every negative head that I've read below I second! to add to the list below: there's nothing that indicates new messages. in addition to that ,the old app had the new messages listed separately at the top of the opening page. when messages are highlighted for deletion you can barely see the shading on the message to be deleted. there's so much more but this is really really terrible. you may have meant well but in my opinion you've made things much worse.

Not sure if this is the same Messenger app that I had on my phone before purchasing the new one, but this app is horrible. It's riddled with ads making it almost useless, has an unnecessary chat icon at the bottom of the screen, missing emojis and when I send more than one picture, only one goes through. I have to send pictures one at a time. This app needs a lot of improvement!

Used with Android phone. Tried a group message several tines, and it made them all single messages. Would give message I hadn't read a message, and when I clicked on it, it took me to the app to download. When I switched back, I found 27 messages from group messages to download it hadn't bothered to deliver. Some were already expired. Not a good experience.

As others have commented, the number of ads in the free version are so annoying as to make the thing a chore to use. So I upgraded to the paid version. The ads disappeared. But now I constantly (like every morning) get a notification in my notification bar and a notification dot on my home screen telling me that I have a message. But when I click on it, it just opens the app and there is nothing there. So I don't know whether I am missing messages or the app has an annoying glitch.

Just got new phone and it had Google message which I don't like ,so installed Samsung messaging on this phone because I use it on another phone. the new install is terrible,I open the app and it's full of ads,,why is there adds on a texting app also the add is at the bottom of screen so when you try to back out of app ,the back button is at the bottom, but it opens the ad instead of backing out....TOTALLY AGGRAVATING!!!!!!!!

This is not the old default Samsung message app I thought it was...something I think I remember hearing was being phased out. The free version of this particular app is horrible just trying to set up. It keeps trying to trick me into installing TikTok via shady pop-up ads. Definitely not an app I'm interested in using. Uninstalled immediately.

ALWAYS opens on the get started screen and makes you pick a language. Every time. It's set as default. I've uninstalled any other message apps, restarted many times. uninstalled and reinstalled this app. Nothing stops it from being a pain to see your messages.

only gave it a 3 since I just downloaded it. I've been trying to reinstall the original text that came with this android. 🤨 The original let me quickly respond with an emoji on top of said text to reply on a text someone just sent me without having to start a new text🤷🏻‍♀️ And this app says it the original but it is not this is the about 8+ times I've tried to download the original sms/text/emoji that was accidently deleted that worked Very well. unreplacable apparently 🤷🏻‍♀️

great app highly recommended needs complette privacie not using people's data ect ,& if they dont want there details displayed that needs to be reaspected but is a good app also it needs to remove all adverts from it and games adverts aswelll as can be quite annoying and will loose yiu a lot of custom please sort tus straight away without. making people have to down load add removers or blockers please make your all completely adverts & game adds free thank you

it spammed messages on the receiver's end. I use this app because of the search feature (which my default SMS app doesn't have) and even paid for lifetime no ads subscription. please fix this.

I ❤️dis message app because it's a magnificent great useful brilliant excellent app for me because I liked so much I decided to purchase dis app and I shared with my friends and neighbors and family and they all decided to give try and they said like I said and they❤️ all of thems styles and they all purchased dis brilliant message app and keep on improving dis manificent brilliant useful great 👍 app to have I highly recommend to everyone to give dis app and try it won't let u down and B F N ❤

keep getting notifications of new messages. but when I open the app there is nothing new there. I wonder how much business I am missing out on because I'm not seeing the new messages. Just got a notification I have new unread messages, but when I open my inbox there is nothing new. time to fine a new message app.

I don't appreciate all nonstop ads! I did not have it before and I can't find a way to block them either. So frustrating!

Not sure why it was trying to take over my calls. Big ads, but it did help me send a sms with my 2nd sim as the Google messages app was struggling with that. Wouldn't recommend except in an emergency

I'm not getting any photos sent to me. Only text messages. I went through the settings several times to see if I missed something, but it appears this app doesn't allow them? Which really sucks because people send me pictures all the time. I can send out, but do not receive.

Annoying, it has ads, won't let me into certain group chats, pictures don't go through, and sends me notifications that someone texted me when they actually didn't.

False advertisement and poor service most likely in collusion with google to force us all to use the google messages app. Photos and group messeges don't get delivered and has unesessary notifications that can't be customized. Requested refund after about 2 weeks and Google says it doesn't meet their redund police. Collusion if you ask me.

terrible. so many ads you can't even find the message box to reply. doesn't sync with contacts, names are just gibberish letters. total garbage app, trying to entice you to pay for it. trash.

It always says you have some kind of message it'll say you have a picture message it'll say you have this regular text message and then you go look and there's not a damn thing. This would be a good app and what's so damn annoying It isn't worth it

The app is okay but it keeps sending me notifications that don't exist, it tells me I "have a new message" when I don't and that "I have a new group chat message" when I don't. Kinda suspicious.
