Doesn't work with Projectivy channels or recents, but Plex does and HBO does and YouTube does and Disney does and Streamio does. Regarding the Amazon experience. You're only given three seconds to decide whether or not you want to watch the end credits. Before you're thrown into the next thing. Not enough time to like or dislike what you just watched. And there's no option to disable or change the time it takes before auto playing the next selection. The layout is cluttered, Amazon's tab is full of other stuff that's not even Amazon.

Video playback is decent, but none of the controls work. Can't pause, fast forward, rewind, etc. The only way to stop playback is to click the home button and exit the app entirely, which of course loses the playback location. So, when you re-open the app, the video you were just watching starts back from the very beginning. Very disappointing. Every other Android TV app works just fine - Netflix, Hulu, etc.

It was working fine up until this week on my Chromecast with Google TV. For whatever reason, it now doesn't want to load videos unless I reboot the device first, and then it only works until I exit and open another app on the device. Once another app is opened, a reboot of the device is needed again to get it to work. And, it seems to take forever to actually load the video before it starts, when it does work. Not sure what changed, but it's not good.

I can kinda look past it's horrible interface and it's buggyness, what I can't get past is the fact that it always streams in 720p with a very low bitrate on my 4k tv(!) and 1gbps internet connection. I've resorted to just using the chromecast in the android app, because even with more hoops to jump through, at least I don't have to use this horrible, horrible app anymore. You're amazon, you have more money than multiple countries combined, make a decent app.

Same problem as Jeff Hackman. The new version is unable to start streaming. I spend hours with Sony support, doing factory reset with no avail. I have attempted both wired and Wifi and this version will not run. However, when I connect via Wifi to Hotspot setup from my iPhone, streaming will work. I have also tapped into my neighbor's WIFI (AT&T) and it works fine. This tells me that the application probably does some network check and fails. However, any sensible software would print an error code to debug further. This application simply says "Something went wrong" with no other error code.

Today they updated the app. I checked several feedbacks and several customers mentioned the issue that several movies that several movies that we are supposed to watch in 4k UHD (HDR) are shown in plain HD. I thought that was a technical issue with my Sony Bravia 4k TV but that was not the case because a lot of people experience the same issue. Amazon technicians, please, do something!!! Too long waiting for a change!!!

I have had this app for many years now and recently with the new updates and Amazon greed changes, charging yearly subscription, then adding adds, price increases for other streaming, movies, programs. Greed for Amazon owners and no more customer service to get help! We keep membership for shipping and business. You have terrible service and unable to uninstall the app to reinstall it as it only allows updates and will not remove it! I am getting a tmporary issue connection error for two weeks now and Error code 0.7 but no help for that code!

I definitely use this streaming app less than my others. If I'm already paying for streaming, I don't want to watch ads. I'd rather watch Netflix or Hulu rather than be asked to pay extra to avoid the ads. I don't care about the other benefits that come with my prime membership, I'm not paying more to line the pockets of the ultra rich so they can get richer. And to make things worse, even after I've watched the ads, if my phone screen times out the ads come back. F' that.

As MANY others have reported here, this app just refuses to work on Android TV. I have a brand new Sony TV that runs on Android TV, and the Prime Video app opens (very slowly, by the way), and lets you browse the menus, but it doesn't play any content, and then gives you a random error message, non-descriptive, and useless, that changes every time. The only way to make it work is to uninstall all updates and use the old version that came with the TV. And then the app gets updated and fails again. Awful, completely useless app! Every other streaming app works fine on Android TV (Netflix, Hulu, AMC, Peacock, etc.), so the problem is only with Prime Video.

Some videos no longer play. They start loading and the screen goes black with an unhelpful message "Something went wrong" and a link to videohelp. There are more than 3400 results for this message. Live channels play fine. Amazon Originals and the resume feature do not work. The only content I am interested in is now essentially shut off

Now there are rentals among the search results... I don't want to pay extra extra for stuff, just show me my subscription stuff. Ads after every episode. "Recently added" is a joke. If a movie has been available for more than a month, let alone 6-12 months, it is not "recently added". The overview of content is still really bad. Please include filter options (especially permanent filter away rentals and sports). Upside is Fallout, Critical Role animated, and Twisted Metal... more of that please.

SOMETHING WENT WRONG! 90% of content won't play, and nothing they recommend fixes that! - edit: I fixed it. Using Bluetooth audio causes issues for this piece of junk. Go to Bluetooth settings and under your audio device turn off Spatial Sound. Voila, everything works

I run into the issue that when I click a movie to watch or a show it automatically makes it extremely dark and makes it unwatchable I keep checking the forms this has been an issue with Amazon Prime since 2022 and there is still no fix therefore this app deserves one star

The autoplay next episode can't be disabled, very annoying when there is an end credits scene or I'm enjoying the closing credits music. No original language preference for people who hate dubs and want to experience the actors performance. Instead it changes the language preference for every show, so you have to constantly change it back and forth when switching shows. Then it goes and recommends dubs in that language. Promoting dubs harms peoples global perspective, underdstanding & empathy for other cultures. I does not encourage learning. Overlay controls obscures hard coded subtitles when I pause to read them. CC subs always block hard coded subs. What good does telling

they prioritise money, they upped their ads to 3minutes worth of ads per 10mins of watch time. I only have it to stream invincible for its yearly season. Has some other good shows I do recommend it.

ever since update, episodes will not auto play. I performed all of suggested fixes multi times. fixes it for a couple episodes then reverts to 'watch again' to view same episode. Maddening.

HDR when watching live sports is entirely too dark. there used to be an option to turn off HDR but with the latest update, that option was removed. please re-add the option to allow us to turn off HDR in the prime video app.

Keeps crashing on the subscription services, tnt, paramount etc, contacting Amazon pointless as they blame everyone else but they're happy to keep taking the money. My advice, don't subscribe via Amazon go to the source much better service.

Good Content. Great Original Content. Poor App navigation and controls. I keep forgetting not to use pause. it tends to put garbage on the screen, needing an app exit and reenter.

does nothing but freeze after 30 minutes of viewing and I cannot do anything with it no problems with any other streaming network like Netflix and I'm paying for add free it's rubbish
