Glitchy at first, but once cookie season started, it was great. I did not have the issues everyone else has reported. The only change I would like to see made is when we scan credit cards, I wish it would bring in the name as well. If we could lose the required email field, that would also be helpful. I normally just put a made up one, but it still takes time. I do love that we have this option for free though.
It's an okay app. Could definitely use improvements: A way to see the site address, not just a QR code..not everyone can use those; A way to send the site to a mobile phone as a text message, not just an email.. Not everyone uses their email often enough to remember the login information; It'd be more efficient to have the customer (optionally) enter their payment information from their own device after the girl submits the order.. Like a text message or email, with a link to complete the order.
As of Feb 11, 2024, now that presales have started, the app is working pretty well. Basic ordering works great. Love the credit card scan option. Troop & scout package inventory is still showing 0 for everything even though we have inventory in-hand and has been entered online by the cookie manager. Would be nice to get venmo scan added. Would also be nice to have am app notification when a new order was submitted, especially when going door to door, so we could deliver right away.
This app is horrible. I want to track all of my cookies. That includes the ones purchased face to face with cash. Everything requires an address, email address, or credit card. I liked the other app much better. It was easy to organize orders, payments, and how many boxes of cookies you had left. Also, there are no notifications. You have to go in within 5 days to approve it. If you don't, the order is canceled. You have to keep checking the app. Not user friendly for a child.
ok but getting worse. credit card scanner doesn't work sometimes. our last cookie booth the venmo and PayPal would not process-kicked me out of app-then had to redo order and payment. later it was reported by GS that there were problems and some customers were billed twice from the ones that wouldn't process actually processing later. getting the payment summery needs to be an option at all times. not just immediately after the booth, you have to take a screen shot immediately or it disappears.
I have had great experiences with Digital Cookie for 3 years, and every year it improves. Selling cookies requires a lot of self education, and if you don't take the time to read all the information provided by Girl Scouts you will definitely have hiccups.
app has some good features customers are looking to use digital wallet such as Google wallet and apple pay . there should be a tap the phone pay option from one from to another. also have not been able to use at cookie booths yet does not register the booth location. and today all 3 phone we have linked to app could not approve an online order . please help
Update Feb '26: The app now can do PayPal and Venmo! I wish it had an inventory screen to see what is on hand vs the initial order or what has been allocated to each girl. As a Juliette parent, having a way to track cash sales and be be able to cover the balance without making a double sale would be nice.
There's no way to log preorders that want to pay with cash. please fix this so we aren't reliant on a paper order form.
Log in only, will not let you sign in to your account, and doesn't save your old account. There's a button that clearly states "register here" and it doesn't even function?
Says I am not registered when I clearly am. I can access digital cookie on my phone and computer, but on the app it will not allow me to login.
This year makes the app is so much easier to use by not having to type in a person's name when checking out.
definitely needs lots of improvements and to fix errors when accessing various sections.
keeps locking the account even though the email and password are correct. can sign in on website but not the app. very annoyed. fix this so we can actually use this thing to help sell gs cookies.
This app has so much lag throughout the app. If it was not required for credit card payments, I would NOT be using jt. It desperately needs optional email (no one wants receipts!!!!) and cash payment for better tracking. Based on reviews, I won't update the app. The credit card buying steps NEED to be simplified, it takes way too long to go through all the steps. Card scanning needs improvement, it lags and takes too long. Doesn't even scan the expiration date.
will that let me set up an account. I'm a 608 year old woman who's been trying to order cookies online and I can't order online it won't let me set up a digital account so what in the hell is the use
What is going on? Used to love this app! Made things super easy for the girls. But I just went to download it for for the new season and and it started glitching out and crashing over and over and over and over as if my phone was possessed by a tiny app demon. Hope you guys can fix it before cookie season is over because this app is pretty much useless for the rest of the year.
Update: It is now Feb 22 and I STILL cannot open the app without it crashing. The app crashes every time I try to open it. I haven't been able to use it at all for the 2023 cookie season. My original post was in January. It is now almost March and the app is still crashing. I've tried several devices and I encounter the problem on all the apps. When are you going to fix this bug???!!!
One of the most challenging apps to use. It does not log me in for 12hrs as ticked. It drops sales and makes us relog in and start all over, if it logs in at all. Must provide an email address and answer questions about Scouting questions before completing sale. Such an unprofessional and something that should be much better considering the volume of GS cookies. Help the girls look more professional and find ways to enter the card data quicker. Such a pain to use.
I've been able to login (it saved my login credentials from last year) but the issue I have is anytime I want to navigate back or an error message pops up, I cannot use the "back" button on my phone, and exiting the app and coming back in takes me back to the screen I'm stuck on. Only not using the app for 12 hours or restarting the phone can get you back to the homepage again.
