I utilize this app in the FREE form, surprisingly refreshing compared to similar apps, it's easy to use, each coin is scanned, referenced, and then presented with a wide variety of informative facts, such as it's Mint, the rarity, the Artist who created it, the compounds it's made from, the Size, approximate market value, a detailed description of it's markings, and so much more. My only gripe, the grading option isn't free and fairly expensive. At times the value is vague w/o explanation.

I like the app and find it useful, but the prices aren't kept totally up to date. A lot of the silver coins have prices that are lower than melt value. For example, half dollars it shows as $26 in the lower grades, but the current melt is $32. It seems like it would be easy enough to have these automatically update based on melt value and silver price daily.

3 stars for now. It's rough on navigating some areas. ex.: I wanted to edit the pics. @ the end of editing was the "add to collection",I tapped it (thought it would update the coin info) but it closed to the original page that also has the "add to collection" banner, i hit again because I was afraid it wouldn't save the edit if I didn't, but it added same coin twice. I tried again without hitting the "add...." the second time but it didn't save the original at all. it's an odd process.

Extremely frustrating getting errors after adding 3 or 4 coins without adding my pictures. Just clicking add to the coins listed. Have to constantly close the App and wait minutes to open it again, find the type of coins again, to add a few more before the same error and do the whole process again. The prices are not accurate like other apps that link to eBay sales. With silver and gold prices up the coin values are just an old value of spot with no real comps. Wasted a lot of time.

I was happy to pay the subscription fee and was looking forward to the help the app said it could provide. But the very first time I used it , was and still is confusing to me. I dont understand how when I scanned a coin one time it was worth $.57, then within 3 minutes scan the exact same coin, in the same lighting, and the value increase to $14 - $1538 ? So, without touching the coin, scanned it again, and it was at $5.38 - $12.00. now its back to $.57. yep.. DISAPPOINTED

So far so good, I love how it tells you the range a value from the least to the most valuable it could be at the present time. they're grading option is very accurate only occasionally they may get the year wrong or something like that be aware. Very professional very easy to use and their camera is one of the best microscopes to use out of all the apps. Immaculate photos even though I have a shaky hand. Thank you Coin Snap !

Pretty awesome coin scanning app, I like how it gives informative details on the different coins of the same year like which ones are rare, and what you want to look for to get the most out of your pocket change. I also enjoy the info it gives you about the history of the coin. The only thing that would make this app better is if it was free, still a great app for those in the numismatics hobby. I definitely recommend this app for all collectors, from those just starting, to the seasoned pros

basic app for coins. Great for keeping things organized. trying to create custom sets is a nightmare o if you don't do it immediately upon scanning a coin. constantly says "error" and then the app says there's a connection issue, making me force stop over and over to try and make it work. really wish I didn't need an internet connection, without it i can't look at the collection at all.

This is a great app for everyone. The key is, good lighting, clean lens, and focusing. I wish it could identify ancients but as of right now, it doesn't. I have been an avid collector of numismatics for 45 years. This is probably the best inventory tool you can use. The app only gets better with feedback. Each coin scanned gives you the opportunity to provide feedback.

when I first got the app it had basics but it was a start. it gave little details but more than what I knew. as time has gone by the app is more intuitive and now they are displaying a lot more information. and it actually shows prices and the values and what's the rarest or what's the nicest that you have. coin snap you guys have come a long way. kudos to you guys. keep up the good work.

It would be a fantastic app, but it seems to lose coins in my collections. The preview of a collection shows the right number, but when I open the collection it's empty or has less than the preview states. I have a free account, so maybe theres a limit? I can't find the where the app states the limits to the free account, just the benefits of a premium account.

zero stars! I canceled my subscription within the hour of signing up for the seven days trial period. then seven days later I see my card was charged for the full year subscription! I checked and recanceled again! I do not want this app! It did not work for me at all. I would like my money back and to be rest assured that this app is truly canceled. I CANCELED IT WITHIN THE HOUR OF SIGNING UP! UGH! SO WHY DID YOU CHARGE MY ACCOUNT? I went to their support for customer service and it doesn't work

The trial period came with a promise to remind me as to avoid being charged $39.99. Of course I forgot, we all do. That's what they are banking on. I want a full refund for something that grossly over values coins. I put one in and it came back as being worth 7,000. I know better. Misleading and inaccurate and only used once during the trial.

app is represented as free to use with in-app purchases. This is a lie. you have to sign up with a credit card in order to even use it as a free trial. deceptive. Follow up: is there a button that says continue without entering your credit card information? is there a button that says continue for free for 7 days? NO. Nobody would know that you can continue for free because no option is offered. I reinstalled and checked. You have to cancel and back out. DECEPTIVE!

Deceptive is the best way to describe it. Opted for 7 day free trial. Tried it out and had issues from the start. It may give you a MS rating. But doesn't give you numerical number. And it may list most errors associated with the year and denomination of that particular coin. But does not have illustrations. Nor does it tell you if your corn has any of these errors. It was not what I expected. They charged me for a year subscription before my 7 day trial was over. Google lens does as good & free

Login Issues. I know I'm new here though it shouldn't be so difficult to find my account. Thanks for the 7 day free trial, then 6/30/2024 I paid for the year. I'd like to transfer my account to a different device because the app always says that the photos are not clear enough to identify my coins. Cannot locate a link in the app for Customer Service Support either. It's getting extremely frustrating after over a month. Anyone have the same issues? Certainly need a resolution to this confusion!!

The description made it seem as though the payment would be monthly at 2.99 per month. Instead I was charged $44 all at once at the end of my free trial. Maybe I misunderstood but it felt like a dirty trick. Fortunately, they refunded me but I could have done without the stress. Also, when it is unable to identify a coin, the app instead makes wild guesses which is pretty confusing. Why is there is no feature to tell you that it just can't find it? I tested this with an arcade token.

I have been sitting on coins forever not knowing what I have. then an in gaming app ad popped up and showed an ad that looked too easy. I thought for sure it'd be another disappointment. This is the easiest, most detailed app for identifying coins and their values. it's a matter of 3-4 clicks from beginning to end (from obtaining a value to saving it to your collection). I will definitely recommend this app to anyone that wants to listen. Amazing! Thank you! 🙏

As a free app It would have some value. The scan is extremely accurate and does help to hone in on the origin country, which is useful for early Asian coins. That's about all the positive, I can say, though. Once the scan is complete, it makes suggestions about what the coin likely is. The problem is that much of the reference is incorrect. For example I scanned several Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese Cash Coins. Generally the period and denomination were correct however the references wrong.

I think it would be much more helpful if the description disclosed the fact that this app offers a 7 day free trial and then $40.00 dollars per year thereafter. I didn't bother once I found out the fee. There are other apps that are one time charges that will verify if the particular coin rings true or fake. Weekly charges are 2.99 plus tax. Monthly they incur a $5.99 plus tax and THEN yearly at $39.99 plus tax. There are options . I deleted the app right away.
