background co, which doesn't answer the phone either). The only thing that did work was my anual subscription -- They were more than happy to take my money. You'd do better w/Craigslist and figuring out how to do a background check yourself.
I never write reviews, but as I am in the midst of a nanny search and am using this constantly, I feel compelled to provide feedback. The navigation on this app sucks. You can not easily switch between the messages and the profiles. The website is the same way. (I have more complaints about the website that I will provide elsewhere.) I strongly recommend that both the mobile app and website be overhauled for easier and more intuitive navigation.
Overpriced app. At first I thought this app was great. Then I actually decided to post a add for a sitter and that's when you realize in order to actually read messages or contact a nanny /sitter you have to pay close to $40 for only one month. They have a one month ...3 month...and yearly package. They are way overpriced. I'd use this for $20 or less but $40 or more is a joke. You still have to pay your sitter so this adds up quick . Can't stress enough, completely overpriced service.
