Not intuitive, but, once you figure it out, it's interesting. You will need to use the flashlight for indoor items. It says that it needs to calibrate using a white surface, but, no matter which such I use, including white vinyl siding in total sunlight, it always says that the object is "too dark"! I like that it saves the colors, but, aim at the same thing twice and you'll get variations. Still, this is close to what I needed, so, beggars can't be (color!) choosers.

I work in graphic design and have used 100's of apps and programs. I rarely do any ratings and/reviews. I feel the need to preface this with above information, to provide context. To demonstrate I have a familiarity with these applications. 'Color Grab'.... In terms of its intended purpose to find, match, etc. colors, is unbeatable! Accuracy, speed, other extras ..... the best. Superlative. I don't know anyone in the company. I have no relation, or obligation......... You get it right?

This is an impressive app! It gives an extremely detailed analysis of the accurate color(s) of whatever item you are scanning for color matching. This is going to make painting, decorating and color coordination easier and more precise than ever. I am actually excited to go get paint that's going to match even the oddest and rarest colors I can come up with.

Love this app. When it comes to finding just the right color for that painting project. Saves a ton of time running back to the paint store to pick up more color chips. It is also helpful for cross-referencing paint color from one paint brand to another. The only thing it doesn't do is allow you to paint colors onto a photo like the Color Smart app does, but in every other way, this is the only color selection app you'll ever need.

Best color tool available, as it's similar to very expensive, specifically made color calibrating & color capture tools. It has great adjustments for color constancy issues where U can adjust the color being sampled by adding light or dark to it which is similar to seeing colors under different light. One negative, it's Munsell color space, but other than that it's an awesome app. Artist need access to such good tools while being affordable as money is usually limited to artist starting out.

I personally love this app and was more than willing to pay for the ad-free version to support the creator. However, I have had an issue trying to upload a picture to the app. I have attempted on a few occasions and the app simply informs me that "picture upload has failed." Just thought I'd bring it to the developers attention so it can be corrected. I'll still be using this app regularly for art and design!

Nice app. You can create palettes easily from photos. I like the instant conversions of color spaces, and the correlations to commercial paint brands. One quibble, the saved palettes don't open directly in the GIMP. However, when saved in a more portable format (png, jpg) they are still convertible, it just takes one extra step. One additional set of correlations would be standard artist pigment designations.

Very promising, but needs better UX. PALETTES. Want to be able to hold my key color constant and easily scroll thru designs without drop down. Want to customize # of colors in group. Want to save palettes as group. Want to customize group such as <> true, muted, grayed, brighter, yellowed, etc. Some of those are available but in tech lingo. GLOSSARY. Want to click on all terms and features for defns.. Still can't figure out the icons in the lighting section. CAPTURE. Colors seem really off.

I've been thinking about getting into product design recently and wanted a cheap and easy way to create digital colour swatches to use on moodboards, product samples, etc. Totally worth downloading this app!! I've had no end of fun going round my room picking up colours and saving them to the app! The fact that it's just part of my phone means I can easily pick up colours from everywhere, everyday! I'm really glad this app exists, otherwise I was looking at a £100+ digital pen :(

A very well thought out app, especially given the limitations of uncontrolled lighting and no control over colour management in a phone. I'm a pro photographer who uses a very expensive colorimeter on a profiled PC and screen, and really expected this to be a joke... it isn't! It's good enough to give a starting point for colour matching, and the editing and comparison tools, choice of colour models, and references to paint ranges, BS and RAL standard colours make it well worth buying.

Superb app. I can't distinguish the color properly with their names. But this app give each and every name of the color when we hold the camera. Another thing is that it captures the color live and no need to click the picture for color identification. Directly predicts the color. Also we can import the images in our storage. Live color detection impressed me the most..!

This app honestly seems to go far beyond what others have done. It's surprising they've managed to pair all of that information with a very simple user interface so well! Only suggestion would be to group the picked colours together somehow, as I find it difficult to remember which project I picked which for. Also, perhaps it's worth redesigning some of the icons to read more clearly - not sure how a pinwheel represents mixing and how that has a different meaning from the palette icon.

Working as a designer, I need to snap colors quite alot, and it's much faster than taking photos and figuring RGB in Photoshop. Saving, mixing and stuff is really well made, color schemes are there, and they are useful too, absolutely deserves 5 stars. Edit: So much time later and it's still my go-to tool for colors.

I like it very much, tho I haven't tested the colors yet on how do they look the original one after printed. I understand that the lighting condition and camera quality etc is having a big impact on how this works. Anyways, it would be really nice to see the cmyk-colors in the list, just like I can see them in the camera view. Now they can be seen only from the menu.

A great tool overall to interact with colours in a variety of ways for a variety of fields; interior design, print, graphic design, web dev, traditional art, etc. Lets you grab colours IRL (based on your camera's view) or view and convert between a set of colour code syntaxes, well-thought out and all without a strict paywall! A must have and worth supporting if development is still active ✨ The colour page navbar & UX could use some improvement (clarity & consistency)

Awesome app, has very many great features. Although u can rename colors via long-press context menu, it would be nice if colors had more info about them such as date, name of image that the color was obtained from, etc. And if colors could be grouped by date, etc.

The best color calibration I've found around. Using a phone camera is always a bad idea, since it's by definition uncalibrated and the software does a lot of unwanted, unpredictable correction which is impossible to turn off without access to raw data and a camera profile. This app has a nifty white calibration which neutralizes most of this and, for a ballpark color finding, it is more than enough.

It's interesting, but some settings like "color list item" and "reference catalogue" seem to have no effect. I'd like to control the names of colors that get detected, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do that. "Zumthor" means nothing to me. Last, the addition of Pantone would be nice, but I suspect there's a licensing fee issue. Also, there doesn't seem to be a way to control which of my cameras it uses (wide, closeup) or which processing happens before the image reaches the app.

Wow! Really neat app! I was looking for something to help be describe a specific color of an item, & this helped -- & quick! Next thing I know, hubby & I are scanning our skintones, the dogs, random objects in the house... it's actually really fun, beyond its more...uh... useful & practical applications! 🤣 I love that you can share & it'll put together a card of the color with all the info. I haven't even explored all the other features yet - but I can't wait! Having a blast - thanks!! 😊🌈

Was needing an app that could give me examples of the Famous Annie Sloan chalk paint in the less expensive latex paints. I would screen shot a photo of the Annie Sloan color of choice and the app would give me the numbers I needed in order to purchase the same color but in a latex instead of chalk like finish. Thumbs up to the creator of this app. Hope it's as helpful to others as it's been for me. God Bless
