Compass Maps

Easy to use, especially the map features such as the ability to place points on the map to obtain a measurement of a specified area. One small complaint: no option for calibrating the magnetic detector for the magnetic compass. Granted it's digital, even still it has to be able to detect for variations in the magnetic field so I think it brings into question the accuracy of the magnetic detectors. Otherwise solid app.

Developers need to find some way to prompt new users for a review, AFTER the user has accumulated some set elapsed time of use. Perhaps 5 hours use, or even 1 hour, or maybe 30 minutes total. But getting prompted for a review 3 minutes after I open a new program is really ANNOYING! While the compass action is surely limited by the phone's magnetometer, I found it unclear if this version correlates GPS location to a magnetic declination table, and tries to adjust the display accordingly.

Looked for compass app. First choose the one with highest number of downloads. It was impossible to use cause of number of ads. Then choose this one based on highest rating. Excellent app. Convenient, practical, fair number of ads. Only don't see something like settings or explanation if necessary to calibrate and what signal sign in the middle means. Maybe just didn't find yet. Thanks 👍

So far, the digital compass has stayed true and accurate. Although, it has yet to be determined if this digital compass app can resist the Polar effects of geo-magnetic anomalies - that...would be based of my cellular devices ability to be internally shielded. Which is highly improbable - Until such time, when the app fails, I have nothing negative to contribute at this time 👍!

I gave this a 4 because when the compass is superimposed over the map, the map is too jittery and the plus and minus controls do not work in order to zoom the map smaller or larger to see more of the map. Also i could not find a settings button, there is no descriptions of how the icon buttons on the area page work and there is no clear button to remove old area searches

So far, so good. I like it. This will suit my purposes just fine. Easy to use, and visually easy to read. But, I don't like the ads trying to switch between each of the modes/screens. I get that you need ads, but could you change it to maybe showing an ad after 3 screens? Or, give the option of paying for no ads.

Google has removed the compass from it's maps. Apps like this can be really good to use. If one wants to know distance between 2 different cities. It is not possible. All this map shows map within your current location, which Google earth also provides. If only it offers something different, it is worth to install, else don't bother to install it.

Pretty simple interface and doesn't try to do too much. It gives you all the essential information, including latitude, longitude, and heading. It's a useful app and generally reliable. It integrates fairly well with Google maps, but be aware it works better with some themes than it does others. So far, so good. I'd recommend to others.

Would like to get it calibrated and try again, or have some sort of error correction available. Put it up against a Silva and my marine compass which are both reading the same. But this is out by 20 degrees West on 4 points. I am in a building though, so will give it a try outside. Like the additional functionality though.

It's a great app. As a Community Emergency Response Team CERT volunteer, I can tell you knowing where you are is invaluable. It also allows you to track, in which direction major storms are coming from, as they approach your home. Kids love it, they can turn the compass, back and forth, on your cellphone. A great and comforting tool. Knowledge is power.

Hello ! I just have starting the usage of this "Compass , so far so good ! I would also like to see the Compass over the Territory being Located . A clear compass Overlay , to give the feeling of walking with the Compass in Hand . Maybe this is a Feature that I have overlooked , as I have just begun . Thank you ! P. S. I like the design but always needing to loose my sense of direction because of looking up at the Coordinates on the Top

Had this app on another phone for many years and loved it. Just got a new phone and installed it... NOW so many ads that even after a few minutes, haven't even used the app yet! It WAS a great app but now after updating, it is nothing but ads. Sorry, deleting this from both phones.

Works Perfectly. Tested against Mechanical Compass, reads as expected. Various Themes included, making it fun to use. I have a pocket pouch, nerd type, and I have a Screw Starter and Screw Driver with a Magnet on one end, it influences the Compass as expected. Hold away from Magnets or Energized Coils of wire in use to get most accurate reading. Well done.

This compass is flat out awesome! Not only does it give you the compass, but with real-time map overlays which is extremely helpful. I calibrated this against a Cammenga US military compass and it's dead on. Hats off to the developers for an outstanding application.

With a rating of 4.9 I was hoping for a good app. Found it was not accurate enough to be useful, even outside my case which has magnets in it to close. Seemed to indicate north correctly but when I turned the phone 180 degrees, South was off by some 20 degrees. Same for East and West. Nice try but uninstalled. Tried on a OnePlus 8T

Great app. Love it. Works for exactly what I need. Never know when I am somewhere which way is N,S,E or W. I am subscribed to spot the space station with NASA. They give the direction you can spot the space station, but I never know which direction to look lolo. Haven't explored other features yet but there are maps to. I highly recommend this app.

Mine will not show west at all. It only goes so fast to the east and south. Once I downloaded another compass app, it told hire to calibrate it and did that with this one and it worked again. Don't believe I saw that in the beginning or have a place for faq's. Maybe that could be added???

Absolutely DO NOT UPLOAD THIS APP. It's an ad machine. Simply moving from one feature to another, eg map to compass, brings up an app which takes 10 seconds to load. I don't have time for that. Plenty other great compass apps to choose from.

Excellent compared to all compasses that are for Google Maps. But I wish a compass only works with GPS and of course this limitation is always a smartphone. It made me uncomfortable that after buying the system, I realized that it was equipped with a sensor.

Amazing how accurate it is and how quickly it works!! This will be very useful. I wish I had this a few weeks ago when I got lost out of state in the dark. The android GPS let me down. Not funny! I live in the country so I'm not easily turned around. I'm using the app right now from my home in the country. Simply amazing! Love it!
