Carousell: Sell and Buy

carousell support in getting back my correct account (had issues finding the right one after the 1 account limit due to changing phones+forgetting account name etc.) was great! was wondering if they have a feature request place but since i can't find one: might be good to add an "overseas until _" feature for sellers incase buyers pay when we're unable to send out items

I'm not sure what happened, but I can't look at listings outside of my own state, so instead of "All of Malaysia", it's just the listings 1 kilometers near me ? This really disturbs my browsing experience as I like to buy books and collectibles. Please fix this because I've already tried everything from turning off my location to redownloading the app.

Ads are very annoying. New layout not easy to use. I accidentally thought my post had an error. So I deleted my initial post and repost the item for sale. It was deemed as 'violation' of some rules. It was a genuine mistake. The AI immediately detected it was against their rule. When I wrote an appeal, my appeal was rejected which took more than a week to resolve. 👎

Overall experience so far is good as always managed to get the lowest prices for items I'm interested in. However, some unfavorable transaction experiences had occurred and even with feedback to carousell, no response was received. Look forward to more done to put in place so transactions can be even more safe and smooth.

I used to used carousel all the time but now the app is so tiresome to use I don't bother. I can understand the ads, they have to make money somehow, but they have made it increasingly difficult to actually chat to the seller, instead you are encouraged to just buy the item through their own portal. Maybe I want to speak to the seller to discuss pick up options before I buy.

Using this app for a couple years now. Works really well! is maintained well also. big user base. More and more features for buyer protection etc. while making it easy to pay directly to seller too. A bit more ads lately which can be a bit annoying sometimes, but I understand the necessity.

2026 - Was thinking of finding an item and selling some, opened the app and was forced to view ads.. closed and deleted. At least Facebook market doesn't shove ads in your face. 2025 - App already has so much unwanted ads. Much easier selling on Facebook than carouhell. 2024 - The search randomly works or doesn't, requiring several instances of the same page run. Used to be a free platform to sell your 2nd hand or unwanted goodies. Now it's chargeable to list. Utterly disappointed.

This app allows ads to automatically open other apps without clicking on them. Specifically, ads for shopee and lazada automatically open those apps when you scroll past. I don't know if this is carousell's fault directly, but I'm sure you can do something about it.

Carousell's delivery services sucks. Spoilt my item's packaging which is meant to keep item sanitised and hygienic, raised it for a refund, and Carousell said no refund because the item itself is not damaged. Kept having auto replies through Emily bot and customer service not even hearing me out before determining the outcome. If Carousell's courier services are like that, then honestly don't provide it. It upsets both sellers and buyers. Signpost is so much better.

Dumbest app ever. If switch to professional account, cannot switch back. Verify identity for bank withdrawal already 6 months still no response with same notification " it takes 1 to 3days" Contacted support and submitted ticket twice. No response. And you let an AI chatbox to help me? I'm out. This is one of the worst app I've ever experienced.

Update no longer allows you to edit photos in-app. Flagging system flags everything as a duplicate even when they are clearly different items. Newest update that nobody asked for: Seller View. Hid my listing and I cannot find the notification, but support told me I can only appeal through the notification.

silly app is getting more and more unusable. the ads are littered throughout the listings, any touch on them will bring you to an ad you did not ask for. it makes your own listing harder and harder to manage, which discourages you from using it. occasionally, you'll chance upon prescriptional meds( your lucky day!), you try reporting such unlawful listings and be told with an automated reply of 'there's nth unlawful'. hope this app will run into issues with the law soon

a great place for buying/selling second hand items, but the app could've been better if there were less intrusive ads. also stop adding ai slops into the app, we don't need an ai-generated paragraph when posting stuff to sell.

Sellers are able to outright lie about clothes sizing and customer support refuses to help, giving a painful email back and forth with slow response time and basically telling me to deal with the lying seller myself. The app has really fallen from its good days and Ive been a loyal user for many years. A real pity I dont think I will trust this platform again.

Old issue: Unable to feedback on seller unless deal is closed but sellers don't close the bulk item deals. Was 'aeroplaned' by a seller, arranged to collect an item at the shop today bt nt open, pm bt no reply n waited for 1.5hrs b4 leaving. Eventually, seller replied only after i left a neg feedback on the item itself 5hrs later. Ads=1*

Tried to list a product for sale but my listing got hidden from public without any reason given. Can't appeal or whatsoever and when contact support either through mail or Chat bot, never ever received a reply. Every year, app gets harder and harder to use with lot of ads now and the AI moderation is horrible

The app is polluted by thousands of ads with fake prices ($0 or $1) to appear on top, fake items, some kind of services, duplicated ads across multiple fishy accounts, etc... The moderation team is unresponsive and completely ignore any reports made since years. At least in Hong Kong. Not sure how it is handled in other places. If you need a full-time employee with common sense here, let me know, I can spend 1 hour/day to do some moderation, so basically more than your own employees.

recent experience was poor, I posted an item for sale, after receiving several inquiries, they were blocked, and subsequently I saw someone take my items reposted for sale using my items photo. No action taken to remove the scam seller by carousel. Changing my rating to 1 star from 5 star.

After the lastest update, app freeze unable to scroll etc etc unable to use the app normally, please fix it asap. Update is for solving issues and bugs not creating it. getting worse each day , 2026 worse online shopping platform.

wat the hell is happening again server error again always happening frequently dis days even wif on n off random frequency updates of ur app u seriously need to fix up the bugs leh!!!! all my devices encounter the same thing.. obviously its ur app.. neither its the telco..
