edited: my last review was 7/2015. I've played this game for a long time. I lost my game and had to start new, but I'm surprised how different it is. this is still cost way too much, and things take to long build, but it's rather enjoyable now. thPugh spending 80LP on a 3star dog wad a waste of lp. had other for days and it's found no more than. 50 simple simoleans at a time
this game is fun to play and it's nice that you can create your sim, but I kinda wish there was a color wheel (like the one that exists in the sims 3 no color wheel to really pick what color is what (i.e hair color, eye color, ect). also, there needs to be an inexpensive way to skip discovery quests if you're not able to do them, or if you don't want to.
It's fun... But some of the live challenges are nearly impossible to complete unless you are absolutely glued to the game on your phone, OR if you want to spend money on LPs and SPs. I just picked my game back up after 5 years of not playing it. Not sure how long I'll continue, guess we'll see! Also, I cannot figure out how to add friends.
This game is good for casual and strategic play. Tons of items, it has monthly events, & yet there's a great discrepancy between the cost of items. It used to be that 3 star items would be the most expensive but now even 1 star items are easily a million simoleons or have a high pay wall in other currency. This issue has been present for several years; it would be nice to increase the sim income or revamp the pricing to a reasonable rate.
I really like the game, I've played on and off for awhile. The discovery quest take freaking forever! like I am stuck on a level because of this quest, it's only 31% complete and never ending. right now it wants sims to watch 6 episodes of a show and the episodes are long, after spending hours watching this show I bet I only go to 33%!!! it's frustrating. and some i don't even care to have one way or another. very aggravated with this.
Sux! And I say that respectfully. The 2026 update was "mandatory". couldn't postpone it. It got to 100% on downloading and installing. Only to cause an error. I uninstalled it and installed it back. still caused an error. I wouldn't be too upset if I wasn't on a timed event. I am quite sure all my progress is gone. I used to rate it 5 🌟 but seems like with every update the game gets worse. Do you actually try the game out before releasing it to the public??
It's great game but they should give higher rewards for life points and shorter progress times for tasks. The times for tasks go out faster than you think when you take a few hours off from playing and when you jump back on, it will say " sorry, you missed the event" then it makes you have to start a whole new event! Additionally they need way more styles for appearance and just more access all the way around. I would give 5 stars but it could use some improvements
I enjoy playing this game but the amount of events that will pop up and start automatically are absolutely insane. Unless you can sit at your phone at all hours during the day and night there's no way to win, or without spending real money. they've made the events into too much and you can't really enjoy the actual gameplay unless you spend money and I'm very disappointed in that. so again, unless you can devote a ridiculous amount of time to the game, don't bother.
All of a sudden, I can't visit the day spa or visit my Sims working there without the game crashing. The game doesn't crash for anything else, just the day spa. I've cleared data, cache, closed the game out, restart my phone, and even un-installed and reinstalled it. I'm up to date with the app, the EA forum is garbage and I emailed EA a week ago, still no response. Because of the day spa issues, I've lost progress on the daily tasks because of it too.
You spend 4x or more real cash on this game compared to buying all the DLC for sims 4, and you get less decor and sim appearance stuff in this. The cost value of this game is a rip off. When you buy decor with real money you only get a few, then have to pay more to use more of them. All rewards in game that give currency do not give you an amount fair to time you spent. There are many limited time events to earn rewards, but you can't complete them in time unless you use lots of real money.
WARNING!!!*** I LOVE this game, have always and forever loved the Sims, and the mobile version is just awesome. the only issue I've had so far (pretty big one I guess you could say) is an issue with purchasing packs. almost every sirmoleons pack I've purchased required communication with customer support and showing of proof of purchase and a full restart to receive. if you plan on purchasing in order to complete a timed mission/quest, be careful. EA won't get you your rewards in time!
I really want the construction resources, but sometimes I have to sacrifice more than I end up getting in return. I don't want to sacrifice my other resources if I'm hardly getting anything back. at the very least, you can give us one of each when we complete a landgraab request. hey, even better... give us options! Give us two or more different requests; that would make things more than fair. Anything but this...
I enjoy it a lot. It has a lot of options for decorating and things to do. Docking a star because the optional ads for rewards are horrible. I just watched the same 30 second ad FOUR times in a row (it counted as one ad) before getting a paltry 400 simeoleons. The optional ads are a huge waste of time, don't bother with them. Everything else is pretty good.
The gameplay is great, but the reliance on real money for Lifestyle Points (LP) and Social Points (SP) feels like a rip-off. There need to be more opportunities to earn these through actual gameplay. It is especially hard during special events and quests because you run out of points so fast without even realizing it. This makes it very punishing for returning players who have been away for a while and find themselves stuck behind a paywall. Please add more free ways to progress!
Loved this game a lot until literally they added the garden thing. You need to wait a WHOLE hour basically to try and wait for the one item you actually need for in order to make a building, which takes even longer, for quests and stuff, you already don't have a lot of time to finish it in time to win the prize or whatever, you miss it basically is my point. I hardly stay on this game anymore because I keep missing everything due from waiting for my plants to fully grow.
Worst update, and your greed just cost you a lot of long-time customers and players. The capsules replacing the simoleon sprout was a terrible idea without the option to buy them with in-game currency. Attempting to force us to spend even more real money than we already do, seriously? I bought your item packs fairly regularly, but I won't spend money on points, or anything now. Looks like I'll finally be calling it quits on this game after 15 years. You people have become too greedy.
The new updated game sucks. Feels like a chore and no longer fun. Unless you have no personal life and no job it's impossible to finish tasks on time and too many things take over a day for one task. Gaining LP and XP is near impossible now. Hopefully they go back to what it was before because I have a feeling they are going to lose a ton of players from this update.
"freeplay" lol more like forcedplay. this is the most gated Sims game I've played. there's no freedom at all... it's constantly pushing you in the direction it wants. I'm forced to play multiple characters. I'm forced to build a town. I'm forced to work where it wants. I'm forced to build things. I'm forced to upgrade things. oh... you mean it's free to play? about that...really long wait times and adding limitations to encourage spending money
I previously had the Sims Mobile downloaded, but it was shut down and I was encouraged to download this version. Everything takes forever to complete unless you're spending money and you have to constantly play in order to make an progress. I preferred the old version where I didn't have to play 24/7 in order to make any progress.
I love the sims. I've owned every game that's ever been made. They're all well made. I have a huge problem with a few things. Why are there quests that take 24 hours with time limits on receiving a prize for completion? Why can't i bulk sell the furniture when i tear down a house? Also, what's with the build angle? I can't see. Do better. Look at forums. We deserve better. Everyone wants better and are just coping with the mechanics of this one for the sake of playing.
