CollX: Sports Card Scanner

CollX is hands-down the best app for sports card collectors and sellers! It makes scanning, listing, and pricing cards ridiculously easy. I love how fast I can upload my collection, track values, and connect with other collectors. The community is awesome, the shipping tools are simple, and the platform keeps getting better with new updates. Whether you’re just starting out or a longtime hobbyist, CollX makes buying and selling cards fun again. Highly recommend to anyone in the hobby!

Let me start by saying this used to be a 4 star review. But I can't back this sloppy app anymore. The shipping is absolutely screwed. expect buyers to lie about delivery, sales to be returned by the post office and to be charged extra delivery for your single card purchase. The moderation is far more strict than the censor heavy YouTube and rules don't apply to friends of the mods. Mystery Packs are not allowed, unless you're cool with the dev team, then you can do whatever you want. Trash app

This app has slowly gotten worse. They are trying to be all things to all people rather than keeping it simple. Every time I try to put in cards in, the database never pulls up all the cards. It shows like 40 cards mixed with some other cards from a different set. And don't even get me started with how bad all the sort pages are in my collection! I can't search anything. Stop trying to add new features and fix everything thing else.

I'm very impressed with how easy it was to log into this app taking only eMail contact confirmation then, off to raw scanning Trading Cards. I've only scanned 100 misc. baseball cards into my Collection so far and have experienced about 5% recognition failure. Some of which were out of focus in average lighting conditions while others were hologram. It's an outstanding link to current average selling prices. Needs Collection Upgrade total value not just single card at a time. Maybe PSA 7 at free

Great app...for about a week. Got 1500 cards scanned so signed up for the $9.99 monthly subscription, then it started saying "unrecognized" for every scan. I spent 4 days asking for help and just kept getting an AI bot every day saying "we understand" and "we've escalated your issue" each time I was told to uninstall and reinstall the app...spoiler alert, it didn't change anything. Frustrating. I would keep looking around for another app to scan your collection.

collection not showing full scanned items and always lagging significantly when searching anywhere in the app. Update: 1 star drop.. dont complain too much. they'll just tell you to cancel and not fully address the issue. The time it takes to just start over..smh. issue still not resolved. dropping again, still the worst. no resolution and no fix. All I got was a kick to the curb and told to cancel my subscription if I didn't like the support. Great customer service.....TBC

I just started using the app. I love the features and my collection, but my one complaint is a big issue. My first 10 cards, it only located 4 from the scans. I had to use another app to get the details and then search in CollX to find the card for the details. Not sure why I can find it with search, but it's a huge waste of time having to look up 80% of the cards that another app doesn't have issues with. I like the collection and attributes better with CollX than the other app.

It's got a long ways to go, before it will be a fully dependable source of information for Sports Trading Cards!! If I try to scan 5 cards, it may actually recognize 2 or 3, I have to manually enter the card information for the ones that aren't recognized!! It's just a hassle, whenever eBay will show me what similar items to my listings, that have sold recently, and the selling price!! 🤔🤷

This app is trash just like ninety percent of the rest of the card scanning apps. I've tried scanning over 200 cards? And I'll ever get back. No match, no match. And if it did match, it was a completely different card with a completely different sport don't know why it's so hard with all the technology nowadays and AI technology that they can't get apps that actually work when you scan the card. Just like the rest of them? I wouldn't waste your time download in this app.

Have some major issues with this app. Shipping and tracking is super inconsistent. Reported bug issues from my phones malware protection. Also if you are looking for a card to buy you have to figure out if the person who has the card is even a current user on the app. If you havent used the app in 6 months they really shouldnt be showing your cards to anyone. Most likely never going to come back on the site if they've been gone for that long. Its the first app Ive ever used for sportscards.

Most likely, the best card collecting database app I have used. HOWEVER, the developers need to know that it is very much still buggy. NEEDS LOTS OF WORK STILL!!! . collection doesn't show up sometimes . error after creating two of my listing (cannot view the details I entered) . the locations feature for sorting your collection- if you have alot, your home/back/screens keyboard (Android)hovers over the locations list making it unable to select. . when scrolling through app, app flickers

I want to love this app, truly I do. But it's so effin' buggy on my phone that it's nearly unusable most of the time. I have issues with the scanning function, the search feature, and when I go to add cards to my collection. I frequently get error codes preventing me from doing the most basic tasks within the app. Furthermore, I've found the pricing to be very inaccurate most of the time. Has potential, but feels like a beta version.

The app can find a good percentage of cards via scanning, although it can have some difficulty differentiating between variations (as to be expected). The problem with the app is that it can lag very far behind on pricing - some cards are priced out from a year or two ago. Overall, I'd say this is a good cataloging tool to have for card collectors. If it could track eBay and other card markets better, this would be an easy 5* app.

Can't really give 3 and a half, but I do like the app. Overall it is a decent interface, even if it does have a few bugs. Hoping to see some improved communication features (Wishlists, small tweaks to the buying interface, etc) but like where it is going. Update: Couple years later, I am continuing to like the progress they are making. The app is my primary storefront for buying and selling cards.

Great potential, Falls short My review may be ammended if the issues are addressed in the near future. Downloaded this app a few days ago, everything was working fine until today. Not sure if they pushed an update, but keeps crashing and wont uploads 4 cards. Now, I have 200 cards stuck in limbo and cant remove the 4 errored cards. Additionally, the app really needs an option to select multiple cards at once and move them into different folders.

Has one of the best interfaces for scanning and identifying. For me about 1/5 I'll need to look up, which is still better than all the comics and coins apps. My issues have been sales. 90% of cards aren't worth paying for a tracking number, so if you send regular mail the buyer can just cancel. So your card is out and there's no way to get it back.

This was exactly the type of app I've always looked for. So much better than anything else I've seen. But they still have a long way to making a solid app. Card values don't always seem realistic. And collection values don't add up. Filtering by value isn't consistent. And card search doesn't always work. Couldn't sign up for a year subscription. Only monthly. Also no one responds to support emails. That being said, allows you to take photos of your cards, and groups them properly.

When this app works, it's great. Lately though, not working has been my experience substantially more than working. Sorts don't work - complete fail. Sometimes you can't even see what you scanned earlier today because it doesn't work. You get an error message and a try again button. I've reached out via chat and sent two videos of the issues. No response. When you can't see inventory in an inventory management system, the app is useless.

Really like the concept, and it's fun scanning in all of your cards.... BUT some times and days the delays and the time that it takes between scans can take forever, it's so annoying, some days it works great. And some days not. Worst part is that when you get on a roll, then it bogs down, and you have to sit there and wait for the circle of death. I want to delete the app and be done.. then I dont because, it still is pretty cool.

My experience has been great up until now. Updated the app as normal, and now all my scans I capture with my phone every single one of them ends up being cropped with no way to fix it. Also, if you could possibly think about implementing a multiple select when deleting rather than one at a time, that would be a huge savings on time. Anyways, minus those issues, great app, great community for a sellers market, and collecting
