i absolutely love the app, but the customer service has taken a HUGE plunge off a cliff in recent months. they switched to bots, instead of actual people and not good bots at that. i recently had an issue, that has come up in the past, and in the past it took 2 emails and 1 day to sort it out. this time, it was a 10 email long chain, with different "agents" each email. the bots werent able to resolve the issue over a full week that in the past took maybe 30 minutes to get fixed

If I had written this review last year, it would be 5 stars. I am going to guess they went through major business changes ( policies also) and now its honestly garbage. Cash advance, which was awesome, went from $750 to $50 for no reason. The support is about useless if you have any issues they won't be able to fix it. It does give you your direct deposit early, but the check-cashing feature is garbage also. there are issues linking debit cards and with transfers

never changing my review! they will mislead you! I get that my deposited check was less than my advancement, but I still paid the remaining balance that same day and even added extra. Just for them to allow me only $50 to reloan, on top of that if you need instant cash they wanna charge you $4.99 which is a rip off. I even contacted customer service & they kept using the term "risk factor". mind you i get deposits weekly, & always repay. I still stand by what I said

BEWARE! terrible customer service. never used account. not what I was expecting (no big deal) but impossible to close. going thru hoops for some time now to close this account. its almost impossible. no contact number to talk to live rep. just submit a request. you do what they require by responding to an email again but then you dont hear back. endless automated promotional messages from them. Just going to cut the card when it arrives and never use it since I it's impossible to close accounts

so far I've had a great experience with Current. I switched to them and I have no regrets doing so. My direct deposits arrive early as they advertise that they can, earlier than my previous financial institution used to make them available. They give you free overdraft option which is helpful in a pinch, along with payday advances which is another new perk I'm enjoying. overall I would recommend them to anyone looking for a solid option to do their banking. If you want your credit score to take a nose dive, then Current will definitely make that happen. Apparently they do not understand the concept or "credit utilization " and how it effects your score. They reported how much I spent through Current, marked it as Current but did not include balance being ZERO. So now my credit utilization went through the ROOF and my score took a nice big hit. I was SHOCKED to say the least.

Really disappointed in this app. I set up direct deposit and everything (for reference, I make six figures a year) and the advance offered to me was a meager $50 instead of anything close to the $500 advertised. In addition to that disappointment, the app is constantly sending notifications about features that are now available and when you click them, you find out that option is already exhausted. Update down to 1 star. Absolutely deceptive service with no human support. Avoid at all costs.

This app has several issues. I consistently get "you're offline" messages. I can't add a linked bank account or debit card. Signing in to the app or Plaid, verification codes are never sent or sent hours later. I haven't even gotten a paycheck through the app yet and I'm already worried I may have trouble using my card experiencing so many issues. This app needs a lot of kinks to be worked out. It's very unsettling to have so many issues before you even get paid.

I've been with Current for over 3 years. anytime I've had issues with my card I've had them resolved within a few days. only problem is giving up the card with the problem and not having the new one available for as much as 2 weeks. so I've learned to keep a few dollars on hand in case something comes up. my money is made available 6 days before it is direct deposited. they've added an advance feature which has been quite handy in the past. it can also be used for set monthly payments.

Customer service is sub-par. They give you a textbook answer if you have an issue and then claim they can't do anything. I have increased my direct deposit every pay period, and they are inconsistent with payday advance limits. On two occasions, they increased my limit and then reduced it even with increased deposits. They claim they review my account to increase my advance, but that hasn't happened. Everything else is satisfactory, just tough they don't help when I need them.

Great service, if you love waiting 8-12 days for your money to be available for use. The line they feed you at the beginning that funds will be available quicker after you use the service for a little while is BS (or by 'little while' they mean more than 8 months). Also there's no way to access anything without the app on your phone (no computer login).

Current provides services that'll leave you with a smile and much more. There's no hidden fees, instant free cash transfer, and dual card account (and still, simply differ from each other). The credit builder idea is excellent!!! I would recommend this app to those that is tight on money and needs to free sign up to get an unsecured credit card joint with a debit card.

Great. I screwed my credit up years ago, when I was deep in drug use. I couldn't get a bank account or anything so I went with this over chime, and Its amazing they help you build credit on the app. You can deposit money at stores using the barcodes, then when you buy something it essential uses. Your card as a credit card. But sets the funds to the side to pay the bill. It's really awesome

Horrible... Started out great, I definitely enjoyed it. Then, out of nowhere my card was suspended while trying to transfer money between my bank card and current. There was no explanation as to why and when I called the number on the back of the card an automated voice stated my card was under review and someone will be reaching out soon. It's been several months and so far I have heard nothing. I also have money still on my current card that I can't use or withdraw. Don't waste you time.

I selected a free account during sign up, except I was immediately issued a premium card and signed up for premium checking. Don't link your bank during sign up as you may be charged for the wrong account type! Edit: Support did indeed help me get my plan changed quickly, but the screen for selecting different account types hides the basic plan. When you do see the basic plan, there is no possible way to select the wrong one. There was no user error on my part.

BEWARE!!! They charge fees for just being a customer each month but then also charge fees to add money each time. Additionally, when you add money it takes upwards of 1 week before you can see or have access to your cash. The app is constantly glitching and customer service is NO help. I don't understand how you can deal with people's money yet the only way they can contact you is through chat!!!

Better than most on-line banking apps. However, it is confusing on how they do their current credit cards and credit building process. I researched all of the information available online, and it still didn't quite make much sense. Other than that, it's a good card to get. Nothing special over the others, just different tiny perks or ease of using the app.

So apparently, the app doesn't allow app based phone numbers. But it lets you enter one for your information. But they recently changed it to where it won't accept that number anymore at all when i'm trying to log in. I've been locked out of my account, and talking to customer service, just to have them do nothing at all, and stop answering me completely every time. That's ridiculously poor customer service to leave someone unable to access their bsnk account completely. Still can't get in

So far, I haven't had any issues. There is a small fee to deposit physical money into the account, which for me isn't a big deal since I have direct deposit anyway. The biggest thing I like about the app is that after you establish direct deposit, you gradually are allowed for overdraft (which is overdrive here) and there isn't a fee for it which is nice. I would recommend if you're looking for a mobile banking type app to manage your money.
