It's a unique app. The app supposedly allows multiple pics to be selected. So far using pics from my phone gallery album, I can only load one. So far on one of my cats, I get varied results. I guess it may be accurate at times, but definitely not all the time or even most of the times. The developer contacted me for information. If multiple pics in an album cannot be selected, go to the album and select the pic then share to the app. Works fine, but accuracy is still the same.

Its a great app to showcase your adorable kittens only when it able to connect to the internet. On the daily I have so much troubles I almost broke my phone trying to get a picture to go through 10 times. And I deal with this issue every 2 pics I upload. If for recommendations, I would wish to see if you guys could add stickers to the pictures when we share them with other people so we can have more fun with it. Otherwise, the app truly is great for me when its working and I love seeing cats.

Was not expecting the accuracy of this app, normally I don't review my apps, but this one in particular deserves an applause for how easy it was to use. Not only that, you also have the option to watch ads instead of being forced to pay or get a "free trial" :) i will be recommending this app to my friends and family. However im sure that it helps if you have a more "up-to-date" cellphone camera, my camera on my cell phone is very high quality so that should also help with the accuracy as well!

It's different information almost EVERYTIME you scan, and the ads are so bad. If I needed this app in a pinch, I most definitely could NOT rely on it. You'll be watching an ad for at least 30 seconds before you can scan a cat. And as elusive as cats are, that's not convenient. The reason it got 2 stars instead of one is because it does do its best to identify your cat and at the very least it can give you a starting point. But I'd scan at least 10 times and pick the most mentioned one.

Took a picture of my cat...my results were "Purebred Tuxedo." I get that pictures can only go so far in identifying a breed, but "tuxedo" is *not* even a breed. It's a coloration pattern. 🤦🏻‍♂️😕 It's a neat concept, but when it confuses coloration patterns for breeds, it has a long way to go. "Purebred Tuxedo" should not even be a profile in the results database. Otherwise, it's a neat concept, and the GUI is clean. The UX is user-friendly.

The app asked for a credit card number to set up a free account. It rejected the first one and I (stupidly) entered a second one, which was also rejected 'for errors.' Update -There was an activate button on the app that I used, not noticing that it was an ad, so I guess it's my fault for getting my card numbers stolen. There was a lock symbol on the URL, so I thought I was safe. I'm sorry I blamed the app for something that was my own stupid fault. I hope this helps someone else.

This App is so much fun and it actually gets it right, if you can manage to get a good enough picture! I highly recommend for the entertainment value alone. I got the Cat Scanner App, too. It's just as great! You won't be disappointed if you have a sense of humor to go along with it. My daughter can't wait until it's available on the iPhone soon, so she can play around with it, too! Glad I have an Android!

Not trying to be rude but the results seem kind of suspicious. I had some cats from the same litter and they all ended up with different results. I tried over ans over but finally got Similliar results. It might be becuase they have different patterns but I'm not quite sure The app is still fun to play around with and the results are somewhat true.

Calico cat isn't a helpful classification. It isn't a breed, as even mentioned in the app. The rating is also low because the ads are very intrusive. I wanted to find a link to support to mention how unhelpful calico was, but an ad popped up before I even knew what was happening. There was already a banner ad running!

Hilarious. My cat seems to be able to impersonate a few breeds. But she's just a ginger moggie who likes to show off, who strayed into my house. I have no idea where she came from I think if you get a well behaved cat and good lighting, they may be able to get it more accurately .But mine kept on posing and not behaving. After all it is all attention. After looking at the other cat scanners This one is much better. There are no error messages. But will check the fee, I didn't need to pay.

The good: worked fairly quickly and easily. The could be better: the access to the photo gallery is not typical and required a little fiddling to access my local images. The bad: 1) the app identified my cat, with SHOCKING accuracy, as a Calico. Not a breed. 2) the ad presentation needs some work.

I put in both of my cats and got American shorthair. One of them is, but the bigger problem is that this isn't a breed. It's a catch-all term for cats with features from different ancestral breeds. Then the even bigger problem is that they said they're only about 27% sure about the result (both times). If they're struggling to define targets by a designation that applies to most US cats, whatever they're doing to train their algorithm is really not working.

Definately identifies a lot of breeds. 4 stars because it needs a little work. I have an Arabian Wildcat (surprise, surpise), and the app recognises it as a Tuxedo. I understand why, since the fur pattern is nearly identical to a tuxedo, but the body shape is different. Great app, not perfect though

Helpful app, even though I scanned 3 kittens (1 photo of each) and one was right, with another I wasnt sure, and one was wrong and I corrected it. The misidentified as one was completely white, just dirty since he's an outdoor kitten, and when I scanned it, it said it was a mix of 2 breeds (snowshoe and Turkish van) that have nothing in common with the kitten, his siblings, or his parents. Good overall, though. Just a few scanning errors are fine!

Works amazingly, gives you options to add multiple photos to better identify the cat(s) breed, has informational facts or background of the breeds of cats, you can share results and has a community you can involve yourself in. What's really great is that it also allows you to "correct" the results afterwards & doing so can help the app with future results (for user and others)

It does a good job for such a complex task. It will probably come up with (e.g) 4 possibilities when your cat is very likely just one or two of them. But the photos and descriptions they give you of the breeds in less than 30 seconds, for FREE, will likely enable you to identify what breed/s the cat you're photographing is.

Surprisingly accurate! I even tried to trick the app by using a picture of a lion. The result it gave me was...a freaking LION! Initially I came to rate the app 5 stars. While writing my review, I decided that I should also support the developers by upgrading to premium. I figured it'd be a few dollars. .99¢, maybe $2.99 at most. So I go back to the app & find that you have to pay a reoccurring subscription, OR $15 for a lifetime sub. Sorry devs; No Sale. Not on a novelty, fun once, app. :/

Great Idea but needs work: I scanned three cats that are all Hong Kong domestic shorthairs, with a distinctly Chinese look. It recognized my tortoise shell DSH as a tortie - which isn't a real breed, and my two tricolour DSH's as mixed breeds, with a guess of three-four breed combo. I feel the app has limited itself to what I could find on the web. Add in annoying adds and requests for me to pay to subscribe, and honestly it's a little disappointing. A fun idea that I wouldn't pay for.

Changed from last time. I know what my 2 cats are and it shows 3-4 different types. Especially mixed breeds. I downloaded this yesterday and payed for 1 year at 70% off so it was around $3.99. I came back on today and all I see is ads and this program trying to get me to pay weekly, monthly or lifetime. Must be because I already payed for a year.

App is informative and easy to use. I would have given a better score if I had the option to exclude color breeds, such as calico and tortoiseshell, or simply made a distinction in the result like a secondary results page. It is pretty clear that my cat is a calico. I had to download another app to find out what I was looking for.
