Poor execution when it comes to paying using the app. When you do, it takes you to your browser where if you are not careful, you will pay as a guest. You need to sign in again. There are times when I open the app, and I also need to sign in. That means signing in twice to pay. Ridiculous. I have uninstalled an installed the app, still the same.

worst app ever. don't waste your time downloading it. Just use their website instead. Downloaded app, added items to cart, checked another app for 3 seconds, came back to having my cart completely emptied. Added the order again to the cart, attempted to pay, it said something went wrong. hit retry. something went wrong. turns out I had been charged twice for the same order.

I really like Cracker Barrel, however the last couple of updates have made the mobile app even worse. when I tap a link to make an order, an error message something went wrong pops up, and there is no way to get rid of it except by closing the app. another bug is trying to cancel an order. the mobile app does not let you cancel an order, and it keeps the resume order pop-up displayed, even after closing the app. I tried reporting it through the it portion of the mobile app, but nothing happens.

This is a good app when it is working, but a lot of the time when you do want to order it is having a login or some other issue and does not work when you want it too. Workaround is to order by web browser, but why have an app that can't be used half the time. Finally added google pay a while back so that was good. I just find it a very annoying to use food app. Just this food app. Yes I've completely deleted, rebooted, readded. It just sucks when its being gippy. September2025 version Phone S25

Not sure what is worse, the new menu or the non operational app. we used ti be regular diners but now we havent been in months, we order food and theyre all oit of it, we go in the restaurant and there's open tables everywhere but its a 20 minute wait. Tonight we completed the order on the app, entered the card info but when we try to complete the order it says we need to update in the app store, no update available in the app store and lost our progress, not eating here once again.

App sucks!This app is only so-so. It allows you to place an order to go; however, there are absolutely no options to customize anything. It also doesn't save you any time. Every single time that I've placed an order through the app, I still have ended up waiting 15 minutes for my order to be put together. Plus, the app has now added the daily specials, but it doesn't allow to to actually order it through the app. Lots of changes need to be made before I would ever give the app more than 2 stars.

This sucks. I've been a developer for decades. And I can tell you tech has gotten worse not better. Especially security. I can hack anything today. Now these guys want you to upgrade your device to spend more unnecessary money because the app is no longer compatible. Not going to happen. Couple that with the unnecessary rise in the cost of food, should just stay home, make a garden and hunt. Screw this noise.

Absolutely abysmal app. Skip to save time. prompts you to sign in over and over and over. Clearing cache and reinstalling did nothing. Tried checking out as guest, prompted for name, address, phone number multiple times. The app is practically unusable. Save time and just use the telephone to call in your order!

Update: now it says it needs updated, will says it's not compatible anymore on my device so I guess we're done ordering from CB until they fix it or I get a new phone. 😠 This app is extremely frustrating. It won't keep you logged in & even after getting into the app will not let me log in. Likewise, it will not keep the location so I have to either let it access my location or search everytime.

Love the food, this is app based alone. Most of the app work great. I use it sometimes twice a week, but often enough. The only issues that i experience are that sometimes it won't let me log in to access my rewards. sometimes it works flawlessly and others it won't let me log in no matter what I try. The other issue I have is when trying to select utensils or condiments. whenever you go to add them to order it is very difficult to click the button. I have to wrestle with it every time.

It never keeps me signed in. I created an account for the rewards, and it advertises a monthly bonus wheel. I've tried for months, and it only let me use the wheel once, not monthly like it claims, and now in the new update, the wheel is missing, but you're still advertising it as a bonus. I tried to use it to pay for my meal when I was at the restaurant but couldn't find a way to do it. I've only found the app to be useful for seeing what a menu item looks like and not all menu items are there.

The app is a bit wonky and not very intuitive. Entering my credit card data was easy until the final "next" button. But it doesn't change the screen afterwords. When I completed the payment process through the app, it did not provide a confirmation of payment, and there was no email or text message to confirm payment. Had to ask the cashier to check if the payment actually went through. Kind of negates the benefit of using the app to pay instead of just paying the cashier.

Compared to other food and restaurant apps, the functionality is awful. No option to save card info when you check out, you have to put it in each time you make a cart. If you need to change the location, which it only tells you in the tiniest font PHYSICALLY POSSIBLE on the top of your screen, you will need to throw out your entire cart and start again, and reenter your card info. I'm just deleting my account and the app and not returning. Apps are supposed to make ordering easier, not harder.

Overall, it's a nice, functional app. But, if you have a gift card, which we often do, you can't use it on the app taking away all convenience. So, we use the app for the menu and we have to call in our order, and whoever is on the other end of line can't hear us because of all the noise of being in a cracker barrel. Adding a gift card option for payment would make a huge difference for us as customers and for the store employees.

Horrible update. Prior version was great! This update apparently did not retain my original profile. Had to create a new one. Then, it wouldn't let me revise my password. Also, two out of three menu choices were not available, but no hint of this until I tried to add them to my basket. Finally gave up and made my own dinner when I got home. Sadly, Cracker Barrel was on my way home. Would've been very convenient otherwise.

The app works, but is very broken. I have always had minor gripes, but lately it has gotten much worse. I shouldn't have to fight the app just to put in an order. Random input errors appear when trying to add food to the cart. You cannot sign in, at all. Even at checkout it won't actually sign you in and you have to reinput all your information. It took me 10 tries to order my cart once AND IT NEVER ACTUALLY LET ME ORDER. I'm a technical user. This is unusable for technically challenged users.

Really bad. This app is not self-contained. When you scan your receipt, it takes you to a website where you have to sign in again, and sometimes there are glitches where the payment doesn't go through properly. I have to check my credit card to make sure I am not double charged. I only scan to receive the points. It's hardly worth it. Fix this, please.. and make this entirely self-contained when we pay by scanning the receipt.

Used to love this app. Great comfort food that is very affordable. Last 2 times I tried to order delivery, I kept getting "item not available" message every time I tried to add to cart. Very frustrating! Have they stopped taking delivery orders? If so, might have been nice to put mention of that on home page. Tried to order using GrubHub+ and prices were significantly higher. What has changed??? Please fix or let us know what's going on. Uninstalling and reinstalling did not solve the problem.

This app has greatly improved but the fact that after you go through the menu, have all payment information filled in and ready to place the order for the "place order" button not to work... that kind of kills all progress they've made. Wasted a lot of time trying place orders for it not to work then have twice the wait time after calling in the order.

Terrible app, constantly get the "item is no longer available" but doesnt say which item. Is it the main dish, 2 or 3 sides, salad dressings, biscuits? Spending 10 minutes playing plinko with the items selected to see what I have to change. Then to pull up at the location I can't use the app for to order and order the exact same thing.
