Degoo: 20 GB Cloud Storage

The only upside is the massive amounts of storage capacity for a relatively good price. I purchased an ultimate plan on sale. I'm still seeing ads in app. Cannot upload files larger than 1 GB. Organization is terrible. The interface is just way too clunky and unintuitive. But, if all you need is access to massive amounts of storage, then it's ok. Way too many of the five-star reviews are obviously fake. STAY AWAY!!!

Can't recommend this at all. It's always slow, the app itself does not remain running in the background any longer. Not only was my permanent account without ads seemingly revoked, I was sent a bot response about my account being terminated without sufficient information as to why so that I could properly appeal, so my appeal was declined. Can't even download my files, I'm lucky it was only a backup! Don't waste your time nor your money, seems like they're cutting corners for revenue.

The app is perfect for its purpose. However, just to make sure users are aware, Degoo is not your standard idea of cloud storage, but more like user-selected file/folder and/or complete storage back-up and syncing of the user's devices, with any file/folder accessable on any other device. To clarify, Degoo uploads anything you want to upload from your devices, up to and including a complete copy of your device's storage, and allows you to share the files on any device with any or all of the others. You tell it which files/folders to upload, and it will do so, continuing to update the folders and files within them whenever something new is added, if you have the setting active, effectively guaranteeing backups of every device you own. The 100 GBs of storage is real, no catch involved, and extra storage can be earned through things like "loyalty awards," (which is just logging in multiple days in a row, or a week, or staying connected for extended periods of time) or "ad offerings," (simply watching three ad videos around 30 seconds long can earn you three extra GB a day, for example, though it's not required.) There ARE ads on-screen, but scrolling past them is painless, and otherwise the ads are mainly the aforementioned optional videos for earning extra storage. All in all, Degoo wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but was instead exactly what I didn't know I needed, and I'm delighted to have it.

Do not trust them! I had accumulated a good amount of storage watching ads and completing rewards, which worked great for a while, only for them to suddenly remove all of my earned storage and email me saying I'm over my quota and they will terminate my account soon if I don't clear my files. Now I need to download my files to transfer them, but they have a daily limit on downloads! This was a complete waste of my time. Worst cloud service ever.

The UI is very clunky and awkward. You can't manage all your files on a device, only the files uploaded on the device you are using. It doesn't remember your settings, like Sort Order. I prefer the sort order for my photos to be by date, but every time I open the app, its back to name and I have to change it. I got a deal through PCWorld for a lifetime subscription for a large amount of storage, so I'm stuck with it. I should have tried the app before spending my money.

This company's business model is making their service as difficult and as annoying as possible, so that their paid customers give up and don't use it. It's riddled with limitations, slow speed (when I say slow, the latest example is a 1GB video upload is still at 43% after 2 DAYS!), ads, and now I can't even log into the updated app. I'd strongly recommend staying away from this, so called, service.

Very basic functions missing. I'm looking for a replacement for Google drive because i need to up tier to a higher quota again. Found The encryption on Degoo interesting. But the app doesn't work - when i go to upload files, the screen is blank and white. There is no way to know if cross syncing happens - if you update the file online, is the file on your phone updated? On my computer, i was able to select a folder, but there is no icon on the folder to id it as being backed up.

I purchased the lifetime subscription which was a great deal for 2 TB. However, I'm finding that with the auto sync, I have probably hundreds or maybe thousands of duplicate files uploaded to various folders and I am unable to play video files which are uploaded with the app or with a Windows 10 desktop. Degoo support:, what am I doing wrong? Video files won't play!!! Also is there a way to detect duplicate files across folders. Edit ,still no information about my files not playing???

Purchased 10TB lifetime account. Am no longer able to add new devices, am no longer able to use automated backup. There does not appear to be any form of automated restore, or ability to download more than a few files at a time. Recovering all my files to move to a different service is going to be a nightmare and take literally forever. Regret purchasing, would not recommend.

