This is a great app for learning how to read music. Even if you have no experience reading music, the drills in the app increase in difficulty at a very comfortable pace and you pick it up in no time. Repetition is key, and you can redo all of the drills as many times as you want since the notes are randomized each time you start a drill. While the app does have milestones or achievements to unlock, the real focus is simply learning to read sheet music in a practical way and it works!

It's a pretty good app for sight reading practice. The reason I rate it at 3 stars is the quality of the note pickup thru the microphone. I have a Samsung S23 ultra which has a great mic, so it's not a hardware issue. It's absolutely flow-ruining when the app doesn't pick up a note you played, forcing you to replay it to get it to move ahead. And then automatically decides you played 4 wrong notes and jumps way ahead in rapid succession. Both of those app behaviors are bad for sight reading

I started learning notes about a week ago and have been progressing quickly!! It's an easy app, and it helps you learn to practice and recognize the proper notes. It feels like a video game to me, which helps because I learn quickly that way. I bought the full app, and it was definitely worth it! I highly recommend this app to anyone learning how to read sheet music or wanting to improve their musical abilities!!

I gave a 5 even though I haven't fully explored all the features. Am struggling to learn to recognize the treble clef notes quickly. Have spent most of my time in Chapter 1. The exercises there alone are well worth the modest price. I am 76 yrs old so I recognize that my brain doesn't have the neuroplasticity of a 10 year old. I need all the tools I can muster to help me. Using this app helps a lot prior to picking up my ukulele to practice finger picking exercises. My advice: get it.

I love this app! I play Cello and I got this app to help me learn Tenor Clef. I installed it when I was on vacation and forgot about it for a while, but after looking through my app drawer, I found it and opened it. Within 2 days of use, I am already able to switch between bass and tenor clef while reading with a decent speed. I immediately paid for the $5 lifetime full access and it was worth it. You get so many more lessons and you learn so much faster. 120% worth it in my opinion.

This app really helps me with learning to sight read properly & quickly. Within a week of use, I memorized the majority of the Treble clef. I do the exercises repeatedly until I get faster without any errors then move on to the next one. You really have a lot to do in the free version without having to pay but it's definitely 1000% worth it to buy the full version. The developers have two other apps that are equally as good and together you have everything you need to be a better musician. 😍

Excellent app for improving your note recognition speed. I graduated from college with a degree in music, then graduated from a conservatory. Even if you're only interested in treble/bass clefs, this app is well worth the cost, and the ability to plug in a midi controller makes it a must-have for anyone (beginner or intermediate) who wants to strengthen their sight reading speed. I'd *love* to see chords added (or a new app with chords), but that omission doesn't diminish the usefulness, as-is.

As a novice, I love that I learn and practice at my own pace. I've always been interested in learning instruments, but reading/knowing terms felt too dense. What we have here is a "one step at a time" muscle memory teacher. More and more of my responses feel instinctual, which is, in a word, incredible. Highly recommended for anyone remotely curious in music.

Smooth interface, good options. I rarely buy apps, but after trying many similar, I paid for the full version of this. Free version is a very usable product, all notes on staff on Trebel & Bass. Only thing I would like is a statistics graph for scores, especially for arcade mode, rather than just for % correct. Once you are consistently getting the right note, you no longer have a chart to show progress. Just whether this is a new high score or not.

Very easy to use for a beginner. I recommend turning on the "show note for correct answer" option so you can make strong associations. After the first basic section, it's 3.99 as a one time purchase for the entire app. It's worth it. Try out the free part first! Note to dev: it would be helpful to have the picture of the note on the staff before clicking on the drills.

I've struggled to read music for years. The root cause is because at the same time I'm trying to read the music I'm also trying to remember which string or which key I need to play. This app is simple, not full of annoying BS, and takes any worry about the actual instrument right out of it. Bonus points for the dark theme and letting you choose instruments. I have tried it for 2 days now and haven't hit any sort of paywall. I like it so much that I'm unlocking the full version anyway.

Love the app, bought the full version and also the full rhythm trainer. Just one thing though. I feel like it isn't really a "complete" trainer if the rhythm and note apps are different, so maybe you guys could make something that trains you with both at the same time (for the more advanced learners)? I think it could help you expand your audeince a lot and also keep people using the app even when they get really good.

Great app if you're willing to pay so much (way too expensive though) very customizable. Only problem with the scoring is that as soon as you get one note wrong the scoring doesn't really matter anymore. Even if you were quicker you still get the same score as before so there's not really a point to tracking your progress with the score. It would need to be calculated both on time and number correct to be useful but time doesn't play a big enough role

I took piano lessons years ago as a child. Forgot how to read sheet music, and now as an adult trying to re learn has been hard until I stumbled upon this app! It's fun, it builds up what you learn, it's well organized, and I feel like I am actually understanding how to read sheet music (so far, im still in treble cleft). Great app! I love that it was a 1 time purchase and wasn't crazy expensive, under 4 bucks! And, no adds! There were no advertisements before purchase or after!

Must have tool for beginners. I use the sight reading exercises daily and can do one or two exercises in literally a minute. If you are overwhelmed with the amount of options and are at square one with music, start with this and just focus on getting good at identifying the notes on the staff. You need it for all instruments eventually, you can't wear the training wheels of tabs forever.

Connect a USB MIDI keyboard to your phone (using the appropriate cable adapter) and this is app is perfect! I've been using it every day for a few weeks and I read noticably faster. It only costs the price of a few minutes of lessons to unlock all the content and features! It's also great to be able to improve my sight reading skills on the train while commuting to and from work.

I love this so so so much. I've become so much faster using this and it's honestly kind of amazing. I never thought I'd be able to learn this stuff at my age. My only wish is, I'd love if you could turn off the "you were faster last time" message at the end of a session. It... kind if stresses me out haha. Thank you so much for the amazing app!

I love this app, it's so smooth, there's no ads and it helps me learn quickly. One star is off tho because first it rates on the speed and not the accuracy, and the second star is off because you have to pay for the rest of the sessions. I understand that you need money for your app but can you pls at least make two more sessions free, because I'm only thirteen, and if you make it more free, I'll really appreciate it. Otherwise, this app is amazing! Thank you for making such a good app!

I think your music app actually helps people to read music better. But I guess I put to much into it than I'm aware of. Only if you want to read music better. But there are skills to memorizing and actually learning to read music better. You know hand and eye coordination. And if your a child you can learn it 123. It just takes 5 or 10 minutes of your time. To incorporate inside of you. And really learn. And I think that's the real reward. Actually learning to read the music and playing music.

I was able to play the rhythm part of sheet music after lesson 1. I have never been able to read music well. After 55% thru the first lesson, I played the treble portion of a When Sunny Gets Blue from the sheet music. I actually read the notes to play! This method is awesome. I absolutely uninstalled Flowkey, Simply Piano, and one other because this app yielded results immediately. It really teaches you to read the notes! If you want to learn to read the notes, this is your app.
