Okay app. Two main problems with the current version - parcel info doesn't show up for half the properties in my area. I get a pop up message saying I need to upgrade to get more than the 1 state I have with my current "elite" plan. But the property I am clicking on is in the state I am already subscribed to... Parcel info is also really outdated. Still shows owners and parcel sizes that are more than a year old (pre-2025). There are other free apps in the playstore that are more current.
The weather tracking aspect has been fantastic in my opinion and been accurate every time. Now being a big fan, I can't see paying for the app in the coming years. That being said, you'd be paying for the video conent, not the hunting aspect of it, like anticipated. If you guys have a youtube channel (which I follow closely) there is no point in subscribing and paying a premium when there are other free apps that can give you weather. I understand you guys have incorporated phase breakdown into your app but the above average hunters out there and myself know how to play the weather. If it were to stay free or being a one time purchase price than I could see buying it, but not yearly subscription, just trying to put in some friendly feedback. Thanks for your time.
Would like to be able to look at and rate days in the past since I sometimes forget to rate them the same day. I would also like to look back on certain days to see what the conditions were. Weather information was about as accurate as any weather app I've used. If the missing features I listed are in the app, then I didn't see it and would rate higher.
Don't waste your money. Paid $30 to have for the year and it was basically useless. They give you 10 days out of what the morning and evening hunts will be like, rated bad-great. I would go out during an evening or morning hunt on multiple occasions where the day prior the app would say good but then after the hunt later that night the app would change to bad/poor. Essentially the app is super inconsistent and I would not waste your money. Hunt when you can, especially during cold fronts.
Been using this app for a couple of years now. Hard to say whether it's accurate or not, but overall, I can say that it trends to be. If the app was rock solid, I'd have no issue forking over $10 or $20 a year. But weather changes literally day to day, hour to hour. So I'm paying for information to get a 5+ day heads up, only to have weather swing wildly on me and then the "Deercast" is useless. Only reliable for 36-48 hour windows. Anything more than that is totally unreliable. Save your $.
It's a 5 star for what it is. It's an estimate of when the conditions will be the best to harvest deer. My family shot 5 bucks this year and it all occurred on days that said "good". It all depends on how much pressure the deer have for it to be accurate. You could hunt 2 different pieces of property 2 miles apart and have different results. Use the app more for when not to hunt. Times when it is not favorable and could cause more damage then do good. Hunt when you can, stay out when it says too
What a shame, this is a pretty good idea and has a handy kind of style the could be one of the most highly sought after apps in the store for hunters and outdoor adventurers. But... its the most laggy, freezing, glitchy app ive seen in a looooong time. Its got a good following and been out plenty long enough to get around this. Feels like a poor early beta release thats months away. All the best features in the world don't mean jack if its so slow and glitchy to be of any meaningful use. I'd use for sure if it was a smooth and polished product that moved as fast or faster than I do. (Like every other app does at this level.
This is not a hunting app. It's a land manager, movement guessing, waste of money. All the content refers to these big food sources, that the average hunter can't afford, or has time to do, so I assume that's what their predictions go off. Most of the predictions on the paid app were garbage, and probably work for the 200 acres food plot covered farms they hunt. it doesn't work or isn't a benefit to the average hunter. Don't spend money here.
This app like all other hunting apps is a joke. I will take notice to the days it suggests "great". I'll set in the stand from dawn till dusk. AND NOT SEE ANYTHING! Not on my phone and quiet as can be. Still Nothing! again this apps suggestions are a joke and waste of money.
I love this app! I spend a lot of time in the woods , running cameras, regrouping, and trying to figure out the deers next step , this app is one of my goto apps to help me set up on some of Great deer we have. and most of the time the movement is just as it is written in the app
the predictions and "forecast" are never even close to accurate. the only thing that is, is the weather and sunrise. not sure what they use for their predictions, but they are never close. days they say are bad, I see tons of deer moving, days they say are great I see nothing.
Research said you could link onX hunt elite to deercast for benefits at the cost of onX but left no instructions or link on their website or benefits page to do so. Standard free version is only for the day of, whereas we all likely plan our hunts for tomorrow. I think highly of the Drurys so it got 2 stars. I just don't know what else there is at the entry level worth using.
this is a great app. needs some added stuff but may come with higher priced app.
I enjoy the accuracy. I hope the cost stays down. For what you get in features, its a good value at the current price point.
haven't bought any package yet, but it's been awesome enough from what I've been able to do for free with this app. better believe I'm going to purchase one, I have followed the Drury boys since the 90s, they are the real deal
another weather app. days it says great see nothing. days says slow don't go out and cameras go off. go out and sit and then they change the prediction. watch barometric pressure. watch weather fronts and pattern your deer.
Great hunting app! They're constantly working and improving its functions! Thanks Drury brothers creating an app from what you have learned from your experiences!
I use this app with Pro level. It is very accurate. I look at it daily during hunting season. Working outdoors and travelling around during the day, always me to compare while a field or work. The daily break down is spot on. Times when it predicts good or great activity most times I'm seeing deer. It does seem to under shoot movement at times when it says ok or low in my opinion. Great tool for the avid hunter!
I decided to give this app a try, being that I already have GPS style hunting related apps installed. This is way different in a better way. This app actually predicts the best days to be in the woods. And on 2 occasions when it said conditions were great, I saw deer both times and actually took a 7 pt.buck with my crossbow, after less than 15 minutes on stand. So yes, I'm a believer.
They used to have a 5 day prediction feature and the 10 day and the shot placement feature were extra. Now they show your current days forecast and nothing else unless you pay for pro. Then for the 10 day it's elite. It's predictors were fairly accurate, but not worth paying 20 a year for. I'd pay 20 once to get this data. Maybe. They had me sold until they wanted more money.
