Craftsman Auto Assist

Not worth the money. So far every time I have had a light on in multiple vehicles and scan, the app tells me 0 issues found. Looks like others have had better success with it. Maybe my codes are beyond the tools scanning capabilities. With something like this with endless options for software updates directly to your phone from such a big company, I'd expect more scanning capabilities, especially for $70 and a little piece of plastic that plugs into a vehicle. So far it's been worthless to me.

For $60 im not sure there is more you can ask for. It doesn't read ABS or BCM but is great for basic diagnosing. Changing my 5 star review, because the scanner dies after 6 months, customer service through app and email were no help over three weeks of back and forth I had to call craftsman main customer service to get a replacement that has lasted about a week and same as the first one its "undetected" by the app. It's great, for the short period of time you get to use..

Easy and Simple to use. Got it as a gift from my dad and I didn't find the app to be hard to navigate. The instructions are clear and the picture diagrams help for someone who might be a beginner. And it's also quicker to use this, then to take it an Autozone, O'Reilly or some other place to get the check engine light checked. Would definitely recommend this.

Easy to use, not so accurate. I have a maintenance light on, but the app is showing that there are no errors. Also, because it's not detecting errors; I can't say whether it has the ability to clear codes or not. I used to have a $20 OBD from Amazon and tried this gadget. I guess I'm going back to Amazon.

The app was absolutely simple to use. All I did was plug in the OBD reader and connected the device via Bluetooth and it handled the processes perfectly. I have now found the problem after so many months of the light engine being on. In addition, I reset the engine light and everything is running a okay. Thank you, craftsman

this app offers the absolute basic scan tool option available. For the price of the reader and the software options that comes with it, (in my opinion) is worthless unless you just want something basic. For a Craftsman product, I expected so much more!

Do not waste time even considering this device! The app downloads a d Installs. The QR code scans to confirm the device registration#. I can create an account. My Bluetooth can find the device and it. Then failure! The car is on, the device plugged, I am sitting in the car, but the device cannot be added to the app. It is as if the device doesn't exist according to the app. Waste NO👎 time on this device. It is going back tomorrow!

This app waisted several hours of my time that I'll never get back. When I scan the sticker on the devise it says it's not a valid device. When I manually look for the Bluetooth signal it sees it and pairs but won't connect. I've read the instructions more times then it takes to memorize them on the off chance I missed something. I've tried every which way to connect the devise to my phone but have yet to see success. I knew I should have bought the other obd reader that has the box with a cord.

I bought this because I'm a part-time mechanic, working on friends, family and some other customers vehicles. When I originally bought this device it worked great for about a month then all the sudden it won't show me the live data for the vehicle its hooked up to and the whole reason I bought this is because I didnt want to take a loan out for a damn scanner. I guess I will return this and find something else.

This is easy to use and seems fairly accurate. I knew what code I would get before I bought it. I had a house fire and lost all 3 code readers I had. This is my start on replacing rhen and I am satisfied with this little unit. I did not see any adds.

This app is awesome. My car died while turning onto highway. Had to restart and it was misfiring. Thanks to Craftsman app i pulled this up and boom , it told me exactly what is wrong and not to drive!! I have 3 major issues. Bummer but glad to know what needs done. And it finds a Mechanic for you! Love it!!

App just sits there scanning trying to locate the sensor. Ive done what the instruction manual says at least 20 times now yet to no avail. My car is compatible and my port is working cause in my bluetooth settings i can see the auto assist there. I feel like i totally wasted my money on a piece of shiznit thingie

Great scanner for an awesome price. Accurate, easy to use, saves time going to O'reilly's to have check engine lights scanned and gives general fixes for the codes as well within the app!

Easy set up and easy to use. Very informative and helpful. I was afraid there would be an issue with my Saab...but it did great!! Even cleared the check engine light for me.

do not waste your money on this junk i ve been trying to get it to connect to the device for 45 minutes at 1:30am!! im pretty sure its the only device plugged in at this hour and it just keeps searching

Would really like more information than what is in this app. It even sure mine is working correctly yet. Same codes, but not at the same reading. Sometimes anywhere from 3 to 5 to 8 to 4 to no codes to 2 to 5 to 3 to 7 codes. Really.

I wish I could use it without having to connect to the web. Used to be able to. But otherwise it's a great app for the live data like temp and fuel trim

So far very simple. Very detailed. I like it a lot... And the videos explaining the issue for novice like me is wonderful!

Spent 45 minutes in the heat trying to connect to the app and it refuses to find or connect the scanner. This was a waste of money.
