UPDATE - Closing this account because of $19.99 deposit with every bill. This app is helpful but it also charges .99 every time you make a payment, which is more than double dipping. They charge you a monthly fee, a fee for paying your bills, + .99 when you make your payment. I want to pay my bill off with them but it will not allow the option to pay in full because they want that .99 per payment. It's not right to gouge people who are already struggling, otherwise we wouldn't need your service.
UPDATE: Had the request put in around 3pm, bill didn't get paid off until 5am the next day yet they paid it with a debit card. So my point again, 2 hours vs 14 hours shouldn't take that long in paying off 1 bill. Be quicker! Also to those complaining about the fees, this app should only be used for emergencies such as your phone getting turned off, your car insurance about to lapse, or like getting your lights turn off. This shouldn't be relied on so heavily. The developers got to eat too!
I couldn't do it without Deferit. Lately it's been a bit buggy when uploading your bill. I'm guessing they are using some sort of AI recognition system that scans the bill, and it "can't see" some important information that's clearly on the bill and "can't see" who the bill is from that's clearly on the header of the bill with the logo but if you're patient enough and keep trying it will eventually work. Been a user for about 4 years now and have established a large line of credit.
If I could give 0 stars I would. I was happy when I was approved and thought I found some relief and flexibility paying bills going forward but my first experience has been horrible. They did not hesitate taking the 1st installment plus deposit but it's been 5 hours and they still have not paid my bill electronically. In a world where technology has made things simpler and easier it's frustrating that you have to wait for service but they didn't have to wait for my payment.
•Great for small bills, but a $65 deposit on a $100 bill doesn't make sense if that option never goes away. •Add an extra $1 from every split payment & you're basically paying 7/10 of it anyway. I was hoping to see a limit increase after multiple repayment cycles, but it never came. •Available balance should be displayed easily on the menu option imo. •Credit Builder is great if you're looking to add another line, but there are other options available for less per month.
Deferit is a wonderful app, with this changing economy it’s good to know I have somewhere to turn when I’m short on bills.I highly recommend everyone to download app, sign up and use it! Even if you just want to have money for necessities and still pay bill ,you could download Deferit app split your bill in four payments ,and still have money for whatever. If you need help to build credit, why not give deferit a try? If you think you are being over priced on terms of payment deferit negotiates.
They charge $14.99 membership, then charge $78 to pay $150 of your bill. $93 for $150 paid, then you owe 3 more $40 payments. They think people are too stressed to realize this isn't helpful in any way. You get a refund after, but that defeats the purpose of splitting a bill in the 1st place especially if you are required to have $93 of the $150 on borrowing day
In all honesty, this app has had ups and downs. Having several payments decline during auto payment wasn't pleasant and the customer service aspect is not where it needs to be, frequently sending a robo email stating high frequency of calls. However, the concept is absolutely AMAZING! When it hits, it truly hits. I've used it for years and it's truly a refreshing way to pay bills not having to pay a lump sum in any given month. I'm overall thrilled with the app.
If you're using the service, please run! was an issue with my account that allowed me to fall behind on a few payments. However I ended up completing all payments for 2 bills and I was told by support Veronica and Bella that my account would unlock in the next 48 hours. That was over 2 weeks and my account is still locked! I recently just received a missed payment Notification for a bill that I have already paid in full and to make matters worse , they just reported me to collections!!!!
Deferit is a lifesaver for managing bills. It lets you split payments into 4 installments without interest or hidden fees, just a simple subscription. The app is user-friendly, quick to set up, and takes the stress out of juggling due dates. The reminders keep you on track without being intrusive. If you're looking for an easy way to avoid late fees and stay in control of your finances, Deferit is a game-changer. Highly recommended for anyone needing a little extra flexibility!
This is a very straight-forward platform and process. Upload your bill and they will break it up into payments. I changed banks (and debit cards) and the correction to my payment methods was really easy! There are other platforms that might lock your account during this sort of change. Customer service (via email) has always replied within 24 hours! I highly recommend this service.
Would actually give ZERO stars if I could... OK, what isn't listed in the "about this app" info is you have to subscribe to a "Premium" plan to use the deferment services. At a cost of $14.99 a month, I'll look elsewhere. Also, it's not enough they're going to charge a monthly fee, you will also pay a $0.99 processing fee for each of those monthly payments AND any other "plan" payment made to them. That seems a bit on the petty side.
I have been using deferit for a year I think and it's been really helpful for me. However I am an android user and have a galaxy s23, yesterday i went on to check bills, signed out and later that evening tried to sign back in to pay one and it said whoops can't verify device. Update: Spoke to someone and explained what's happening. Simple fix and all is good. Other than this one time, in 2 years I've had no other issues. I would recommend!!
I love deferit it helps a lot during these times. Very quick and easy, upload your bill, and make sure you have your first payment on your card. Sometimes, the bills give you an error, which is annoying, but there is a workaround where you can enter it manually. Sometimes, it takes a while for them to pay the bill, so upload it a couple of days sooner so you want have any issues. Overall I give it a 10/10.
I had an issue where I couldn't log in and it kept saying that a payment was due when it wasn't. Had to reach out to customer service a few times. Issue has been fixed. App comes in handy, especially when you have about 25 bills lol. After you make payments you can upload quite a few bills and it will tell you the amount and when you will pay before you accept. Also you can change date if need be. I would definitely recommend.
Great app to have when times are a little rougher than expected. Once you upload your bill, it's literally processed and paid in a little as an hour or less after your first installment is paid. The membership fee is higher than most, but it's worth it. They also allow you to move the due dates or your remaining installments. Deferit is the answer!
I’ve used Deferit twice—once for my car insurance and once for a light bill—and both times it came through like a champ. The process was quick, the payments were easy, and best of all, no interest or hidden fees. It really took the pressure off during tight months. If you’re juggling bills and need some breathing room, this app is a lifesaver!
Make sure you don't accidentally create a duplicate account under a different email! Even after sending in the required verification via the web form, no one is acknowledging it was sent in. They're very slow to respond! The website shows they have chat but no one's ever available. LOL Either they're dealing with staffing issues or this is a soon to be dead service. On the positive side, I'm glad I have not paid for any monthly subscription yet.

I've had a really great experience with Deferit. The process of uploading my bill was quick and easy, and I appreciated how clear everything was from the start. They split my payment into manageable installments, which took away a lot of the stress of paying a large bill all at once. The reminders were helpful too, so I never worried about missing a payment. Overall, it gave me peace of mind and made handling my expenses so much easier.
Basically it's a scam. They are impossible to contact and never provide a phone number, because they do not offer phone support, but yet, you will have your account restricted and be asked to provide very awkward forms of verification other than ID. I literally have a message attached to my account to contact them immediately--which I did, but it took them over a week to reply, even then, the issue remains unresolved. Save yourself. It's either a scam or they're just really bad at business.
