Its unfortunate I cant give 0 stars. This app has not worked correctly since I've had it. it either keeps giving me connection errors (my router works well, no connection errors with devices, ACTUALLY), it either doesnt show devices OR it shows them but wont let me assign them to people, and now it isnt even letting me log on without throwing up a "session timed out" error as soon as the screen changes from the login to the home screen, and kicks me off. What is the point of this app???
If I could give this app a ZERO star rating, I would. It glitches more often than not so you either can't pause wifi access or unpause it later on. It only works when it decides to. it is at the point where I don't dare pause wifi to anything for fear I won't get it back. it also randomly asks you to onboard the router only to glitch halfway thru. I wish my telephone company would make their own app but until/unless they do, I am stuck with this POS app.
This is generous at 2. any router app with inconsistency should get 0 stars. if i can't toggle access to screens and devices at will 99% of the time it becomes an unusable app. i open the app and about 5% of the time the app doesn't load my devices or people profiles, its inaccessible. On the previous version this was not a problem. if they fix it I'd give it 4 stars for features and ease of use
The app used to work, but now it's worse than worthless! Ever since the last update it doesn't work at all. I had devices that were paused for the summer that I can't even connect anymore because the app literally does nothing! It made me go through the initial set up process, and then told me I already had an account. Log in to my account, and it says I have no service, no devices etc. Scan my router, and it tells me that it's already linked to an account (mine). Fix it please!
I have devices assigned to people. Now EVERYTHING is gone and im unable to access anything. No profiles, no devices, no alerts. It tells me that there was a delay. Meanwhile, devices that I had paused, I now can not un-pause. It wont allow me to create new profiles for the people in my home or show any connected devices. App is worthless.
Freezes up most of the time. Runs slow. Most of the options in the settings wont work. Ive used this app for a year and its been an inconvenience since day one. Surely there's a better option for managing my wifi router than this? You would think a more capable team would be overseeing this type of app but apparently the entire chain of command are incompetent. Going to contact my ISP about a different option or going with a different company if this is what they've downgraded to.
1st: uninstall and reinstall, login like normal, and everything should be there like it never left. 2nd: like most reviews, i suddenly couldn't see any of my profiles, wifi router, or other settings. it was like everything was completely wiped except for the password underneath the edit admin tab. I read on a reddit thread that someone (on iOS) with the same problem had un/re-install the app & everything went back to normal. I decided to try, a bit scared, but it worked. I use an Android.
My usage on the app was GREAT during the first month or two of using it over a year ago. Now, I am unable to login to my home system at all. The app is broken - please, fix it. the last update did less than nothing for me, as we cannot login to manage content filters for our children's media outlets, setup time restrictions for certain apps, or have the peace of mind in running a virus scan - these are all things the app USED TO be able to do flawlessly!
app worked fine till this last update and now the app suddenly refuses to acknowledge anything at all. nothing loads, no devices, profiles, the router itself. . . and because I use the app, the web browser login is limited. ⚠️Edit to add: i had to completely uninstall and reinstall the app to get it to function. thank god I remembered my log in cause there was no way for me to access seeing what email I had saved for the app! good luck to anyone who cant remember their login credentials!

App hasn't worked in MONTHS!!! I just got a notification that a device logged into my account but it wasn't a device name that I own so of course I can't get in and check to see what is going on. I can't check my usage or anything. It just pops up an error message everytime I try to do something. Hopefully tech support will be of better help.

I was able to get Fiber installed which gave me a modem that sent me to this app. Upon setup, everything was fine. Then I changed the router's SSID and from that point on, this app has been useless. The router's webui is limited because the router was added a mobile app and the mobile app refuses to see the router no matter what I do. I would suggest ignoring the app and see if you can get better service without it. It sucks that so many companies are forcing things on users that do not work.
Recently had my ISP (HCTC) upgrade my modem in order to achieve faster fiber speeds. New modem has the wifi router combined in one unit. They won't provide the login to the modem, so this app is the only interface available. Works ok, but I just don't like being forced to install more and more mobile apps on my phone. Screen is too small to use comfortably. Make the app available on the Microsoft Store for Windows!!
Ok, but a lot of issues. For example, this CommandIQ app has NEVER worked for me as they have my email address totally wrong. In addition, at the time of initiating our contract, we were told the plan we were advised to select should be more than enough has reached 90% of full use with 7 days left in this billing cycle! We have been sent an overage charge alert. So I would say, make sure they record your email addresses accurately & buy your data plan accordingly.
This app will not accept any password I try to set up. There is nothing that explains criteria. I tried using all numbers!/all letters/ a combination of upper and lower case letters/ a combination of numbers and letters/ and a combination of upper and lover case letters plus numbers and symbols I tried a few and, when that did not work, I tried a lot of each. This is very frustrating.
I don't get the option to prioritize what devices come first when connecting to wifi, and I am not able to do bandwidth tests. Also, now my phone only shows up in the list of things I can add to people. It also appears in the list twice, and when I do add it, it says that my "phones" r offline, and I don't have the option to connect either of them.
Was able to easily on board my 844g-1. Now, I have the 803g with gigaspire. Very limited in controls, and when using with the 844g-1, the app and the router itself never truly saved information or changes all that well. Will update in a couple of days when I see how the gigaspire blast performs. The best I can tell, the manual says to use this app.
Stopped working recently, we deleted the app on our devices and reinstalled and it didn't help. Prior we were able to turn off WiFi to certain devices and the app would identify devices on the network. Now it's useless. We try to turn off devices, it shows them as having no Wi-Fi, yet they still work. It also no longer detects when devices are on the network. It's become incredibly frustrating, app now worthless.
I've been using this app regularly without any major issues until recently. Suddenly, it no longer recognizes my account and will not allow me to log in. Additionally, I’m unable to access or turn on the connected devices that were previously set up and functioning. I’ve tried restarting my phone, reinstalling the app, and checking for updates—all without success.
Was turning off the Internet for certain devices then all of a sudden all devices disappear and wants me to scan QR code for new device. I've scanned the QR code and nothing. I tried logging out and back in, now I'm unable to even log in. Now the devices that are turned off I'm unable to turn them back on. I need some type of help. Very inconvenient this has happened.
I curse this app every time I use it. It randomly crashes and often asks me to onboard my router like I'm setting it up for the first time. My devices show that they are paused when they aren't, and when I pause things I can't always unpause them. When I first downloaded it several years ago, it worked well and was user-friendly. This is especially frustrating when my child needs to use a device for homework and we can't even connect to the Internet because of the app.
