CCleaner – Phone Cleaner

This app was great. It cleared my cache so quickly and easily. Then suddenly with the most recent update, it literally stopped working. I tap on the app and it starts to open. Then it closes about 2 seconds later. I'm paying for this app and will give only a few days for it to be fixed before I ask for a refund. If you can't fix it fast, at least have it revert to the previous version that did work.

I used to have this on all devices and it used to work amazing. once cc7 came out, everything went downhill. especially on a computer. takes up to an hour just to open, then another 30 minutes to scan and even longer to clean. the phone version is just a bunch of ads. based off other reviews, not taking the chance on the paid version.

wasn't this app bought by another company? why does it still say Piriform? The app won't scan again, after a scan was completed and results reviewed. Also I can't switch to another app, settings, or the home screen while cleaning. This app also needs a 'Startup Manager'. The app showed me two back to back ads during the cleaning, and came as a surprise. I didn't know how to exit from the ad, without closing the app.

stop asking me to upgrade to the even more expensive version that is only necessary or useful if you're using a computer, every time I open the app when I'm using a phone! I'm already paying for pro and I don't need pro plus, I shouldn't have to decline this every time I open the app. It's basically an ad. If I find another app that does the same thing and doesn't keep asking me to upgrade I'll drop my subscription to this app in a heartbeat. stop annoying customers who are already paying!

Ccleaner app does an okay job in the free mode. Occasionally a deeper clean is offered for "watching an ad". Except these are not ads, but promos for games to play on your phone that go on and on. It is almost impossible to click out, the option is only to install a game I do not want. While I'm amenable to watching an ad, that is not what is going on here. I have to stop CCleaner from my apps list, then of course I don't have any cleaning done at all.

EDIT: I've used the free version for years, decided to upgrade to Pro in order to avoid the ads. Big mistake. There's a problem with the pricing. The in-app price for an annual subscription was supposed to be $11.99/year, but I was charged $11.99/MONTH. In-app price is $7.99/YEAR as of 11/13. I contacted the vendor & Google Play Store support; neither of them would help. Canceled after the first month. NO customer service, dropped to 1 star.

I liked it initially but then a deep clean was not available anymore on a free version so I uninstalled it. - An update. About a year later I gave it a try again and liked it fine. There was a solid free component and that was all I needed. Recently it seems to halt at the paywall upgrade options and the most basic cleaning functions are not working. I have three mobile devices, two are old devices used for additional social media but since I can't maintain them with this anymore, its gone.

BEWARE! I never received the paid version of the application(which was supposed to be sent to my email with an activation key. I've been in touch with them multiple times, explained everything, in great detail, to download/restore the paid version. Sent them a copy of the Google Play receipt proving I purchased it over a year ago. There emails were generic responses every time as if they never read anything I wrote. You guys aren't seeming to get it. I've already done as advised, multiple times

Hard to navigate, tried to log out so I can log back in, says I have invalid email, which I know is not right because I get emails from them, and it's the same email I've used for 20 years. Widget on the home screen floating around always in the way, go ahead try and figure out how to get rid of that. I've been at it 3 hours, definitely not worth the money, going to cancel my Pro subscription for sure.

Ccleaner, did you just become a bigger sellout then Google? Can't do anything wothout another ad in the way. Too bad, this was a good tool. Update, just keeps getting worse, now it can't find a video to watch on the free version so it just doesn't do anything. I let it try five times in an hour, five times the next day and the next, never did 'find' a an ad to show me to continue cleaning. Annoying someone into buying your product doesn't work, they just find another product.

I have the new version of your app, but I don't have the "Pro Tools for Free" option anymore?? Had it on my last phone (older version), but it's gone on my new one. Explain yourselves. I'm not paying for something I could access for free for over a damn year. >.> If you can't tell me how to get that back then rec me one of your best competitors. Uninstalling.

This was a must have for any cell phone and computer (for a computer it still is very good). I have recommended this for years. They have ruined it on a cell phone with games and ads that just start putting out loud sounds/music. This is bothersome in a work or the doctors office (for example). it is one thing to try to sell you something, but to have loud sound/ music just start everytime you use it is just flat out unacceptable. I removed it because they just didn't resolve this issue.

Finally found cc. Been using on pc forever. This is a no BS program. Does what it's supposed to. No ads. Thanks to developers! What happened? I had to uninstall because of so many ads! Holy cow! I would gladly use again if no ads, or even a paid one time version. I hate in app purchases. It is just one more thing to want to clean out of my phone! I originally gave 5 stars.

This used to be a good program. Then they took everything they looped you in with on the free version and made it pay like the hidden cache cleaner. I switched to 1tap, because it's still free for the hidden cache cleaner, and it actually cleans better. It also has waaaaay fewer pop up ads. I was a cleaner fan for years. Now they are just obsolete. It's not user friendly either since they changed it. I don't want to have to tell an app 3 times to start cleaning. Stop wasting my damn time.

This is a very good app! However, I selected the option to delete one of the things in my downloads folder, and it DELETED EVERYTHING IN IT. The same thing happened sometime later when I wanted to delete Facebook's app data and had every downloaded song on Spotify deleted. I really appreciate the app, but I lost a lot of stuff in my downloads folder that I wanted to keep and will never get back.

Free mode: It takes ridiculous amounts of time to scan for selecting which apps to hibernate. I'm talking like 10 minutes, often getting stuck halfway and not moving, so I think it's frozen and back out only to see it say it's ready as soon as I do, and the cycle restarts. This happens on every phone I've ever had and they aren't old. The app is great when it works but it doesn't for me.

I have used the CPU version for years. However the application leaves me disappointed. I used to be able to clear all processes with and cache without the upgrade, now, the free version has gotten worse with more ads and less options. Desktop version is great, I will remain dedicated to that. The app however, will be disposed of, as there are other cleaners that do more for less, nothing I can't really do myself in process settings without the app. It had just made it easier. Best wishes foward.

Was once a five-star program. Now two stars, and sinking fast. It starts up and is very, very, slow. If the phone's screen locks (and it will) or if you go to another program, CCleaner just stops. Hangs at 10, 14, and 20% Analyzing for minutes and minutes. Sometimes going back and re-starting the clean helps. Sometimes it doesn't. Now, if you have fifteen minutes to sit and stare at the phone and keep it alive, CCleaner will probably work for you. And no, Piriform, making the free version work extremely poorly is NOT a good way to motivate users to go for the paid version. Why would I expect it to work any more ad-free? Maybe the ads aren't the problem. I'm not going to pay to find out.

After CCleaner pro disappeared from play, which I had paid for. I paid for a yearly subscription. After an update, it changed to add based, with no ability to put it back to the paid app without paying for another subscription. There is no way of contacting them to let them know this occurred (without paying for another subscription). This is unbelievably poor customer service. DO NOT GET THIS APP!!!

You would have got 5 stars if you stopped the interference with the scan in progress. To many add interruptions. I do not want to see this. Had to go to the free version, for a short time. Price went up. From what I use to pay. Do not know if I will go back to the full paid version due to price increase and due to ad interruptions. I like your app until this was trusted and worked great. Wht happened?
