NBC Sports

Very possibly one of the worst streaming apps out there. I use this primarily to watch premier league. In order for a game to start playing I will typically have to open and close the game (watching a commercial each time) no less than 3 times. You watch a commercial, it's frozen (but with audio). Goes to half time, it's frozen on the 'we will return shortly' 100% of the time. So again, you close and reopen the app 3 or 4 times watching the same commercials again with the video freezing. You might as well wait for half time to be over however, cause guess what.... It's going to happen again when they try and change feeds back to the game. The incompetence of this app for its entire history is astounding. So glad that they will be killing it off at the end of the year, because it deserves nothing better. Unfortunately they are replacing it with Peacock, so.... Good luck. NBC retains PL rights through 2022 and I'm counting down the days until I can delete all of their apps and services, surely they won't retain rights after deleting their sports specific 'streaming' app and NBC can go back to trying to trick people into paying monthly fees to watch their last great series they were able to put together The Office and Parks and Rec along with Harry Potter movies.

app was terrible, now complete garbage. I have 3 Sony smart tvs with Directv. One in bedroom cannot use Directv app. I have t I use NBC sports app. it will not show nfl game, im stuck in a load local live circle. its so frustrating, it will not show football, click on load local live shows me everything on, but anything I click on, load local live. Thanks u did it, u made a garbage app unusable. Great job NBC

The app states that it's not connected to the internet no matter what I do. All the other apps work fine. It's connected to the internet, this NBC sports app is simply worthless.

Works maybe 10% of the time is always stuck on the loading screen and not a refreshes the actual games and events that are occurring right now quite possibly one of the most useless apps to be put out there. the sheer audacity the NBC thinks that they should split peacock and NBC Sports is also infuriating how dare you think that I should switch between the apps for the exact same content

wanna watch the end of the game....make sure there is more than a minute left while you watch a chevy ad....want to switch games...make sure you have time to watch a chevy ad....wanna watch an ad....ur in luck, they are the only thing that plays consistently a lot of the crashing issues are due to ads and you are forced to watch them even with gold.....sports second....ads first

App sucks! Have to repeatedly relink the TV provider. Should be once and done! Apparently, the developers aren't smart enough to maintain tv provider info in the app through updates and periods of langer than a week. Fox Sports developers are clearly smarter as this doesn't happen with the Fox Sports app. NBC probably emphasizes DEI in hiring!

Won't play any videos (other than highlights) on the new Chromecast with Google TV device. Every attempt (live and replay) results in a "Unable to play this asset" error. No troubleshooting helps. All other apps play videos just fine. I have already contacted support but do not anticipate any help.

app creates 2 activation codes when trying to link provider, and neither work.

This app is horrible! Constantly asking me to reauthenticate or tells me that my provider credentials do not allow me to watch an event. I reached out to the app help section and they blamed my provider or they tell me to restart the app. NBC does not care about this app because clearly they don't want to fix it and instead want you to sign up for peacock

As I write this in 2023, the splash screen for the version running on my Chromecast 4K still says Tokyo 2020...that should be telling enough. I was at least able to watch my Warriors games for a year or two, but now it won't play anything unless I "upgrade my app", even though there's nothing for me to upgrade to.

terrible app. probably the worst streaming app I've used. pretty much every single time I turn on the app I have to uninstall it and reinstall it to get it to work again, even if I just leave the app for a few minutes during an intermission

I downloaded this app so I can watch my local football games. About halfway through the first game the game cuts off and directs me to a paid site. All I will say is, it's no wonder 80% of America hates NBC

Personal Info & Money Harvester. I wanted to view Olympic (the once amateur global sports competition) highlights, but this app only allows 5 min viewing a week unless I surrender all my personal information and money. No thank you. Even the FAQ requires all to get any info. Bogus! Greed has consumed the world and will continue to do so until everything is lost. Humanity had a great run.

I think many of these reviews are not for the AndroidTV version of the app. In my experience virtually none of the negative comments in the other reviews apply to the Nvidia Shield. A season pass for only the sports you care about is a cord cutters dream.

App won't load on the new Google Chromecast that was just released Oct 1. Throws an error: error_common_generic as soon as it is launched.

1) App permanently in landscape mode which blocks like a third of the screen with the menu and is terrible choice. 2) Click on play a stream or a replay and all controls vanish. No play/pause button, no forward/reverse buttons, nothing. What kind if half-baked attempt by an apathetic intern is this app?

Garbage app. Just like the "NBC" app. error when trying to load on multiple devices. Can't cast from phone. NFL - you (and everyone else) should drop NBC. Junk.

So far so good. Been exploring the app. was able to log in and use the features so far. Very happy to see it on Android TV. Hoping this means other NBC universal channel apps will come to Android TV as well.
