If you want to listen to anything you have to subscribe. There should be some free content, allow app listeners to join in on live broadcasts. There are 2 other issues that make this app a little frustrating and that is when you listen to archived shows, your spot will not be saved and the app itself does not update unless you exit and relaunch the app.

App has gone from okay to horrible. I don't understand how anyone could have allowed this to be released in this state. Streams cut out, you cannot manage downloaded episodes, sleep function doesn't work, are the biggest of a long list of issues. I've been a subscriber for over 20 years and this app single handedly going to cause me to cancel, if they don't fix it soon, because I cannot listen to the show anymore.

Very Buggy. I love this app when it works. 40 to 50% of the time I get the message that it's unable to stream on my phone. Sometimes if I close out and back several times it might work. It also freezes up when looking through the content to chose which show you want to listen to. It's annoying. I don't have issues streaming other apps or music etc. so I know it's not my phone. It's kind of frustrating to pay for a program that you can't access 40% of the time.

Don't download this, you'll regret it! After a lengthy week long email exchange with their tech support and changing several settings in my phone with no results, I was told the problem I'm having with the app stopping every 5 minutes is a "known issue" with this release. I'll just have to wait until they release an update which they don't have a timeframe for.

New update is horrible. It crashes all the time. I miss the old version and wished I would have never updated. As a coast insider I feel like I wasted my money as it's almost impossible to listen to the shows anymore. I won't be rewnewing if this isn't fixed. I have also emailed them and it's been several days and no response. If anyone is thinking of becoming a coast insider I would consider waiting till this issue is fixed. Edit. Did email them, no help and no refund. Dont waste youre money.

Keeps cutting out when screen sleeps. Same issue as so many others have stated. Bring back the old app. It worked very well. Also was able to listen to programs without music or ads. I won't be paying to extend if it's not fixed. Not everyone wants to use an iphone. 'Streaming Unavailable' keeps me from listening to shows. Not a problem at my end. Not a good app at all.

Don't like the new app. I was able to download the shows I wanted but then I couldn't find a way to play them back. I saw a review from someone else saying the music played during playback of downloads - I think it just plays as if you are streaming - that's why you get the music. Turns out deleting the downloads is pretty simple, just swipe left to reveal the trashcan icon. Don't like it at all.

The App needs some work. When I am listening to it while driving or on bluetooth headphones, I cannot control the playback through the bluetooth device. For example, if I am driving and listening to a show and turn my car off, the app doesn't automatically pause, it just keeps on playing. It's very annoying because the display in my car cannot pause the app, either. I have to open my phone to do that. This has been an issue for over a year and must be addressed.

Coast insider isn't a bad price, but the app is horrible. Constantly just restarts shows that I've been listening to for 3/4th of the hour segment. Listen live doesn't work at all. And it is not recognized by Android Auto, which means I have to unplug my phone to set up Bluetooth listening while driving. A shame because I'd love to listen on the go, but at the moment I'm stuck with the website to get the best experience.

I am not fond of this update. If you download a program it will not play the download but instead play it by streaming it. That means the commercials are included and it uses up data. The only way I can get the downloaded version to play is to put my phone on airplane mode. Additionally I cannot figure out how to delete downloaded programs once they have been listened too. The previous app was not as slick but it worked much better. I wish I could go back to it.

So sad!!! I fall asleep with Coast to Coast. I have for years. Usually asleep by the end of the first segment..if I want to listen to another then I can reach over and play it.. my decision. Now there is no way to keep it from continuing to play and play so then I have to fumble with getting into the app to try and shut it off!!! In the middle of the night!! The zzz function doesn't work. I tried playing from the website last night but it still just keeps playing. Please fix

5 years later and it started crashing again. Who writes this code? They should get fired. I have the same issues as everyone else. The app crashes, doesn't download, sometimes only lets you download and the streaming stops. Don't bother installing this and buying a subscription. It is a frustrating waste of what is a great show.

The updated version of this app is a vast improvement on the older version, but when it changed over it erased the years of episodes I downloaded on it. Despite all the improvements this new version still has it's bugs, some major ones being that it stops playing when my screen goes to sleep and the streaming not being available sometimes. Even the downloaded episodes, which is weird. Considering how much we pay for membership, fixing these problems soon would be greatly appreciated.

Positives 1. Plays Coast to Coast Insider podcasts of past shows Cons 1. Does not work with Bluetooth console controls. 2. Can't sort how I would like to order the podcasts. 3. Close the podcast and you lose the place that you stopped. Probably more annoyances but I would prefer to add the paid subscription to Pocket Casts or if the app was more like Pocket Casts. Too bad I may have to cancel my Coast to Coast Insider subscription.

The most annoying thing about this app? They have an auto memory, so when you stop playing, it remembers where you were. You have to every so often go in to the app under settings and clear the memory. If you don't, it plays the most recent show and then keeps skipping through the rest of them were you last signed out at!!! Not to mention it's also glitchy beyond belief... I'm almost thinking about going back to the old way of recording the show off of the radio and then replaying that way.

Really bad experience. I used to listen to this program at all the time but past three weeks it just stopped working. I did uninstalled and reinstalled four times but I just cant hear anything. It says the app has streaming issues. My wifii is great. Its waste of money. I love the show but even after spending money I cant get what I paid for then thats not good. I dont know if its the problem of the app or just happening to all ,but for me I am just very disappointed.

I'm having difficulty with this app, it won't let me listen, when I click to listen it brings me to the pay page. And when I click on the "monthly" square for $6.95 a box comes up on the bottom and say you have already paid. But it won't let me listen it just keeps doing that. My next payment isn't until next month. There is no customers service??? This is very frustrating!!! Looks like I'm goin to have to cancel, and I don't want to.

The audio stops every few minutes! I followed the directions on the website to correct this, but it didn't work. I'm thinking about cancelling my Coast Insider subscription if this continues on. ***update*** I reached out to the tech support and was asked to uninstall and then reinstall the app. I did this, but the problems continue. I sent another email and was informed I would have to wait for the next system update for this to be resolved. They don't know when that will be. So disappointed.

I have been an insider for many years. After the recent update of this app, it's not working. When I find a recent show I want to listen to, I click on hour one (for example) and the show plays for a few minutes, then stops. I have tried playing a number of recent shows with the same result. Please fix. Also, I subscribe because I can't stand all the commercials on a public radio broadcast, but am getting annoyed with all the commercials that are now playing on insider broadcasts.

I use this app to listen to C2C everyday, but the download function only seems to work intermittently. It seemed to be working smoothly for the past 3 months or so, but as of last week it will no longer download episodes. The episodes show up under the saved tab as if they have been downloaded, but when I click on them to play, nothing happens. I have resorted to streaming the episodes, but I would prefer not to, as this uses up data and includes commercials/bumper music. I am using this in a Pixel2.
