Citibank currently is disputing a cancelled check with me four months after it was cancelled. On top of that, they reversed the payment causing my account to go almost double over my credit limit. Not very satisfied right now. The app works just fine, but the time period in which they handle cancelled checks is definitely unfair.
I've used several apps to manage my credit cards; this one is by far my favorite. It shows my payment dates / balance due, recent transactions, and pending transactions very efficiently. What I really like is that as soon as I make a payment, my remaining balance is immediately updated. I wish my other credit card apps did that. My only complaint about this app is if I have a slow data connection, the app will throw up a 6-digit pin request before I finish typing my password.
The app works really well. Paying my card bill & seeing my account balances is simple. Movement of money is pretty easy too. It is a bit cumbersome to navigate to viewing scheduled card payments however. They are not retrievable from the card screen. Must go through a few extra steps on the payments (not transfers) screen. 1 star off for that, but still very good.
Takes an absurdly long time to load whenever I try to make payments on my credit card, and I'm highly suspicious that it's intentional. It always takes a very very long time to load whenever I go to make a payment, so I usually have to go and do something else before it loads and forget to pay. I would not be surprised if this "long loading" is intentional so people like me forget to pay.
Last year this app was working for the most part. There was an occasional error message, but now it's on another level. It's 12/21/2024, the app looks cool, but every touch of the screen causes the app to have a seizure. I'm either getting an arror message, it will take minutes (which is an eternity for apps these days) to load, or it just won't work. I don't understand how some billon dollar companies can't make an app work. They are always adding stuff nobody uses. I'll update review if fixed.
I have 3 citi bank cards that all have various benefits and flex pay options. It can get complicated as I work to pay them all off. However, I've found there is a way to do everything I need within the app. I really like that I can adjust the auto pay up to the day its to be paid. My spending doesn't always match my budget so adjustments are critical as is Autopay. I can't recall all of my due dates across all 10 active credit accounts. Then there's the cars, home loans, and insurances! Taxes!
Good app, terrible customer relation experience. I've used a Citi card for decades. I had a bank payment error, I notified Citi immediately. They said too bad. I say I'll never use you again. Much better experience with Chase. Besides, with so many merchants charging to use a credit card, the 2% is getting to be pointless for many transactions.
spinning ball of death today. Plus, you need Sherlock Holmes to find your rewards balance. * update * I just opened a checking account yesterday and have run into more glitches in their system than I have found in most banking apps that I have been using for years. I tried calling customer service, and their phone system is the worst phone system I have encountered out of any company I have ever called. Terrible, terrible experience and it's only been one day. And I thought T-Mobile was bad...
Really like using the app for ease of making payments and for being in the know about all purchases, and current balance. I really appreciate the numerous security options/ alerts that are available to setup in the app to keep you informed about any purchases or activity on your account, and definitely like knowing the exact date of your monthly closing date for each billing cycle.
The City Mobile app is so much easier to use and more accurate than my other credit card app. I know exactly what's happening without delays . My one complaint is there are so many titles, words, spaces above the login that I can't see the password space. It's covered by the keyboard and I can't see if I've tapped a wrong key. Lose some of the unnecessary empty space and words at the top of the sign-in so the user name and password spaces are visible.
It has not always been intuitive. Has overall gotten better. Things like finding when the closing date is does take an effort of opening the last statement and seeing what it was the last month. Finding information about what coverage the credit card carries is difficult. Easiest to enter an application for a new card then see it there. what the offer provides. It seems that there should be
Dont use them! I had one of their card for a year and didnt use it until a few months ago. I had a $9,500 limit as this was supposed to be a secondary card. Thing i liked about it is, my payments would show available credit immediately after. I made all on-time payment, as Ive never missed one my entire life. Paid the balance down first day in Feb, 4 days later, I get declined at Walmart. go to look, my available credit went from $9500 to $670 with zero notice or reason given. I called and noth
Once a payment is made the balance amount is displayed immediately. This is displayed in a fun way appearing like a rolling meter ticking down until it reaches the amount paid. Although this might take a few days to clear the actual bank account. This is a very exciting feature no other card has that I'm aware of. Also the cash back rewards can appear in-store at time of purchase at the register (card reader)! I've had the cashier say would you like to use the $$$ off of this purchase?!
the App should have a CD maturity and final-reminder alarm that texts an individual, much like the payment texts, as this feature would be very helpful. I recently had to pay a $500 fee to switch a long-term CD that auto renewed to a ridiculously low rate. paying this early-withdrawal fee was ultimately very worth it, but I kind of felt like I was just another "lamb for the slaughter," rather than a valued long-term customer. Overall, the App is pretty good
bad experience so far. i applied for a card to do a balance transfer. got approved, went through creating sign in information, then got to the part to do the transfer and it popped up an error. so i exited and tried to log back in, it keeps telling me they are experiencing delays. i looked online to see if the site went down and see that people have been having that issue for months... not a good impression...
I use the Citi app to manage my credit card, as I don't use other services from them. i find the app works well. I have multiple cards issued by Citi, and the app handles this well. Everything is in an intuitive format and easy to access. There are good security options to insure that my data is safe. I would recommend this app to anyone needing these financial services. I am originally from NY and I wish there were more Coti branches in my area.
Idk if this is just the experience on my end, but the fact that the app takes me off the app and into a website where I have to log back in to make a payment on a loan is very annoying. Also, when putting something on flex pay, they started not showing the total you would pay over 12 months, and I just think that's a very scumbag thing to do. sure you can do the math yourself, but the app did that for me originally and then that feature disappeared. What if I wanted to compare the totals?
The Home Depot and Best Buy! Add these to the app, so annoying that you can't fix this. my Best Buy card is a VISA too and I can't register it. it would be so much nicer to be able to have this one app (CITI mobile) to be able to manage multiple cards that are affiliated or issued by Citibank. I have multiple (other than credit card) from Chase and I can manage all of them in one app. get this fixed and you'll have more people that are willing to use this app.
Favorite app so far. I have 3 different credit card apps and this is the only one that will let me just open it up and see my balance. I only have to log in when I want to perform any actions. I also enjoy checking out the breakdown of my purchases in pie charts. Many things offered in the app, but it's organized; keeping the important day to day stuff up top. I appreciate the effort put in to making a good app. Go give Disney some pointers.
App works fine. You can do pretty much anything that can be accomplished on your computer. Citibank also has one of the best rates of interest when compared to other Financial Institutions. Once set up, which can be done online to over the phone you can place excess funds in a Savings Account, Certificate of Deposit, or Checking Account. Money can be moved "on the spot" through the app. External Accounts can also be tied to your Citibank Accounts and funds are moved within a few days.
