This app is not working as expected. I'm still getting an error message saying "Something went wrong, please try again later", and today when I tried to search just for Pale Ale, the results showed ale's, lagers, Asahi, Carlton etc instead of just the pale ales. Filters don't seem to be working correctly. I have uninstalled app previously out of frustration, and I'm almost at that stage again.
Always telling me via a pop-up my session has expired and I hit ok and it pops up again. No way to close it and re-enter my login details or use the app. Get off the sauce, Dan, and please sort it out. Update - August 2025: Dan's still off chops and couldn't care about the app. It's time you went to AA Dan and let someone else take over.
Genuinely the worst shopping app I've used. The shopping cart doesn't work at all (so purchases are impossible), the search functionality is horrific, it's unintuitive, slow and unpleasant. If they took the money they lose in one week on the app and spend it on one half-decent engineer, it would be a worthy investment. How did this app come from one of the biggest retailers in the country? It's been so bad for so long.
I missed out on this years Coopers Vintage Ale thanks to the Dan Murphys app, simply not working properly. Is it an intermittent issue ? When I try to place an order & the app decides it doesn't want to work properly. There's some error message that pops up. Telling me it can't make a phone call. It's very weird. The other message I've read many reviews stating the same. The app claims it's been closed (when it definitely has not been !) & can no longer load the next page. It's not good.
Worst app I've ever used. It won't let you order though a browser, it takes you to the app and then the app crashes. The app won't even let me order some drinks to my house. Constant bugs, constant crashes, and it quite simply doesn't work. I'm uninstalling so I can just use the browser instead, so I can actually order my drinks. Wow!
ordered items on the app for pick up, got to store, no parking, pick up bays full of parked cars. No sms from store waited for a while and found a parking place still no sms. Went in and a fella said he would get my order to me, waited a while and went back in as my order hadnt appeared. The guy went and got it himself. Totally frustrating experience, whats the point of having a system that doesnt work, fail fail fail.

If someone wants to try a new product, never ever browse in this app. When you browse the list of products and suddenly you click a product to look into the details and when you go back it just go the top of the list. You have to scroll down all the way to continue your search. It's so annoying. Probably this app was developed when computers were first invented, so outdated.
Recently this app has become as useless as bucket with holes, doesn't work real well. Will not load and the circle of death awaits. I now don't use it as it's just a waste of time. First Choice is now getting my business. Been long time Dan's buyer. Not anymore until they fix the app. Pixel 6A. update 1 month later. Keeps sending authentication code you add that and takes you back to the login screen...you just go round in circles. the developer obviously doesn't care to fix this or they can't.
you can't contact them if you make a mistake and need a refund and even the bot doesn't help especially when you have trouble with technology and I tried emailing but they asked for my email and it came up please use a valid e-mail but I only have one
Two Factor Authentication needs a rethink! The forced 2FA is full of issues, unable to even set it up...after entering my mobile number I just see the circle of death. If I try to refresh, I've got to reconfirm and validate my email, only to end up in the same situation of trying to validate the mobile number once again. A major WASTE of time!
awful app, constantly gets stuck at certain screens, once you refresh it defaults to certain options you have not chosen, for e.g. I had 60mins delivery option, had to refresh because payment screen froze so it defaulted to 2-4 day delivery. Super annoying as well their non existent support, all done through chat now.
Can you stop with the alerts that can't be dismissed. You fix the search, the location and the alerts to the top and I can barely see any products. Between your app and website it's amateur hour!
review update after 6yrs. still lagging, crashing and getting stuck. even the mobile website is not much better. i do like shopping with you and will continue to do so in the future, but there is something systematically wrong with your IT team.
in the past couple of months this app has been troublesome. Searching scapegoat cider bottles via the app no longer displays results. I need to google scapegoat just so I can add it to my cart. Also, for the past 6 months I no longer receive txt messages letting me know that my order is ready to be collected. which means I don't get the link to click on to let them know that I have arrived. I contacted support a while back and they assured me that the issue was temporary, it seems permanent.
Haven't used this in a while. Came back needing to sign in. Fine. I Have my details. But its getting stuck loading and the 3 step verification. Once I get the mobile code it website just gets stuck loading. Tried 2 different browsers. Same issue at same stage if verification.
fine when it works. currently a bug that prevents you from proceeding to payment. it might be asking for ID or info on who's accepting the delivery but there's no options to add edit change.
There's a bug in the 2FA. The app keeps wanting to set up 2FA which is fine, but when I input my mobile number it sends another 2FA code but the app keeps thinking and doesn't allow me to input the additional code. Please fix. Feel free to reach out with a PM.
Trying to contact someone via phone or chat about a delivery which didn't arrive. Unable to use any of the contact links in the app, they appear to go nowhere. Very frustrating.
Frustrating experience. two factor verification is there with login and email but the app still asks for a mobile phone. when you enter the number the code sends but the page never loads. i just want to login and buy.
Items in cart, go to checkout and it tries to think about it before telling me the cart is empty, return to main screen and items remain in the cart. Same online and on app. Trying to throw money at you here!
