I am juat learning how to play cribbage and this is a great way to practice. I like that it counts for you, and it will replay the count so you can see everything. At the end of the game it also shows you optimal plays --- you played this, but if you had played that you would have earned more points. I think this is a pretty neat practice tool. No ads either, even better

Great, simple, ad free - this game meets the match for a good one. If you are a pro player, you'll find the games get a bit predictable. It also seems to be slow, even with the "fast counting" option selected. However, it's a great tool for discard analysis, statistical analytics across multiple games, and the way it let's you see how your hand would have changed based on the cut is a practical way to see the statistical patterns if math isn't your strong suit. Have fun!

so I'm going on year 6 with this cribbage game and I love it more everyday!! there Really Really are no ad's. you can play 3 different levels and you can play live or against the computer. it keeps your stats which is kinda neat and it also has lots of options for different things you can change from the color of the deck to how fast you want it to count the hand. I only have 2 games on my phone and this one is the best by far and that why I'm still playing everyday 6 years later 😀

This WAS my favorite cribbage app! It no longer has an option- even on expert level- to bypass being interrupted if you did not play your "most optimal move" on EVERY MOVE. So if your move is to try to suss out certain cards, it will not let you just do that without first telling it that you KNOW that you could have played that pair... even if you dont want to let them play the three of a kind they might be holding. huge loss as had I played it before bed daily for over a decade.

The good: I've never had a technical issue with the app. And only a single slim banner ad barely noticeable at the bottom. The bad: Pro difficulty level just means the app gets unbeatable hands. I'll play what the app considers a statistically perfect game, and lose by 25 or 30 points. It routinely gets hands you're lucky to see once every 10 or 12 games. The cheating is so bad, often you can predict its hands based on the card turned up and the 1st card played. Really kills the fun factor.

Game doesn't fit the Android screen - it's too large. I also don't care for the fact that you don't have a cribbage board - your just given the number scored (call me old fashioned, but after 60 years of playing it's extremely difficult to train the brain to learn the "new mode " of playing! )! I have exactly the same version on my Android tablet, and it is terrific, since everything fits correctly.

The features and options here are great, I've been able to get much better by studying the discard analyzer and practicing. This is a good tool for new and improving players in that way. But the difficulty levels and computer play are BS. It's fine as a learning tool, but once you start playing to try to win, the blatant unfairness even on "standard" difficulty is just frustrating. Even if you spend every game making nothing but optimal plays, you're still likely to lose more than half the time

Most games I play for a while and then get bored and uninstall- but not this one. More than a year and still at it daily. It is realistic (haven't seen a 29 yet) but it has helped me get quicker with what cards to put in the crib. I do wish there was an option to call muggins, but the AI does count their scores perfectly all the time. No annoying ads- just cribbage. This is the one you want to have. update: still playing it 5 years later.

I have played Cribbage for at least 75 years, starting when I was a kid; it helped me to learn how to quickly add in my head which has been so useful, not only throughout my life, but also with critical thinking. Playing Cribbage helps keep my mind sharp. My best games are not ones I have won, but the ones where I have 0 errors!!!

This is a great game to learn on, especially when you're trying to get pegging down. It gets a little boring at the more "difficult" levels since it's not actually difficult to play against. All it does is stack the deck so that it can get several double runs of 3 or 4 (or double double runs of 3) to get ahead or get wildly amazing cribs unless you don't play what it considers optimally. Lowered to 1 star: the deck stacking is too much.

It's a good game for learning the rules and basic strategies. My issue with it is that as written it cheats a lot. I play a lot of cribbage against humans and I'm pretty familiar with how cards work. The game gives itself a lot more double digit scoring hands than anyone would ever see in actual game play. There are also certain plays that will always give the computer player points. Anytime you lead a "4" the computer will match it.

The game play is good. I often disagree with the "recommendations" that are shown. They take account of the offense, but they don't take into account what you're potentially giving to the opponent in their crib. I also wish the dealing was truly random so the game play is more realistic. It's obvious there's an algorithm in place to determine the dealing. There are way too many 12, 14, 16, & higher hands than what would happen in real life.

This is a good cribbage game, I really enjoy it! I especially like the breakdown at the end of the game of what cards I could have played differently to get more points. That feature alone gets this app 5 stars! To all those who are complaining it's cheating, I would encourage you to keep playing because it may be the way you pick the crib that's shooting you in the foot or the cards you play during pegging. The AI is optimized to make very few mistakes. Play tight and hope for good cards!

I originally gave this game a better review. But after playing for a while, I finally gave up on it. Instead of random deals, the has predetermined the winner and loser! Once determined, the game will ensure the that person gets the cards needed. An example is when computer has crib, I would be dealt great hand, but meant discarding good cards to it's crib that will always make crib great. This cribbage game was somewhat better at than others, but in the end, I got tired of playing rigged game.

been playing this one for years on different phones. performance keeps getting better - doesn't crash if the phone goes to sleep, for example. the play has gotten more intelligent. ads are constrained to the bottom banner and don't play sound. still a nuisance sometimes with flashing or lagging, but there has to be a price I suppose. overall, a good way to kill a few minutes.

I've been playing this for years. No lag or performance issues. I like the analysis and options that can be enabled. The only minor complaints I have: - If you leave a game unfinished and return later (more than a couple hours), then it doesn't store your progress. - Selecting easy, standard, or pro doesn't appear to change the difficulty level. I win about 75% of the time no matter which level I choose.

It is a fair game. Two observations after the first few days. First the AI always leads with the lowest card in their hand, or plays the lowest card when no points are available. Even when it's not to their advantage. Second the analyzer, seems to forget the crib and other aspects. Many times I will split up points out of my hand to make sure I don't give my opponents crib extra points. Or in situations I will set my hand up to peg. Analyzer doesn't account for any of it.

I will echo other's complaints about Pro mode; it seems as if the computer gets to choose its crib with full knowledge of whatever card is flipped over. But I admit that the computer could simply be playing without fault, and along statistical lines that they have the edge over the imperfect play of their human opponent. Otherwise, please add an option to throw a few dollars your way to remove the banner ad. I'm rarely even aware it's there, but when I do notice it I can't seem to unnotice it.

Like the game. The graphics and controls are very well done; probably the best I've seen in an Android cribbage app. On the other hand, even on pro level the AI isn't very challenging; especially during pegging. AI does not look ahead past the immediate points available when playing the hand. It also appears not to take end-game considerations into account when discarding. As a consequence, it is very easy to beat the game during the play and moderately easy to beat the game during the show. I can't recommend this game for cribbage lovers, but it might be a good tool to teach you the game.

I really used to love this app, but it's just not fun anymore. I love Cribbage, and this was a way to play when I can't do so in person. However, the difficulty settings are comically unbalanced. Instead of just making the AI use better and better technique for each difficulty level, the AI just gets better and better hands. It's especially noticeable in the Pro setting across as many games as I play. No reality of probability leads to that many 15-20+ point hands.
