I’ve been using the Changi app for a while and it’s honestly very handy. The layout is simple, everything loads quickly, and it’s easy to find what I need without clicking around too much. I really like: Flight updates- I can quickly check my gate and timing without looking at the big screens. Maps & shops- Helpful when I’m trying to find food, prayer rooms or specific shops in the terminals. Promos & rewards- Nice extra perks, especially if you pass through Changi often.
It takes a genius to restrict ALL PAYMENTS just because of the "Shared Responsibility Framework". I couldn't make payment because I just logged in on my new phone for the first time. Do you think you're a bloody bank?? What's the use of restricting EVERYTHING for 12 hours rather than to restrict newly added cards? or simply add OTP Verification for transactions in the first 12h?? This is what happens when you maintain an app with no UX in mind. Do you think tourists will sign up 12h ahead?
Unable to save the flight that I am monitoring. Shows me from yesterday the stupid same thing, "currently unavailable".
horrid experience. system down and unable to use their parking apps. regret driving to airport ... just remember folks! don't trust their apps at all cost.... takes ages to rectify it hence you're on your own....
very usefull and easy to use but once awhile app crash and need to re install again !!
* the app is v. slow to launch. graphics are too fancy. * buttons move while the graphics load, so easy to press wrong button * too many popups. very annoying (better if these were buttons on the screen to be used if needed, not popups). * new black background and miniature font size is hard to read. the old format was better * no "first bag on belt" info any more. this was v. useful if collecting someone at the pickup point, or if arriving at T1 where luggage arrival is often delayed
I cannot access my Changi Pay wallet today. All the app did was flash a red message 'Something went wrong' No other options available for help to fix problem. This is most worrying. I am travelling and Changi Pay is just so unreliable.
Did not recieve rewards points nor parking rebate despite scanning my membership QR at payment. When you have failed a customer I strongly suggest you do a refund rather than a coupon for their next visit. This coupon is basically expecting to visit Changi again, aka expecting me to be a repeat customer when you have already failed me as a customer in the first place.
One wonders if the developers of this app have actually tried to use it. Firstly, signing up is a nightmare - for me entering my date of birth (mandatory) required no less than 720 key presses through an un-editable calendar to take me back to March 1958. After signing up, I find that the app regularly locks up and is very slow. Thirdly the UI is so saturated with advertising and promotions that it's difficult to find anything of real value. Uninstalled as it's not worth the effort.
Your bag tracker which is one of the more important features no longer works. Keeps saying invalid. Never happened before the update. Not sure how to reach developer even though they asked me to reach out
For an app that doesn't have to do a lot, it does it really badly. App often will take a while to respond to input, and sometimes just stop responding altogether forcing you to restart it. You can't just open and browse the map to see what's closest to you in the terminal, instead you need to know the name of the business you're searching for. When you do get a map and want to zoom in for businesses closer to where you're going, it only shows major businesses.
Overall it is good except the menu option of "My ishopchangi Order" is not working all the time! I can't access it, always show "An error has occurred. Please try again." This is frustrating especially you have made an online order! Changing of email ID is a total nightmare, need to contact Changi airport support and it took almost 2 weeks to settle 1 simple email changed. Lucky Changi support staffs are helpful, just that the backend solving team were taking too long to resolve the issue!
Ordered items from the shop, delivered only 2 out of 3 items. Customer service claimed all delivered. Issue not resolved, thing twice before you buy from here. Really bad experience.
Slow app to launch. Download only for China travel. Had lost count of how many times I had to set biometric fingerprint log in. The app seemed to prefer pin number.
Scanned a few alipay QR in China but not supported. And for Android version, keypad bottom is not visible thus I can't key 0 and decimal.
It is difficult to navigate in to wallet. you have to click scan, exit the camera then wallet. kind of wasting time when you are trying to check your wallet amt.
V2.8.2 crashes 100% of the time when I go to "Dining" or "Shopping". Previous versions were slow to open but at least they didn't crash. This is slow to open and almost useless if I can't even see what food options or shops are available at the terminal I will be landing at. Fortunately, flight search still works. Otherwise, this app is completely useless. Shame on you for being awarded such an expensive developer contract and yet you keep getting worse with each update!
Looks like the latest update (3.2.0, 1 Aug 2023) has fixed the false positive on non-rooted Android devices. Am able to login and use the app now. Thanks to the app dev team for looking into this promptly. Hope CAG can look into improving the uptime of the app (down for a few weeks) or offering other alternatives when app goes down (changi card has been phased out, only way was to go to the customer service counter with your receipt to get your points).
No approval payment when the merchant scans your QR code is dangerous. Please add in this feature and Alipay app has it. Thank you.
App payment key buttons not optimised for folding phones. Zero key is out of the screen's range making it practically impossible to input zero digit when making payment.
