The functionality is good overall. I have two issues though: 1. why can't credentials be saved? 2. for a while now, I think since the latest update, the cisco symbol keeps popping up in my notification bar and then disappearing a second later, while I am not connected or using the app. This should be fixed in order to prevent battery drainage.
Full of bugs. Connections will duplicate on their own in the list. Some can't be deleted. None can be renamed. A notification that the VPN is running will appear, but it might disappear while it's still running, and it doesn't disappear when it's stopped. This is the worse VPN app I've ever seen, I hope I can find another that supports the Cisco protocol.
I force stop this app everyday. I can tap menu => exit but within a few minutes the disconnected notification will reappear. There is also a problem where the app can't accept proxies forced by the organisation. Our managed services supplier actually suggested we setup a new apn everytime we connect on android which is ridiculous, it's easier to disconnect everytime you want to use the outside internet
Errors out on "unexpected internal error" when trying to connect. Discovered that it will only connect if my phone is connected to WiFi, if I'm on LTE it fails with an error. Hasn't worked right for months now. Even more disappointing that Cisco seems to ignore the reviews with issues.
Garbage app, will not let me past the login screen on my s9+. Another review from a year ago shows the exact same problem with exact same device and still they have not fixed it. I've worked with my company's a IT Department to no avail. I have encouraged my company to move on from this lousy overall platform but for now I'm stuck with it. Hopefully, one day they listen.
it works but it is useless: it asks for the password each time (at least, after phone reboot) and passwords are complex these days. also., they managed to not let Samsung store password in the sams account to restore it next time, so you must enter pwd each time.
Most of my company's contracts use Cisco gear, and I need to be able to VPN into their environments. The Android AnyConnect client only allowing for 1 profile XML to be stored at a time is prohibiting me from doing that, because it subsequently won't remember all of the addresses I need it to since connecting to any of them download their reapective profiles, which overwrites the previous one.
Painful experience. You are not able to store a password so one has to re-enter it every time. It doesn't support split tunneling on Android 8 or newer... Literally no one wants to use this app. If you have to use it because your university wants you to do so: use OpenConnect instead.
Hello, Thank you for your powerful and useful application. There are two issues that need to be addressed for better performance: There is a problem with saving passwords on Android and iOS. Please add an option to save the password. There are some errors when switching the connection between mobile data and Wi-Fi. If the app doesn’t disconnect and the network changes, these errors appear and become frustrating.
Using it to connect with the online stuff of my university. It's a bit slow, doesn't save passwords on its own (using the one from Android works) and it always shows running in the background even if there's no connection and the app is shut down. But it works and it's free.
The app itself is ok, but widgets are absolutte rubish. I have a Oneplus 6 with Android 8.1. Widgets stop working after you disconnect. The so called large widget changes size, after you disconnect. Your not abel to resize so it fits horisontly on your screen. My first impresion is not great, i give it 3 stars just because the app itself works. Just dont have high hopes that widgets will work.
the app has started crashing all the times, even when i am using my phone or not the app automatically disconnects my cell phone from internet. it itself breaks the connection. i have to give the credentials after every five minutes. it is really so much disappointing.
absolutely one of the worst apps I have ever used. at our university (Ghent) we are forced to use this app to use the wifi. on the smartphone the app either keeps logging off without a reason or doesn't let me log in with me smartphone because it's an "unauthorized mechanism" (but someway somehow it does let me login 10min later). application works totally sporadic and without any consistancy.
The app disconnects without warning. If you are using hotel WiFi, make sure to keep checking it. Also, you can't leave it on over night. It will disconnect, leaving your phone vulnerable. That is annoying, but aside from that it works well.
Overall good experience with older versions. Lately though, you added some new module called NVM, which is acting "funny" in the background even when not connected to vpn. It came without noticing us, and it collects kind of "more" than simple metadata. And in combination with other vpn services it sometimes hangs and draws battery down. Also this is a privacy breach! Please create option to disable it!
VPN keeps disconnecting. Seemed to start after Android 9.0 was installed. Used to be very robust and stayed connected all day, but it hardly stays connected for 5 minutes. Seems to disconnect when screen is off but will stay connected when screen is on. Using a OnePlus 6.
It works (but needs to be better.) This app is painfully slow to load, and worse yet, will not allow you to save credentials. Look forward to losing 2 minutes from your life every time you use this service for a process that should take 3-5 seconds with biometric authentication available.
6 months ago or so, this stopped working on my Chromebook, today it's stopped on my phone. When I complete the multifactor authentication it redirects to a localhost page with a connection refused error. The same thing happens on both devices now.
degraded drastically in the past month or so (both on mobile and pc). various connection problems, sometimes persistent for significant time, sudden disconnects (sometimes repetitive and frequent). and no option to store password or log in with biometrics, annoying!
No option to save a connections password. Ugly and out dated UI. Not having the option to cancel connection attempt so you have to wait minutes to see it fail or go to settings and kill the app. It's just terrible.
