Well shucks, the app doesn't work. Trying to enter a credit card under "add payment method" and keep getting the error "Well shucks, we're having trouble reaching Clover in the network". Network, both cell and Wi-Fi, is working fine for everything else. Can't order without a payment method, so the app is worse than useless, as it wasted 15min of my time.
1/18/26: Update to old review: I can finally log in but they haven't done much to make the app usable. There's no way for me to check how many points I have at places. There's no way to search for businesses in an area I'm traveling to. I can't filter businesses that do/don't have perks or do/don't take online orders. Basically only good for getting perks from places you already regular. 12/22/25: Same as dozens of others. Can't log in. Nothing you do will help. Just delete the app
Was able to save $5 off of a meal from a Jamaican Restaurant. All it took was choosing the deal and putting your phone number before paying. Very great way of saving money. Edit: A good app with good deals when it works. Had a time where the whole month of December and most of January I couldnt log in
Updated from 1 star to 2 star because they finally fixed an issue with sign in. Imagine you're a restaurant and you're customers can't sign into the app you sell ordering through. Also, there are still restaurants that I can find on the website that don't show up in app. I told the restaurant about, hopefully they contact you and fix it
The app, when it's working, is smooth. Every month (or two), the app doesn't function right, logs you out, and glitches. Honestly, it's not even worth the consistency of using the app to request orders. I'd rather call the restaurant/shop and request the order because time and time again, I've dealt with the same issues ever since I've added the app and used it. Not worth the trouble! So embarrassing.
I've been adding codes to receive points through the app. I registered my email and phone number. However, when I try to sign back in via email or phone, the "making sure you are not a robot" RECAPTCHA message appears and then kicks me back to the login screen. I've tried my phone number and email. I can't retrieve points or enter codes because I can't login. I've reinstalled the app too.
isn't this supposed to make it easier to order? Tried to make an account to order coffee from my favorite coffee shop, and the captcha failed with an error over and over. Finally bullied my way through it and tried to put in an order. Put in my email, confirmed my email, went back to the app and it asked me to put in an email. I did this loop 7 times before I gave up. literally was no point in downloading this app as it just made me frustrated.
Hadn't used the app for a couple of months and I find that I'm logged out when I open it. When I try to log back in it just shows the "reCAPTCHA...verifying you're not a robot" message and then quits. It never logs me in and I can't get past that screen. I had quite a few rewards built up in there that I can't access now.
So I placed an order online through clover to a gelato place in Plano. and apparently that store no longer uses clover. fine so how do I get my money back you say? I'd like to know that too, because there's not a way to contact someone through customer support just merchant support!!!! you should have at least 1 number that's separate or here's a novel idea, when you call maybe it says press 1 if you're a merchant and 2 if you're a customer. thanks for nothing & I won't be using this app again!
An app that requires a printed number to be inserted in order to receive points, but does not accept any version of the numbers printed on the receipt, is a very poorly developed app. I overheard a family talking behind me in the same restaurant. They go through the same struggles so I know it's not just me. Three receipts, three different days, the app rejected the numbers
When the app is working it's great. I would have one critique of it not defaulting to the location that I order from the most. I have to scroll through multiple locations everything I go to order from the same restaurant. My biggest issue is the inconsistencies with it actually working. I has been completely inoperable for about a week now. I restarted my phone, uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it is the same problem. I have experienced the app failing 3-4 times now in 2025.
This app used to be amazing for ordering food for your lunch break, especially for food trucks, but something has changed and it is now un-usable. New update logs you out and neither the app nor website will allow you to log back in and I have tried everything one can possibly imagine..... there isn't even an option to create a new account available anywhere and they won't let you order without an account so I don't know how they expect people to use their system or business to sign up with them
I've used the app for several years. I was receiving a message that the app couldn't connect to Clover. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. It worked for a few times. Now after uninstalling the app I keep receiving a message that another user has installed an incompatible version. I can't find any Clover app. I emailed for help and have not received a reply after waiting several days.
Don't understand the point of the app. Have been paying at Clover POS in different locations using same phone number, I would assume I could see past transactions if I login with the same phone number. Nope, nothing to see, no history. I can't see any loyalty programs for stores using Clover. Good to know that the company is lousy at tracking purchase history with phone number without a Clover account, but that also defeat the purpose of having an app. All in all, the app is rather useless.
The worst app ever. I can't get to my previous orders online, cannot create a password... ordered something from a restaurant that was supposed to be delivery and it went through as pickup. I called, they were out of what I ordered anyways. they say they can't cancel on their end and I have to do it from my end, I can't even get to the order to cancel on my end. Tried calling customer support, it's only for merchants...
Trust the reviews, the app sucks! Had rewards to redeem, and clicked the redeem button by accident before I got to the register. I figured it was okay since the app was "waiting on cashier". Once I did try to redeem, it had disappeared. You'd think the reward would stay until it's actually used..... The interface is basic and there isn't any way for you to look at account history...i don't know why restaurants choose this as their rewards systems, they'll just end up with frustrated customers...
This app is horrible. It kept saying could not calculate total. Would not let me place a mobile order. Previously, it would add an extra dollar if you added a tip. The calculations would be right, but the total would be wrong. One time it took me 3 weeks to update my credit card. It kept saying commination error.
Can't attach an email to my account, since the site constantly errors out on verification. Can't transfer my account to my new phone, because too many codes got sent due to erroring out and not sending any until I had done so ~3 times. No sign of a cooldown period, all I get is a condescending "aw shucks" message. So I guess I'm screwed out of points on my account, and there's no good way to contact customer service. Real professional.
Great in theory, in practice the app is mostly useless. Most employees at vendors don't know how to use the system to give u points. Only ONE vendor so far in 2 years has given me points. No support unless u have a merchant number. Transferred to a new phone and for 2 days i couldn't login bc it said my password was wrong (it wasn't), and i tried too many times so it just wouldn't let me. Used old phone to add phone # to profile. I was able to login using that after hours of trying.
There seems to be some kind of login issue that is preventing me from even ordering. I log into the app, I go to checkout, and it says I'm required to add a last name to my account, but when I click on that button it opens a form to open a new account. There's no place elsewhere to change this information. I tried my login on the clover website but that's not accepting my login info. I'm stuck in a limbo of being unable to order and unable to change the information to let me make an order.
