I've finally had enough. After 4 or 5 years using this, I'm done. Try to share a file and the user with the link needs a Box login. You try to download files to your device and the app locks up. "Offline" files disappear when you don't have a data connection (what's the point?). Just connect to Box through a browser for less trouble.

Box has been a very handy and useful service for me. I have been using it for several years now, and it has always worked very well. I can upload from my phone or my PC, and download to either. It's easy to create folders and organize content, as well as to invite viewers or fellow editors. I can recommend Box to everyone (and have), with no reservations. Well done Box!

Don't bother trying to type notes into this version anymore. The text editor is now completely borked. It keeps moving your position in the document around so you end up typing in random places, adds extra empty lines on the bottom of your document, etc. You can only ever type for a couple seconds now before it does something else. If you don't have a fully prepared document you have no intention of editing you just might be fine. It wasn't a problem before, but now it's relentless.

It's unfortunate this app is mandatory for my work. Dropbox works so much better. Google Drive is better. I can't even make a new folder. This bug has been going on for a long time and restarting the phone or app does not fix. Just one of many issues: media playback is terrible, downloads are tricky to navigate once downloaded, there aren't nearly enough organizational options.

The app does what it says and Is great for storage, however, the app is prone to a specific glitch where it will calculate file sizes wrong and will say that you're over the allotted limit when you indeed are not. Perhaps it is because I use the free account, but customer service is non-existent for customers who simply want to store pictures and videos for personal use. App has a lot of potential to be the best on the market, but has some things to fix first.

It does what it says it will. The problem i have is not huge but annoying. It's supposed to help organize files and folders yet doesn't have a duplicates function and if a picture (for example) is renamed, compressed or the date of last modification is changed, then it may be uploaded again no problem. The other issue is when anything with a transparent background is uploaded to Box there's no way to tell it apart from a white background; even if the image is opened it's still just white.

I'm in a music group that shares rehearsal recordings, agendas, etc. The desktop version is great but navigating thru folders within the app is horribly difficult. After using it off & on for about a year (since I joined the group), I've deleted and am just using a home screen link to the website. I've found that way more intuitive and functional.

I actually really love Box, and I will update my rating if I can get an answer to this issue. I'm trying to download a video onto my phone from Box and I thought it finally uploaded but when I press the transfer button the app crashes and closes. Every. Time. Why is this happening? I cleared cache, even forced stopped it. But it keeps crashing.

Box itself is great. But if I'm rating based on just the app functionalities I give it a one star. Oftentimes when I play an audio then leave the app, the audio eventually stops and says "Please check your internet connection" (even though my connection is great, thank you). So I have to go back to the app and hit play in order for it to work again which is very frustrating. This didn't happen in the past, not sure why it does now.

USING TIP: Box gets stuck on uploading overload at around 4 or 5 items.. Not at once, in a row. To help this, at first lag of more than 20 or 30 seconds stop that upload (the tiny x in active loading), stop Box, and wait a few minutes. When you go back Box will quickly load again. Don't even try to upload several pix at once. It's a good enough app.. a little hard to get used to.. thus the 4 stars, but this is for an older version, since I've found in general I am Never happy I updated Any app.

Switched from Dropbox to box. Overall has all the features I need and no talking to support when I need more space and then being told no with my "unlimited" plan so very happy so far. I wish the Android app let me access files as if they were on the phones hd like the PC app does, but maybe that's impossible or possible with other means haven't figured it out yet but that's the only problem I encountered. The file size limit is also a bit of a drag.

I go from house to house fixing people's furnaces and fireplaces. I use BOX to help keep notes, such as flash codes, part numbers and other relevant information specific to my work. So far it has been great. I can sign in on more than one device, and if my phone bites the dust, I can look it up on my tablet. I just hope they don't come up with an update that complicates it to where it's unusable, like you hear about all the time in reviews.

unfortunately I have been using this app for more than 4 years as a pro subscription is provided by my institution. not reliable AT ALL, particularly in terms of uploads and downloads. it is beyond my comprehension that in 2026 a file sharing app struggles so much with uploading and downloading simple, less-than-30-MB files! bravos!

The worst cloud storage... archaic 250MB file limit, random ordering of files (can't you people just go with alphabetic), doesn't work well with MS Office android apps (making the Android App useless), and transfers are tediously slow. I can only assume the five star reviews here are paid for... clearly none of them have actually used this app.

Bad at uploading and syncing. Out of order files and gets hung up and won't sync unless on upload status page. Busted. Slow. still gets locked up. trying to transfer photos between folders. terrible syncing. been multiple updates with no fixes, has actually gotten worse.

this app sucks now. it doesn't recognize my sign in. I decided to redownload it and create a new account. in the old account which I can't get in I had 50 gigabytes of space now I only get 10. every email address I put in it says it's not valid. I think there's something wrong with the app

LOVE BOX, but sure do wish the pro accounts could have the FILE REQUEST feature in your APP. having the file request feature is one of the best parts of the account, yet not having it for the app is one of the worst parts of the app. really messes us up if we're on the road & need to conduct time sensitive business. and if i upload songs i made, they used to play in order. the app plays a random order which really screws me up as i'm trying to review certain ones back to back.

It is not user friendly. You can't not even upload a photo into the note using your phone.
