City Island 5 - Building Sim

Has possibilities, but quickly becomes a game that you need to spend real money, a ton of real money, to actually play. Without spending money, you can inch, no, millimeter along for ages to earn game cash to maybe make one move in a week (spend time constantly clicking on buildings to get $, but it doesn't bank & increase over time). I'm unwilling to throw hundreds of dollars on this game, and I doubt others will either. Graphics are nice, but make play possible!

As always, this free game started off great but soon turned into a slow, boring disappointment. It would be nice if they had more instructions on how to get coins and keys, anyone can figure out the basics. After everything is bought once, you'll need gold coins to purchase any addition, which, of course, is hard to get, or you can buy them with real money. I was looking for a nice game to play in my downtime to relax, but it just gets frustrating. If things don't pick up, it's unsubscribe time!

Optional ad experience rips you off. you can choose to speed certain things up in the game by watching an ad, great idea, really! However, after you spend the forced 30 seconds of watching the ad, you dont receive the speed up as promised. Great idea, terrible execution. also, no place to submit a support ticket. Wouldn't recommend.

I really like the game. its fun to play. the only thing i do not like is if you happen to exit out of the game for a few seconds and come back to the game, your buildings go up HOURS! For instance something that only took a minute to upgrade now takes 9 hours to complete. its like you have to always be on the game for your buildings not to go up. Also, i use to get houses etc in the brown chests now all i get is money keys and tokens. Its not worth getting the chests anymore. Please FIX THIS.

Great experience overall! However I would say it take significantly long to make money as the building prices get more expensive. My city building will become slow to stagnant pretty quick if I didn't want to buy money. I didn't like that after a few purchases of the items you have to use coins. So after you use the default amount of coins given to you, I have to purchase more in order to use some of the same buildings. Pay to play after a certain period of time.( If u want to grow reasonably

Love the games but you need more opportunities to earn more gold. It seems to be geared to purchase the gold and it limits how far you can go. The new propertys are all for sale for high amounts of gold with very little ways to get more without having to spend money in the game. Which sucks. There are allot of ads and that's fine. That's what keeps the game free but it's not really free if you can't get the new propertys without buying large amounts of gold. Other then that the games are fun.

Cute concept and graphics, but doesn't let you build as you like moving further into the game. Economics are unsustainable unless you "pay to play." And I do mean just to play. After a few days, expense of items goes up so much in in-game currency that you can get about 40 seconds of activity in before you have to wait several DAYS in real life time for in game currencies to "exchange". Unless of course you want to pay real money to speed things up.

I pay for the subscription and have purchased 20+ cranes. Timers claim to be "faster" but are still several hours long. I like this game alot, have spent a lot of money on it and time on my cities, but I'm getting increasingly frustrated and disappointed that the timers are not faster when you have so many cities on all of the islands. There should also be some sort of "collect all" button. I spend more time clicking than building! I love the game so this is very sad cause I want to keep playing

Ive enjoyed playing the game and no issues in putting some $ in. But, I've maxed out all land and islands so now my experience is collecting money and making some tweaks. It's getting boring now and wish more land would be opened on islands or more islands. Not willing to spend more $ until the game expands. Support has been great and I've enjoyed playing but it's become stagnant. I won't even buy enhancements now because there is no land left to build them on. A great game until you max out.

I wrote a review already but do not see it. I'm not sure if it sparkling would erase it? It must have not posted. So, here I go again. I liked the game at first I was excited to find a game I believed I would enjoy and play offline. Building a city is right up my alley. I was able to buy all the buildings at first with money now it has to be coins. The prices to buy the coins...outrageous One of the goals is to spend 500 coins...500 coins cost $49.99 the rest of the goals was all about coins.

After 5 of these, you would think the camera would rotate. Gameplay is average. Nothing really different from others on the market. I actually got bored about 40 min in. I believe if the camera could move, I would enjoy it more. Not sure why it can't, there's other city builders that don't have even a quarter of the budget and they have a fully movable camera.

It is a good game. Things can get expensive, either purchasing with keys, or real money. But it is like that in most games. But I found a glitch in game that benefits the player. So it makes it a bit easier. I figure it will cut into the dev's pocketbook by at least 35%, or more. I found it by accident. But it is working like a charm... If you make things not as expensive, either with keys, gold coins, or real money, which I never spend on games . I could give game 5 stars.

I don't like the camera view. When building roads, for example, you can't see behind buildings to place the road. I feel like you should be able to have top down view or spin the map. Also bugged me that within 10 mins of playing I would open new cool things, but I couldn't use them on my island. It would prompt me to go buy more land. Maybe focus on getting the person interested in the game before you try to get them to expand. Honestly, after 10 mins I uninstalled. Maybe it gets better.

I really like this game. It's easy to control and understand, which can be hard to come by on mobile games. It's also just all around fun to build your own city. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars and not 5 is because the videos never work on my phone (the ones that offer a free chest or more keys, etc, if you watch an ad). The video plays, and I never get my "reward". I've even uninstalled and reinstalled to try to fix it, but it just doesn't work.

Great game, no real money required. No problems figuring how things work, and keeps growing with no issues. Generous with silver keys, and sometimes gold keys, not so much with gold coins, but that is premium. But there is a method for generating, very slowly, gold coins that doesn't cost real money. The key is making sure the number of people exactly equals number of employees. And all the happy buildings, etc., are keeping them happy - which makes me happy.

This game is barely worth playing anymore. For a while, if I was patient, I could still make progress, but now it's impossible. The "daily" reward from the lighthouse is suddenly now only given out once a week - even though the text still says to come back daily for a reward. It doesn't even turn off the flag after you visit. I cannot buy any new houses now without gold coins which you have to pay real money for. And to get extra perks you're given an option to watch an ad, however it is literal

It's a really fun game but realistically it takes too long to get to certain levels. For example with the snow level it asked for Community buildings I'm in level 16 but I have to wait to get to level 34 to get Community Builders realistically that's too long and I don't know if I'll be interested in keep doing it by then. It's too hard to earn the dollar gold coins and requires too many coins to achieve things.

This is a really fun game that continues and levels up at a fast pace. There are some consistent bug issues with exchanging currency (when I click to watch the video, at the end of the video it reverts back to waiting 10 hours). That is pretty frustrating. Plus, I wish it were easier to keep the citizens happy. But overall it's a very fun and varied game. Something that would be SUPER helful would be to be able to sort all the available community, residential, and commercial buildings by ground.

It has a easy on the eyes design, it's straightforward and fun to get into. However- after you build income properties, you have to literally be on the game clicking each property to collect the money, it doesn't stack during off game hours. So what you would collect in game every couple minutes, is all you'll get when you come back after sleeping. Which means it doesn't give you enough income to continue building after you hit the point where the game isn't feeding you funds for free anymore

I love this game! Can't seem to put it down! Just a few tips, 1: is cost, it gets really hard to upgrade and buy things because it gets really pricey real fast, and the building times are super long. 2: just a few gimmicks when it comes to graphics, oftentimes the bridges are sideways and the people don't interact with the buildings. I'd love to see some cars parked in front of buildings and people in my parks! It would just make it much more exciting. Besides that, I think it's a great game!
