In the relatively short time I've subscribed to the digital edition, there have been several different versions of the app. The latest one is by far the worst. Constantly crashing or not starting up at all. I find myself having to frequently force stop the app to reset it. Please figure this out.
Improved over previous versions. One frustration is the auto rotate when reading an article. If you put your phone down or tilt it too much it rotates and when you get it to right itself, it goes back to the beginning of the article again. Very frustrating. I'd rather control when I need to use rotation.
A great way to read the paper without all the paper. It was a wrench going digital six out of seven days in the week but the physical newspaper just got too expensive. The replica edition is great, though, once you find your way to a comfortable reading style.
When clicking an article, it now says I'm not connected to internet. All other apps work. Tried it on 3 different devices today, all react the same way. Waste of time, DP is slowly going out of business, and this is one of the many reasons why.
2nd updated review...The app has been crashing recently. Today, it crashed over a dozen times while I tried to get through reading the paper. I updated Chrome and restarted several times to no avail. Please test your latest app on chrome for stability!! Updated review. The latest version is an improvement. A request though, is it possible to offer a dark mode with black background and white text... to reduce eye strain?
While spending more time on my digital devices is, less than ideal, I appreciate having recycling-free access to high-quality news & commentary. The Denver Post has long been an award-winning paper. As challenges have grown, the reporting has improved. **It's IMPORTANT that we have QUALITY, LOCAL coverage** The Post covers stories - in detail - that television news does not, that radio news typically does not. The DENVER POST IS IMPORTANT. **PLEASE SUPPORT IT**
You guys provide an upgrade to your online experience but I never seem to notice any differences and once you're in the app going from page to page always gets weird and squirrely. Why don't you quit giving us these minor upgrades that nobody notices and either leave the app alone or provide a major improvement.
On Android version, constant get no internet connection when clicking to read any article, when I have internet and I can see every page in that editions paper. Worked fine previously, but will most likely cancel subscription now
Works well and is a nice way to read the paper. Two feature improvements would be nice 1. Dark mode 2. Ability to remove unwanted sections. I don't care about sports at all, it would be nice if I could filter this section out so when I swipe through the pages, this section is skipped
I like the replica edition. It's not as good as an old fashioned newspaper, but once i got the hang of it... Problem is it stops working and freeze intermittently
The new replica e-edition is terrible! It's incredibly hard to read, hard to move between articles, constantly requires changing the font in order to read each article. I HATE this...not worth the ridiculous amount of money to get it!
The digital edition of the Denver Post is easy to read. Being able to scan the paper and then click to enlarge the article I want to read allows me to quickly get caught up each morning and get on my way.
App is very cumbersome to navigate and previews take a long time to load. Plus, it seems there are more ads on digital version then the actual print.
Maybe it's my tablet but I find the Digital edition very squirrely! Navigation doesn't always work; it freezes up, never recovers to page I was on, etc.
Updates make the paper easier to read. Love the ability to read the entire article instead of finding the other half later in the section.
Great App! I'm very happy with this app and happy to support the Denver Post with a subscription. I appreciate the efforts to provide us with accurate, informative news.
This DP digital replica edition says it is installed, but apparently it is not. I cannot find it or open it. Why does the Denver Post fail so badly in its electronic delivery?
Garbage. Doesn't download the newspaper, even when you tell it to. Won't log me in on my phone, only on my tablet. Buggy. Top bad you must use it to view the e-paper
It works well. The best clarity is a full download. If not, the graphics are fuzzy.
I like this much better than the old version because i can see the ads AND zoom to an article to read it easier.
