Cozi Family Organizer

My husband and I use this app to sync schedules and keep track of to do lists. We even have a list of food in the fridge so we can make sure we eat it before it goes bad 🤣 I love the recipe feature. being able to upload a url and have it break down a recipe is amazing. My only complaint is you can't make folders. I would love to sort between my dessert/baking recipes and my every day meals.

For the most part, this app is exactly what we needed to help keep our family's schedule straight. The only thing I would love to see changed is having the ability to search items in a shopping lists. I have so many multiples of different items because multiple people are just adding them to the list rather than checking to see if it's already on the list and unchecking it.

My family has used this app for years now and it has been very helpful. I love that all of us can add events, reminders, and see what else everyone else has planned. Love the shopping lists too, because anyone can add to those as well, and when my husband or myself are at whatever store, we can just check the shopping list. This app is basically useless for the less tech savvy people in your family. There is no way to set a default notification setting for newly created events like pretty much every other calendar app has. So unless they remember to set the notification for every event they create, they end up missing them anyway. It's hard enough to get them to remember to add the events. But then they also have to remember to set a reminder. Bad design.

Awkward to use. I have poor vision so my phone's text is set to maximum size, and instead of adjusting the size of the text display fields to suit the size of the text, the lines of text are cut off at the bottom. Even someone with GOOD vision would find it inconvenient to read the top halves of words. Also, the app signs me out too often.

I've submitted emails and reviews for the last year for updates to include things like notifications/reminders for chores (and have them repeat until their completed), more than just "daily" and "weekly" repeat options, alarms/reminders for events and tasks, priority flagging tasks, notification when something has been added to a shared list, ECT. Basic additions most apps already include in free models. other than having it all in one spot, you could use the calendar and notes to do the same

We've used Cozi for our family calendar for years. We paid for the yearly Gold account. One day, last month (a month BEFORE my renewal) we were locked out of "extra features" such as looking at past events or events in the future. They wanted More money, and wouldn't let us see our calendar till we paid. I got my info and moved to Google calendar so fast...

Cozi is much better than Google calendar or any other phone calendar that we have seen. Far superior! Easy to use, format is easy to read, larger size entries, etc. If one of us enters an appointment it immediately goes on both of our calendars. The help line is amazing! We had to get new phones and switched from iPhones to Samsung. The Cozi app didn't transfer. We had difficulty getting Cozi installed, the help line made it very easy.

This is so helpful and makes life easier for my family. We're all connected to the same lists and we use lists for everything. My kids want to add something to the grocery list or use the last of something, put it on the cozi and then whenever I'm shopping I check it and it's there. Better than a reminder or sending a text message. And you can make Christmas lists too!

Cozi is a simple Family Calendar, Meal Calendar, and Grocery list app. No fluff. I love it but the interface could be a little more modern. Don't get me wrong, the usability is perfect (don't ever change that!), it just looks a decade old. I had tried all (and I mean all) of the other Cozi-like platforms and this was the better choice in this vertical. Oh, and it's worth paying for.

Used this app since 2019. But recipes won't come up when I type them on the calendar, even tho I let the recipes load first as instructed. Also reinstalled as instructed. Have to pull up recipe, tap 3 dots, & add to calendar. But when time to cook, wrong recipe pulls up. Also keeps creating blank recipes I already have, written in caps like I do when an *actual recipe, not just me adding 'salad' to a menu. And now... some of my recipes are COMPLETELY DELETED. Just GONE. That's the last straw. 😢

Been using and paying for Cozi for years. Super useful family calendar. However, they finally made an update and made the shopping lists uglier, full of useless white space. And let us sort the list by name! Edit: Thanks for the reply. I have contacted you. Edit: Cozi has received my contact and has indicated they will address my concerns! Cheers for great support!

Used to be a great app, but I officially cannot use it anymore. No lists update, groceries have been taking a toll since it won't update for everyone? Please, fix this. My husband tried to reach out about it and got an automated response that didn't address the problem at all. There is a ring of death up by the top next to the add button that doesn't go away. We're thinking about downloading a new app, Cozi is not working anymore. I will adjust this rating if it ever gets a fix, but for now...

thoroughly enjoy the functionality of this program! to be able to share with all of my family whatever we all need to know or just those who need to know. Very nice how it works and to have the calendar/ to do/ and shopping all separate and creatable in their own format. also the journal feature, really like this whole program since I downloaded it, maybe a decade ago. keeps anniversaries, birthdays, and special occasions, perpetually without me having to keep going in each year.

Started out nice but it dropped immediately. When you first download it looks nice and you get excited to use it. I started putting in schedules for my photography sessions but when I went to go view them in calendar mode I was prompted to pay. 4 bucks and some change. not a lot but I didn't want to pay 4 bucks just to see my schedule in calendar mode. you can only view it as a list which doesn't look nice. you can only do 30 days out, should be able to view those 30 days in calendar view.

Overall it's extremely helpful in keeping our family organized and up to date in real time. Love the grocery list, my husband can add list items as I run to the store. The calendar portion could be more reader-friendly though. Even the (subscription) month view is hard to see what is planned. It might be better if it only showed 3-4 weeks at a time and when you turn your phone 90 degrees if it would show the calendar in landscape so that the day's events are more easily readable.

The free level of this app is all that I need. I can set reminders for appointments by person and I can set up my grocery list and know that my husband can see it as well. Most of the apps functions are not available to me and it contains adds that's are always at the bottom of the screen which is slightly annoying but not enough to pay for the better version.

Beware of shady business practices! We have used this app for years and it was a little glitchy, but it was free, so I continued to use it. Last night, when I needed to make a calendar update, I was suddenly unable to view any of my calendar entries out more than 30 days unless I upgraded to a paid annual subscription (no monthly payment option). I had no warning of this change and I was unable to access my own data until I paid the fee. I would not recommend this app.

Like everyone else, we have been using this app happily for many years. The ads weren't terrible and were necessary for an easy to use free app. However, when they took away the widgets and limited the free calendar to 30 days, it became pretty much useless!! You can still access your calendar from a desktop, but that kind of defeats the purpose of the app on your phone. Time to move on!! I refuse to pay them anything after this nonsense.

I'd be lost without it. EDIT: 7 years on this platform and now they just informed me I have to pay 40 a year in order to schedule anything 30 days out! Now, this app has become a useless calendar for anyone unless they're willing to pay for a subscription! I understand wanting to make money, but making it USELESS wasn't the right way to go... offer other perks for the subscription, but that was a LOW move cozi. Wow.
