Edit that you are not listening to what im saying. Those options all gone!!!!! They are no longer available. All you can do with this app now is view your accounts and transfer between them You are no longer able to deposit checks, pay bills and all the things you could before. Now i have to drive 30 minutes to a branch to do my deposits. Disappointed is an understatement.
The last app was so much more convenient. This one loads incredibly slow in comparison. I was told they made a new one to make the website features all available on the app, but it takes forever to find anything anyway, so the website was easier. Documents also don't download/load properly so you have to go on the site anyway. The way to set up checking/savings transfers is tedious for no reason. Hate it.
would give zero stars if possible. cannot even log into my account from the app anymore because of the "network error" message. Transactions and money moving in and out of my checking account is chaotic and takes several days to finally see what my "true" balance is once all the transactions have sorted themselves out. The old app was wonderful. This blows.
It wasn't broken, so why did you fix it? I can't link half my outside accounts. I don't like fishing though menu after menu to do simple tasks. I liked the money management feature you had on the old app and main site, it wasn't the best but free. Lastly bring back the widget. The only reason I gave this 2 stars is because I was still able to manage the very basics of my money and it brought back the running balance, but it fails to help or even let me budget things out for the future.
When making a payment on bill pay, between the time it's sent and finally processed, it doesn't show up in your account summary or even in bill pay"activity." This makes it difficult to know how much you actually have in your account. It's a recipe for overdrafting your account. The only place I have found to see that there are processing payments, is to go to the individual bill and look at the history and compare it with the account summary. I mistakenly made an extra house payment. HUGE FLAW
There was nothing wrong with the previous app, why change a good thing? Takes too much time to find ANYTHING. What used to be 1 or 2 clicks is now a treasure hunt. Don't question some customers needing more flexibility, but there's a reason your average customer chooses credit unions. Ease of use, uncomplicated interactions and ACCESSIBILITY.
This new app has been nothing but trouble. Still no pairing with plaid, payments charge almost 3 to 4 days later after purchase when they used to be 24 hrs on pending purchases. I'm getting money back and then charged for an old purchase. Very hard to tell how much I actually have at a time, which is the purpose of a bank. Should have just kept the old one.
What is wrong with you people!? Why do you seemingly purposefully make every interface as absolutely, mind-boggingly terrible as possible. I have spent 20 years working in IT and it took me 45 minutes to change a single recurring payment, 30 minutes of that was spent on the website as that used to be the more sane option for such things, but then had to spend about 15 through the app to finally find where to adjust the payment. I'm seriously considering changing banks over how bad this is.
The new mobile app is very poorly designed in terms of UI(user interface) and UX (user experience). More often than not, the dashboard shows up first, with no bottom bar showing my options (Accounts, Membership,.Payments). After waiting or scrolling up and down it will show up . The dashboard shows useless information and isn't customizable. Most people aren't logging on to see what their savings goal is at, they want to see their accounts right away. **Tip- my username was my 7 digit acct #.** I added my other bank acct. It asked primary so I chose checking. I only see that added. Because it's not primary the savings doesn't get added? No totals either. It's a pain to add my other accts and now I don't see the point. I agree with others, the landing page should be accounts. I don't like the look of my Dark theme in it and everything is thrown together, casual and disorganized. For a digital credit union, this online experience is lacking.
This absolutely the worst user interface I have used in over 40 years of being a software developer. The initial landing page is basically useless; it contains no information useful TO ME, and cannot be customized to start on a page more suited to my daily banking needs. The conversion from the old system screwed up a scheduled transfer, and if you want to DEPOSIT a check go to AYMENTS. Time to consider another credit union!
I have been a dcu customer for 24 years. This is the first time I am very disappointed with the online banking experience. I typically do 3 critical things- check balances, bill pay, transfer. It has become so hard and extremely annoying to figure out how to do these anymore. I am using the app to do banking and NOT financial planning. Everything takes more clicks and key features are hidden - like activity tab on bill pay. This version is utter nonsense. Please revert to the earlier version
Sorry but there was no reason to mess with the previous app. This app opens to a useless "dashboard" where you are supposed to link your retirement and investment accounts. I don't need to link my bank accounts, thanks, and would prefer it to open to an overview of all my accounts like it used to. The widget also died with the old app. It seems like useful functions are buried several clicks in like deposit and pay people and statement.
Coming from New England and a business environment I find that change is not easily accepted especially with software. The only addition, which I hope is coming, is bringing back the widget and the quick balance in some way shape or form, as it is quite handy. Edit3/10/24--Widget is working, but cannot find a way to edit which accounts appear in it anymore.
ZERO STARS. The new app is junk. It's slow, it's missing functionality, and everything takes 3 more steps than it used to! They clearly went with the lowest bid on this and it looks like the bill pay is going through a third party now. This new bill pay is mailing checks instead of electronic payment. Coupled with mail issues it equals late payments! If the goal was to alienate members by making online banking more difficult, they have succeeded. Time to find a new credit union!
As usual, you mess with a good thing. The new platform is awful. Why aren't you giving the monthly total of bills paid. Very helpful to keep up to date with what is pd every month. Cannot sign in now through a Password manager. It used to open like the App, but now teeny tiny online look. Not suitable for phones. Why don't you just leave things alone. New, isn't necessarily better....
App does not provide Bill Pay functionality. Sorry, let me clarify, yes, Bill Pay is technically available on the app but it's a reduced "baby" version. You can do the minimum, like pay a bill but doesn't work like the web version. The app's Bill Pay is cumbersome and not very user friendly. In addition, the app, overall, is very slow.
If I could give 0 stars I would the new layout is awful 😖 it is not user-friendly or appealing to look at. I may close this account which will be a huge hassle because of the accounts linked to it!!! There was nothing wrong with it before, "If it isn't broken don't fix it"!!!!! You took away the ability on the phone app in phone settings to allow notifications now other apps that I could previously link won't. 😠 Despite all the negative reviews, you're still not fixing what you broke!!!
Can no longer access messages, tax forms, statements, Contact Us, etc in the menu, just brings you to a blank screen. Can't find a direct link to the DCU website either, like they used to have in the app. Made for a frustrating effort to download my 1099 form!
They were real positive about goals and help when you opened an account. But, like every other Credit Union and Bank, I'm treated like my FICO number, low and not at the 800 level 🥺, not a human, who made some bad decisions in life and trying to fix her mistakes to get back on her feet and track! I really thought they were veryyyy different! 🥺
