They BMI calculator is a good tool, I believe to keep track of weight loss and of course gains. I like to use visualization when I'm dieting . it keep me on the right track. The BMI let's me see where I am at on my fitness journey. It allows me visually see on paper my progress and at times my digress. I hope that I used that word right. Bottom line I weight 299 pounds 7 weeks ago and now I weigh 271 pounds
This is a good app but the customer support could use some improvement. I recently reinstalled this app after having paid for it but am still getting the ads. My email to them has gone unanswered, leaving me stuck with the ads I paid to get rid of.
bmi apps aren't accurate, it'll depend on medical history, and muscle/breasts you have. only your doctors can give you an accurate bmi as this app doesn't know your medical history. it may say you're overweight while your the average weight and you dont look it, but your chest or muscles make it seem you are.
It won't let you to continue with Imperial measurements. It won't continue to the next pages of the app.
There so many apps of bmi and this stands out for being free. Those who prioritise health as a way of happy living should know ideal weight and waist length too and this app helps in achieving the desired goal.
This app is simply innacurate, it creates unnecesarry, untrue insecurities and does not take into account many factors which would influence the results, saying people are overweight, underweight or 'normal' without measurements, lifestyle, and many other things just leads to people believing untrue numbers and can lead to eating disorders
it's a good app overall.I like the details. The adult weight and height calculations are fine and correct enough, but the minor ones are not because how is a 15 year old overweight by having 68 kilograms with 170 centimetres? It depends on their activity, build and maybe even genes..so I suggest adding more opinions, maybe "how much water do you drink daily", "how active are you","what's your build? skinny, fat, muscular, etc?",so I suggest fixing this before anyone takes the calculation too seriously!
This app does exactly what it suppose to do. Giving you the BMI without manually having to do a complicated spreadsheet for the 2 ways of calculating it. It will not tell you anything else about you. You can still have fat belly and be normal weight. BMI will not tell you anything about your eating habit. BMI has nothing to do with calories. No ads, so 5 stars.
The BMI scale for underweight/overweight is very innacurate, it also calculates BMI horribly wrong. When I select the age of 9 my BMI is almost in the overweight section when it's labled 19-21 and it should logically put the arrow into the underweight section for me. Older ages are slightly more accurate but still wrong. The BMI doesn't change between male and female either. The interface is nice and clean I suppose and there's no intrusive ads, that's about the only good thing about it :/
The app does what it is supposed to do, moreover without ads and trying to induce to in-app purchases, contrary to other similar apps with, surprisingly, higher rating. Reading the reviews one learns an interesting fact: how willingly people show their ignorance by blaming the app when their BMI is not within the green area, i.e. the one considered 'normal' for a majority of people. Some of the reviews show they come from very young users, their ignorance maybe forgiven. Other seem from adults that should know better, but obviously don't. A possible recommendation to the developer: to add a text visible in the open app recommending to consult with one's doctor in case the calculated value is outside the expected norm.
it's simply inaccurate... I just had medical charts done and I'm slightly overweight by like ~8 pounds (trying to lose weight right now) this app said I was obese lol, not offended but you probably shouldn't advertise as a BMI calculator if it's incorrect.
Why doesn't it include the new bmi index? This runs on the old Index only. There is a flaw in the old standard BMI formula and experts came up with a new calculation which presents a more realistic result as it scales more accurately in relation to a person’s height. This should at least be able to calculate in the two standards...
Excellent app. help to focuse on my weight.
Very Simple. easy to use.
It's a good app, just very critical, I'd say. It said I was overweight for a 5'6, 13 year old that weighs 63 kg, okay, don't get me wrong, yes it was my fault for downloading this application, but I didn't think correctly and downloaded it. Do not download this application if you have an eating disorder or are very insecure about your weight. You are perfect the way you are.
It's not accurate. The inaccuracy isn't HUGE but I'm currently 57.7kg and 167cm and it says my BMI is 21.7 when it is actually 20.7. I'd say using any website online is more accurate than this app but my calorie calculator tells me my BMI the most accurately. I think if someone was underweight (BMI 17.5-18) this calculator would say they are at a healthy weight ):
I downloaded this BMI calculator app with the intention of monitoring my health, but unfortunately, it had a profoundly negative impact on my well-being. Despite being within a healthy weight range, the app's results made me feel insecure and led to unhealthy eating behaviors. BMI is a simplistic measure that doesn't consider factors like muscle mass or overall body composition, yet the app presented its results as definitive health indicators.
yeah it does what it is supposed to do. calculate a simple equation and lookup some stuff in a table, which is provided by some known instance. NOT asking for any permission nor displaying any ads. thank you for this shortcut to avoid using a calculator.
it's a good and accurate app but pretty useless. once you know your BMI there's no use for the app anymore, it should have more functions like calculate how many calories one burns daily or how much one needs to take in etc...
Does its job! All the people crying about being put in the overweight/obese category are in denial or mixed up the units of kg and lbs. It kinda makes me giggle reading some of these reviews, thinking that being 189lbs at like 5"3 won't put you in the obese category... This app is great, and pays attention to age! For example, I am 15 so the healthy range for me is 17.7 - 23.1. Younger people can usually get away with lower weights because our bodies aren't as developed.
