1. If your building switches from cards to the app, they will not credit you for the cards with balances, and you cannot import them, even though this SAME company still has your money. 2. The app requests waaay too many permissions for what it does. 3. They will spam you with advertisements, even though this is, I will emphasize, a *paid* service. But hey, at least it has the functionality of a laggy timer, which is technically better than if it only had all those downsides with no upsides.
Update: Everytime I pull up the app, there are ads that block the whole screen. There are also added convenience fees for literally no reason. It works most of the time, but it frequently boots with an ad that literally never closes. Had to restart the app 6 times today to get an ad I could close. I already pay for the functions of the app. Why do I have to sit through ads?
App has constant network issues. machines break down continuously (despite being less than a year old). machines don't wash clothes very well at all. but the worst part is the CSC MARKETPLACE POP UPS in the app. I'm not using the app to shop for deals. and I have to click on the ads just to get back to the screen to work with the machines. UPDATE - CSC REFUSES TO REFUND MONEY THEY STOLE FROM ME
pretty good! haven't run into any major issues, only minor inconveniences. i've noticed that sometimes, even after the timer has ended and the cycle is labeled as finished, the machines will still be going. i often don't get push notifications for completed cycles, despite having them enabled. if i start a cycle and then open the door or stop the machine, there is no way to resume it. i have to pay for an entirely new cycle. this was discovered when i accidentally left a sock out of the dryer.
1. What's the point in having notifications if you don't even send a notification when the laundry is finished. I don't have any problems with timed/ automatic notifications from other apps only this one 2. Also to add to that, why in the world are you advertising promo deals to me? If I had the money to spend on things I don't need do you really think I'd being using one of these hardly working washers? This seems to be the only notification that works correctly This app is digital waste
This app saves your balance to the phone not your account... Load up your account and have your phone stolen or broken? Well that money is gone. On top of that it will not let you pay part in cash and use the app to pay for the remainder. These were designs purposes made and not programing errors. They want your money and don't care about the customers. Then the ads... this is an app we pay to use and there shouldn't be nonstop ads.
This company is a scam. I have reported maintenance issues with the washing machines multiple times over the past two years and I was never refunded and the machines were never fixed! The complex has nothing to do with the upkeep of these machines and the only way to get them serviced is through this app. CSC GO sent emails saying a tech fixed the machine, only for the machine to have the exact same issue during the next use. Save your time and money and move on!!!
Convenient and works fairly well, seems to freeze up and tapping sometimes opens a web browser despite the app already being open. Main problem is pop up adds that are hard to close when trying to start a load of laundry. I'm paying to wash the clothes, do I really have to be subjected to more.pop up adds? Pop ups are the reason for the -2 stars, just really annoying and unnecessary.
It is useful that the app can remotely manage your laundry balance for you, simply and effectively. However it is intolerable of this app to send constant advertising by push notification to your Android device. And you can't turn them off specifically, you can only turn off "all" notifications meaning no more pop-ups when your laundry is done. Ridiculous adware. I can only do so much laundry, how does advertising encourage me to do more? Also, it's sometimes unreliable and won't connect.
Literally cannot undo or cancel payment. It freezes up on the "5 minutes to make a selection" if you make a selection that costs more (only one of the four cast an additional $0.50). It's been almost half an hour and I still have that on my screen and now two of the four machines are "occupied" when they are not. What a waste of time and resources to make a dysfunctional app.
Guess they don't want my money. I went to reload and no matter what card I use, it declines. I started a new account and it worked to reload one time, then started having the same issue and wouldn't reload again. I don't want to have a half dozen accounts with this app, so they need to fix the issue. I sent an email, but no dice. I found a chat feature on the website by checking out the "terms" then hitting the menu then contact us. I'll try that next when they open at 8am CST
The app doesn't let you change the machine settings, or cancel a cycle once you pay, so if I accidentally set the temp on high instead of low, I can't change the settings, I can't get a refund, and even if I'm ok losing the money, I can't cancel the cycle so now I have to sit and wait 1 hour or use the hot cycle and ruin my clothes!! As a software engineer myself, I wouldn't work with whoever engineer or product manager who decided that was an acceptable user experience!
It's cool..... When it works. Our apartment building switched to these machines but didn't have a good feeling about them from the start. You can only use this unreliable app to pay for the washers. Since the app is down today, I wasted time walking over to load a couple of machines that can't start. There is no option to pay with card, cash, or a website. Someone still is waiting to be reimbursed as the company makes it very difficult.
It functions as intended. You have to input the settings on the machine itself, pay in the app, then start the machine. If you have a problem with the physical machine and it doesn't actually wash/dry your clothes but technically starts? You pay full price for that. No refunds. The app also regularly sends pointless "hey you should do laundry" and other notifications you can't turn off unless you'd also like to turn off notifications for when your machine is done running.
This app is absolutely horrible. You start washing clothes and get a few loads going and then the app starts experiencing technical issues. It's not a one off thing, either. This happens pretty often and it's almost impossible to get clothes washed unless you have quarters. If you delete the app and then try to redownload and sign in, you run into a log in error. It's ridiculous.
This app will charge you more than it says. In-app you are supposed to be able to add extra dryer time in increments (25, 50, 75 cents, etc.) but the app rarely, if ever, gives you the option to or even show that your laundry is running, even though it is. Instead of adding a few cents to make sure my things are dry after the 45 min time limit (that we all know doesn't dry a solid sized laundry completely) I've had to pay almost two dollars for an additional full cycle. This is a waste of my time and money. I ended up renting a washer/dryer combo because I was spending just as much with all of the extra cycles the app forced me into.
So many glitches! The app is completely wrong and shows 0 available machines when ALL of them are available. That then forces me to use the iPad & CC machine in the room. Even though I have money on my account through the app, and it asks for a phone# to send a code to verify, it still doesn't register so it makes you pay each time, through the CC machine. Also, since the iPad doesn't connect to your app, there's no way to add time to the dryer, so you spend more on each load!
Listen, I can understand the .50c price increase in washing. However, I only downloaded the app because your machine ate my $1.75 in quarters. In trying to request a refund, I can not do so because I have no *transaction history* through the app. I go to the help section, try to send email, only to get an error message that there's no email available?! Big fail. Huge.
Poor, unreliable service insofar as payment. Put in $1.75 of $2.00 for one load and then the machine stopped accepting quarters and won't give my money back. Other machines won't accept quarters at all. A technician came out recently but this issue remains. (Second time this has happened.) The machines apparently only work if you download the app and give your credit card info, which I prefer not to do. Why have the option to insert quarters if they don't work? Would not recommend.
The amount of times that it's let me add more money, but then within three minutes doesn't let me use a washer or dryer due to errors, is exceptional. Will take your money so easily but can't even connect to your machines? It's a very frustrating thing when you need work clothes and can't even start a washer half the time. When it does work, it's convenient.
