Currency Converter Plus

The aggressive ad serving has ruined this app. The UI is great and I previously was a big fan when the ads were a simple banner. Now the ads take over the screen for a second or two every. single. time. I click into the app. So if I check a conversion on this app, then switch to another app to check something before coming back to this app, I then get served ANOTHER ad. So annoying and intrusive.

Does what it's supposed to do without issues most of the time. Comes in handy for when shopping online at sites that only list their prices in a foreign currency (Euros, Pounds, etc.) to find out how much that is in USD or in similar cases. It's free if you have a Play Pass subscription, otherwise it's ad-supported, but it has 3 different pro upgrade options if you want to get rid of those. Overall, this is an excellent no muss no fuss easy to use app... 👍🏻

Great app, and easy to use. You can see the exchange rate between up to 10 currencies at once. But you don't have to do anything to switch conversion direction. You simply change the currency field you want to begin with, and the others update accordingly. It even offers charts of the exchange rate history between two currencies. The rates are updated daily, and you can use it offline, just when you'd need it. There is also a calculator and several more useful features and settings. Perfect!

Wow. I downloaded two separate apps for comparison and within just a few minutes I had 3 full screen ads pop up, one of which was very loud. I get the need for advertising and trying to get people to upgrade, but what's the point if you're irritated to the point of not even using it long enough to find out if you like it. Here's a tip. Don't make apps that that come across as being more about the advertising than the app itself.

Needed a curency converter for foreign travel. I used the free version for one year. it was fine and no issues so i purchased the paid version which is even better. We use it to compare prices between countries to assit where we can get the biggest bang for our US dollars. Allows you to customize the screen to currencies you want but also it is very easy to switch currencies.

I love this app, it got me through my most recent trip to Jamaica. What I've noticed since returning back to the states, I'm always getting a popup message with a pic of the app stating, "no internet connection". It's off putting and highly suspect. At first I thought my phone was continuously dropping the wifi signal but that wasn't the case. It ONLY pertains to this app. I'm not to sure what's happening and why it's happening but if it doesn't stop happening I'll have to remove the app.

Very useful and easy to use. On a recent trip to Budapest it came in very handy calculating between $, euros and forints. Here is a tip - when traveling abroad use a credit card that does not assess a transaction fee, and pay in the local currency. You will get the daily exchange rate. If you choose to go with US dollars you will end up paying more because they set their dollar exchange rate weekly rather than daily.

so far, so good. I just installed the app for my upcoming Antigua vacation and I wanted to know how much Eastern Caribbean Dollars (XCD) I would need to have on hand for cabs, food, etc. It's quite intuitive and has small banner ads on the top, which was not distracting or took away from the app. Well designed.

I've been subscribed to this app for a few years and I love it. Living and traveling abroad this app has been a life saver. It updates prices everytime I open the app or refresh. It's incredibly simple to use and easy to understand. Most importantly it saves the countries you've selected and opens immediately to the prices. Very important when negotiating on the fly. The app is perfect as is. Developer, PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE the layout or add stuff to it. JUST LEAVE IT AS IS. PLEEEEASE!!!

I use this app almost daily. It's excellent, especially the historical graphs. I live in France, but all of my income is in US dollars. 4 stars instead of 5 because of the very high price of the Pro version. EDIT: In the greater scheme of things, $13.99 isn't a lot of money. It just seems high compared to many of the Android apps I have purchased. EDIT 2: Purchased for access to the longer history.

This app gives me the info I am looking for, quickly and simply. Simple to use, exchanges are reversed with just a tap of the arrow button and optional black/white themes are very nice. I prefer the white theme! I just wish the graph was as detailed in the colour themes as it is in the original, but that is hardly a complaint. Overall a great app.

This is an app that remains on my phone since I'm always planning travels to Japan and Korea. I use it to track the Japanese yen, so I know the best conversion rate before getting yen for my trip. I also use it while traveling to help with converting prices on the spot. So very useful. When friends accompany me on my travels, this app is one I highly recommend they download. Although I mainly use this for Japanese yen and Korean won, the app has currency for all other countries.

Downloaded this app for a 2 week trip to Bali. Already found it so useful to accurately convert booking tours, hotels, taxis to USD. Bali is well known to be a region where people "don't have change", where you can haggle many purchases and where the first price is 3xs what you should be paying. I don't care to get things at a steal but at the fair price where we BOTH win and I anticipate this app to be a lifesaver when purchasing souvenirs. Thank you so much for this app!

My favorite!! Super easy and fast for multiple currency conversion. I have moved around a bit, so numbers can get mixed up in my head when I sell online. I know what I want (or paid) in one currency, and this is a quick way of pricing my items accordingly. Used it in different countries too. It's the best!!

Quick and easy to use. free (you can pay to upgrade but for simple shopping and currncy chekcs when abroad you dont need to upgrade!) you can enter about 10 currencies. There are some pop up ads (not all the time!) but quick to delete them if they appear. I've used this app for years and it gives an update every 30s. You can use off-line from the last amount that was updated. fantastic for travel!

I am writing as a long-time user who purchased Currency Converter Plus a few years ago through a one-time payment, primarily to remove ads and unlock full functionality. Recently, I noticed that many features I previously used are no longer available to me and have been moved into a Pro subscription tier. This change is very disappointing. When I paid for the app, the expectation was that core functionality would remain accessible without requiring an ongoing subscription. scamm

Previous versions of the app had a longer currency history to view. Now this is taken away, along with an unnecessary amount of ads that's affecting my UX (I cannot close some ads). If you take something away that is valuable to the customer, you should find something else to give back (in terms of UX). There's always a give/take balance. Uninstalling as the app has gotten much worse. No good anymore. 👎

Like many others I am missing the 1 year history of the exchange rates that was included in my ad free version I once paid for - cutting down a paid version and trying to force old users to pay again for the pro version sucks big time!!! I feel somehow offended by this policy and that's why I changed my rating to one star.

do not upgrade, I have the pro version and when I try and look at time charts it tries to tell me to buy it again. buying the pro version does you no good at all and I purchased it when it was forever purchase. so buyer beware! purchased before they want you to subscribe. so they're being dishonest. sorry for the inconvenience is your response? do something about it and fix the problem. I will report the problem to Play store!

They keep removing features and adding to their subscription tier. I paid for this app - a 1 time payment, maybe to remove adds or something a couple of years back. Most features have been removed for me and moved to their 'pro' subscription tier. Why anyone should beed to subscribe to a currency converter is beyond me. they just got greedy.
