Checkers Sixty60 is a very convenient and efficient app. My one big problem with it is the produce. Every time I place an order, at least one of the fresh produce items is of very poor quality. I appreciate the system where you can request a refund for such items, but its still quite frustrating. I order the things I do, because I need them. Once I get the damaged produced, I can't easily place another order, as I need to spend minimum of R350 to place one.

Overall okay. Visual design is very nice. But having to log into the app (phone number, otp and date of birth) EVERY time you want to use it, even if it's on the same day is VERY annoying. And would be great if it would show which stores had stock and maybe the option of doing pickup instead of just delivery.

Developers, you really have to work hard on live tracking a driver. Update after update you're not addressing that issue. When a driver picks up your order at a store, most of the time you can't track the movement. You will just hear a knock at the door. I bet you don't use the app because you would know and get frustrated like us.

Good app but improvements needed. 1. Every time I open the app, I need to update it. It's so annoying! I don't always have time to wait for it to update before ordering 2. Y'all need to give us an option to add or cancel items if the driver hasn't left yet. Many times we remember things after we've placed the order and don't want to pay a second delivery fee for one or two items 3. Y'all don't have the 'weighed' fruits and veggies in the app. Those are cheaper than the pre-packaged ones

The latest update is not good. 1. The sort low to high and high to low doesn't work. 2. The option to edit products in a submitted order, before they are picked in the store, has been removed. 3. If I want to include in my order an item that is only available at the hyper, there isn't an option to move all items to a hyper basket. We're forced to order from 2 stores and pay 2 delivery charges.

The app is far too slow. I tried adding a list, but after retrying multiple times, it doesn't add all the products that I searched and added. gave up after trying a 3rd time. good idea, but poor execution. because it's slow, when I add something more than once, it doesn't save the changes and it shoots back down to 1 of the product instead of 3 or more that I tried adding. it has potential but needs to be worked on

Generally excellent but the app has one major flaw... When placing an order and about to make payment, the app should confirm payment method like any other app but it doesn't. As soon as you click on "make payment" it automatically tries to deduct off the previously used bank details. When it declines it says cancel order or try again. Since I didn't want to cancel the order and start again, I just wanted to change payment method. So I pressed "retry". This is a stupid setup.

Please add an option where we can communicate with the driver either via texts or in app call. Or add the drivers number so we can contact him. It's very difficult when the tracking isn't working, you can't contact the driver. Please also fix the tracking. And an option to communicate with the shopper regarding a specific colour or meat quantity would be helpful too.

The update to the app keeps asking you for an OTP to verify even though I've done it many times now. It says it'll only ask once but it's a lie. The Ts and Cs opt you in to all marketing communications and it doesn't allow you to get delivery updates without being spammed with marketing notifications. Update: it's been two months and none of these issues have been addressed at all. Despite uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times when instructed to do so.

The latest update, while incorporating many new useful features, is not as smooth as the previous version, very slow, gets stuck, I have had to cancel my order and start over. I hope these bugs can be straightened out because I only use Checkers as my go-to due to smooth experience. Now I have no reason to prefer it over other apps. I would also like the checkers pet shop incorporated in the features. That would be a truly brilliant app.

This app is okay. Just do not use it after your card has expired. The adding payment option is very buggy. I tried to make an order last week and I just gave up with adding my card and went to the shop instead. I decided to edit my review and rate lower because this app is unreliable. It seems the latest bug is that it tells you the driver has arrived even though they are still 10min away. very upsetting

Extremely useful app, but definitely has its flaws. The app is slow to respond and some products don't appear when you search for them, only to then pop up as possible replacements for other products you selected in their place. On the plus side; the service good, with quick refunds if your products could not be delivered. Edit 16/02/26: With each update the app seems to be getting worse. Now it frequently gets stuck loading, forcing me to close and open it back up while shopping.

I really enjoy the Checkers app far more than other shopping apps. Fast loading, fast search, doesn't freeze, Drivers are friendly, rather earlier than late. One thing I would love to speed up rushed orders is the ability to select all items and select "Do not want an alternative". sometimes I am pushed for time and having to go through 35 items individually is a schlep. Other than that, product complaints are handled so simply and easily. I am definitely a huge fan.

It is fairly easy to use, it mostly works as intended, and if there are bugs they usually aren't Earth-shattering (like actual monetary losses or missing products). There is a little room for improvement on cached cart items and navigation tracking (having multiple browser tabs open might be end-user error), but really, it performs pretty well compared to other delivery apps. Not perfect, but close enough. :)

The app is convenient for ordering right to your door, although some of the drivers are frustrating! I placed an order, delivery was on it's way, next thing POOF, order is canceled due to "me not being present." Yet, I am sitting and waiting for the order and no one called to check. Nothing could be done by customer services as my order was canceled already, and credit was to be processed. The CS Agent apologized, but it's not her fault, AND I'm still left without items I required urgently!

The app is very good, I love how they put everything in groups and the ability to type your search. This makes it easier and faster for me to order. I'm just worried with the quality of some of the items I get, which suggests that either shopping is done quickly without checking the BB dates, ot the store is happy to give us nonsense. For the third time now, I received items that expire that same day or the following. I love the convenience, but convenience to get food that have clearly expired,

App is getting worse, and missing items during deliveries is getting more frequent. Yet the app team removed the ability to rate an order and make it more and more difficult to report missing items, adding more hoops you have to jump through. Also, the app expires your session during a delivery, often resulting in notifications not being received when the driver is on his way or arrived. I'll be deducting missing item values from the driver tip as this is the only avenue left.

I am beyond frustrated with Checkers Sixty60. Their policy is completely one-sided. If they find an item is out of stock, they cancel it on their end, but they don't give the customer the option to cancel the rest of the order. I ended up paying a massive delivery fee for a few random items I only put in my cart to meet the requirement. You’re essentially trapped into a purchase the moment you hit pay. For the price they charge for delivery, you’d expect basic features like a cancellation window

The app recently updated, now when I try to place orders from 6pm onwatds to 8pm, despite the app indicating delivery in 60 minutes, when getting to take payment, the delivery slots default ro the next day. I have reported this and the response was the store is busy and can not accept more orders. The same store was able to handle the capacity prior to the upgrade. This is Oudtshoorn with 2 Checkers stores doing deliveries. I find it extremely difficult to believe the store is busy.

I placed my order at precisely 8am. ETA is 11h30. Order hasn't arrived yet at 11h45. Upon checking the App I see the order time has been changed to 10h30 and ETA is now 12h30pm. Ridiculous service. I was hoping to give a minus review. Horrible service. Absolutely horrible. I checked on my order as I found it strange to not have received any updates, only to find it canceled due to payment failed. The money was deducted from my account, so not enough money left for reorder.