Worked great for a long time. Now it aways says No Connection on wifi or data. No longer backing up because of it. Secondly, you can't backup all your devices with one account, that drops the rating big time. So does lack of free space. EDIT: here we go again for the past week or more getting the no connection again and I'm a subscriber so I guess I'm going to cancel my subscription because this app no longer works properly and I'm not paying for something that doesn't work.

This app used to be the go to until they switched their business practices to a point where you are no longer even able to access your files from a desktop on the free account. You literally have to go through the app on your phone to download one file at a time (even though you were able to put multiple files at a time on their storage but that's another conversation). Could've just said you needed money and go. Definitely will be pulling my files and moving on however long that takes...

My experience overall was good until I went to download the photos I uploaded. I want to have physical copies of the photos that have been on my phone for the past few years. I don't want my files to be stuck in the cloud.. For the past few weeks, I have tried downloading a very small portion of my photos, but every time I get an error.. this goes for the app, website, and windows application.. I no longer have my old phone as I had backed it up to this app, but cannot get them off..

Update: Don't trust them. I earned almost 200 GB of storage to back up years of family photos, then they changed their policy to where the earned space expires after 28 days. The flawed app kept getting stuck when I tried to download all of my photos before the space expired. Stay away! Old: Lots of storage space, automatic backups, easy to use. Plenty of ways to earn more space also. Love it!

This app is good and would've gotten 5 stars if there wasn't the issue of not being able to log out of my account! I literally have to uninstall the app, and reinstall just to log into another account, which sucks. Other than that it gets the job done of keeping your files safe. Just be sure to log in often or they'll erase your stuff. This almost happened to me, and for that I take off another star.

When I first used this app, it was hard to upload files. It would stop several times in the middle and it took too long to complete so I stopped using the app. I just started using Degoo again and it is much easier to upload files now. Navigation is much more easier figure out. I'm currently uploading a file right now. It just completed. It was very fast to upload 200mb. However, I cannot find the backup files I just uploaded. This needs further testing which I don't have time for now. I have to discontinue using until I test the app further.

I've only been using Degoo for a couple of weeks but Degoo is quickly becoming one of my favorite. There are definitely some pros and cons but the pro s seem to be easily outweighing the cons. They offer a true 100 GB completely free account that you can remain with as long as you like as long as you check in every 90 days! And.. you have tons of opportunities to add even more permanent free GBs! Just for inviting, playing games, and watching ads.

As others have said they abruptly reduced the available storage quota, in my case from 1 TB to 20 GB. I didn't even get an email notification about this. I just opened the app today and saw the change. Fortunately I hadn't started using it much. I feel bad for those who had already uploaded a lot of photos. It's not a trustworthy company and they have no customer transparency. Stay away!

Great amount of storage but not user friendly. Automatically uploads files from my device without permission, in fact I specifically turned automatic uploads off. Still uploads them, sometimes multiple times, so I have 2 or 3 copies of files I don't even want. It won't let me delete them either! It says they've been deleted but they're never removed. My storage is a mess and I can't even fix it! Also noticed that adding files to a "collection" often doesn't work, no error, just doesn't add them.

Changed from 5 stars to 3 because I can't get any photos to use. I get a link back to the photo no matter how I share it. What's the point of storing if you can't even get the original? Do you take a screenshot? That's not acceptable. I'll change rating to 5 if I can use my original photos. Too late to save anywhere else, been deleted off device for a couple of years. I have 250+ gb storage I earned watching videos. A lot of my time. :(( The idea is great I' want to keep the app!

Ok to upload, but absolutely horrible if you plan to download. Start with selecting pictures, you cannot select by date. Even if you could, it only downloads a certain amount. How many is that, who knows because it starts by preparing download, then just sits there for a minute before giving an error. And when selecting individual pics, for some random reason it wipes out your selection and you have to start all over. Also has multiple of same pics, that wasn't downloaded like that.
