This app is so inaccurate when you compare it to a normal compass. It also has ad after ad after ad. What a waste of time. Editing my response: I no longer have this app. I found another one that had better accuracy (even told you how to calibrate your phone to get the best accuracy) and no ads popping up as soon as you launch the program.
OMG at the ads. Looks like a decent app as far as functionality goes, but it put ads in my phone notifications that kept pinging me. I got that setting turned off, but then to open the app it goes through several full-screen ads before you can use it, AND there's the typical ad bar, ad, ad, ad, ad... not worth it. When I first installed it, I thought, "maybe this is worth the pro version if it's reasonably priced". I didn't check. There's so many ads in this that it's just insulting. Uninstalled
started with an advert, so I uninstalled it without seeing if it was any good. After Publisher Response: I understand the reason for adverts, however the Advert is the first thing I see, don't know what functionality there is just a full page advert. If it was after 5 mins or you had smaller contextual adverts on the compass page that is fine. but to not even see a compass app first is off putting. I do wish you the very best of luck with this.
Running an ad on first time opening the app is absolute heinous work. there's zero chance this has anything worth paying for. Skip. it wouldn't have been so bad were it simply a banner ad at the bottom of the screen but noooo they went extra greedy and shoved a mobile game style full screen unskippable ad into the app literally on the first open before you've even seen the app. disgusting coin clipping swine!
seems to be tied to Russia. after I installed it, my router immediately blocked an attempt to go to Russia in some way. I don't know if it's a coincidence but the compass is moderately accurate but has a horrible name and just seems questionable. I just wouldn't use it. there's so many compass apps out there that red flags go off and it's not worth my time.
ADVERTs were great. Thankfully the Sun rose again before I finished watching all the adverts so I was able to work out directions anyway. developer has replied. Yes I appreciate the business model, provide a service get paid either by premium or by ad revenue. However, making someone watch 3 ads before they use you service for the first time is wrong and not something I will play along with if my review makes someone think twice then it was worth it. No the reply will not change my review.
BE CAREFUL. Full of ADVERTISEMENT ONLY. To use every function you need to watch 2-3 video adds with annoying sound. You can't skip them befor 5 seconds. Skip button is placed in such a way that while skipping there is high chances that you'll click the add. 60-70% off all pages are filled with other (non video) add. Overall very bad experience. Nobody should use this.
Ads for other apps pops up as notifications on the notification tab when the app has not been used for several months. It's one thing with notifications for the app itself when you're not using it, but pushing advertising outside is just a whole new low. This is one of the few reviews I leave behind but they rightfully deserves 0 stars if it had been possible.
Absolute garbage and completely useless. The ads take over your device with no option to close them for several minutes at a time when just trying to navigate between menus. They offer an ad free version for $19.95 a MONTH! How ridiculous is that? Thanks but no thanks, Uninstalled!
U installed in just two minutes after trying several. Times to open the app. App won't open only ads open. Utterly useless. And they ask whether we like the app even after not allowing to use it at all. Actually doesn't even deserve a one star
Although I never find myself lost in the woods needing a compass, I do have the occasional need to know N, S, E, and W. The instinct to simply know directions does not come natural to me... at all. This app couldn't be more straightforward and easy to use.
Had to uninstall it after 2 minutes. Went on to an ad for a game with no way to skip it even after waiting for a minute. No skip, close, next button on the ad screen. Can't go back or move forward unfortunately.
It's excellent doesn't need calibration more often. When you needed the most it works perfectly fine. Can't expect to be accurate as compas but it's accurate enough to get the job done. Ads are there but premium version is there to go ad free. No more you need. Satellite images loading in no time is awesome. Must have app in you phone.
Ads Galore. As soon as you open the app, there's like a gazillion ads popping up. Sad how the world is all about money. Create a version that they know WILL be frustrating, just to then have you purchase the ad free version. The compass is slow and takes forever to calibrate, not worth it, period!
Not free and made me watch an ad before I could even uninstall it. Their response "sorry, ads are necessary" is trite, I was never able to navigate to the product for all the pop-ups, and there is a bazillion other compass apps out there. EDIT: Check out their response. Told you.
Working like a charm for me , you must allow your GPS to run in sinc with the app. No problems to report from me. Just to let you know I just paid to remove the adds it cost just £9.99 uk. Here's a tip if using the compass in your phone case and it has a small magnetic catch , try removing your phone from its case as magnets effect compass reading's.
I understand the concept of seeing ads on a free version of an app, but this app is SO full of ads that I wasn't even able to evaluate it. Why would I pay to remove ads when I can't properly try the app to find out if I even like it? From the second I opened it, I was consistently bombarded with pop-ups to the point that I just gave up. There are plenty of compass apps that don't do that
Not a good experience with unsubscribing / account management - they obviously intend on making money with short term subscriptions from people who are unable to cancel (My opinion). To be fair, the app looks good though. Don't try to cancel through the app, do it through Google pay or your card.
I downloaded this app and signed up for the free trial, tried the app out and it wasn't what I was looking for. I went to Google play cancelled the subscription and deleted the app. It all took about thirty minutes. I looked at my bank account the very next day and saw I was charged the full price for an app I unsubscribed to and deleted within 45 of downloading it.
The app has been performing great while at normal atmosphere. As I happen to be an explorer in the Himalayas, am yet to take it to the 'next level'. Will come back with It's performance report at the unspecified areas. It reads as 'Distance .... m'. I guess it means the height of the place above sealevel. It should be termed as 'Altitude' or 'Elevation'.
