It works well as an audio recording app, the UI definiely could be streamlined to cut out the bloat. Also, there needs to be a permanent toggle for the "Dolby" sound, since its on by default and makes the audio sound WORSE. Every time I want to listen to my audio clip, I need to manually toggle the "Dolby" button, it gets really annoying really fast.

Awesome quality sound is what makes this app stand out from other audio recorders. However, the fact that you cannot pause while recording is why this app doesn't have a near 5 rating. (4.7 + like its competitors). I do not use this app as my main recorder because the time it would take to go through and delete all the silences or piece together bits and pieces of 1 audio that had to be split due to inability to pause, is too time consuming.

This is impressive: stereo widening and tone shaping effects, an option to save as larger uncompressed .wav files, and reverting back to the unaffected file without effects at any time. I'd love more file type options, and an easier, simpler, searchable list of recorded tracks, but this makes recordings on my phone sound so much bigger and better compared to other recording apps. Unfortunately, after the first week of downloading it, I can't rename files anymore. This is frustrating.

Awesome in almost every single way. The only issue, others have mentioned, is you can't batch download the recorded files and it also take a very long time to export the files locally. When I first started using the app I thought the files were being saved to my phone. How am able to play them back if they're not being saved?? Now I have to individually export each file on two devices which is cumbersome and time consuming. Update to auto save and/or batch DL and it's 5 ⭐ for me. Thanks devs!🙏

I like the app and use it to record my podcasts as my host recording sucks. However, audio files need to be "exported" to the device to then upload to my podcast host as the files aren't easily found or accessed on the device through the app. Editing capabilities could be better, but it is doable. It's an ok app, but extra steps are necessary depending what you're trying to record or do with your recording.

The recordings I made cannot be found on the internal memory, and neither on the SD card (after it is being set as the default) . Update: you need to export each file in order to see! The recordings do come out in very high quality! it is not very intuitive to rename them in the app. There is no option to set dark mode either. although the company is highly reputable, this version leaves a lot to be desired. I'll be more than happy to give it five stars once the above issues get fixed

This has been a huge, huge help for me getting decent live drum sounds at my practice space with my cheap android phone. My biggest challenge is that after a take, the video is saved and I have to navigate a bit to delete it. If there was a 'delete' button on the thumbnail right away it would save a lot of time and arthritis, heh. But all in all I'm a fan and very relieved to have it. Been recommending it on drum forums. The exporting process hasn't been too cumbersome for me.

Multi-track PLEASE?! If I could simply listen to the already-recorded track (or imported audio file) on headphones and then record a new audio track to play *alongside* the first one, this would be perfect! And then let us do that again, and again! If there are mobile CPU limits, then set it to just 8 simultaneous tracks. Make all this good workflow and processing have the function of a DAW for when we REALLY want to lay down an idea, or for when we simply want to show off vocal harmonies!

The app doesn't understand the importance of preservation. For example, if you delete the app, all the recordings are gone because the flag introduced in Android 10 allowing you to preserve the data isn't present, meaning all the recordings not exported are gone with it. Exporting is a nusance too; It takes too long, and I have to be focused on the app. If I switch apps, the progress resets. Finally, they didn't test switching microphones mid recording, as that breaks an entire recording.

It's perfect for what it is: 'An easy & free app for recording audio+video.' Whether that's music or video-shorts, it's even got a few editing tools; however, it's not what I'd call an app for "Professionals," per say. Like I said, it's great 4 what it is. I, myself, enjoy creating music w/it. I can basically just open the app & record whatever I need at that moment...voicing an idea, recording a Demo for music, making a video to share. Don't expect much more than that...I do use&enjoy it.

Phenomenal app. I'm not sure how much they use private audio recordings for analytics and other things, but atleast they don't ship the data outside of the US. Best audio quality for a phone audio recorder. I'd recommend for people who want to record talking as well as music. It's great for both. It's also nice that it records in the background as you do other things on your phone. I'm not sure why such a good app is free...

Recordings turn out much better than on other apps. The streaming feature is really powerful. I recorded about 30 gb in the app so far. It's laborious and time consuming, getting the files out of the app. I wish I could simple access the original recording files directly. An option to name files based on date would be helpful. Default settings would be nice. I find the noise cancelation a bit too strong. I use it at setting number 1, and wish I could turn it down to about a quarter that.

It seems to be a good app - simple interface, reliable known developer. My two comments are: 1) it seems impossible to share a file after it's been saved (or at least, the interface is too simple for me to figure it out?) and 2) the inability to share multiple files at a time, or even better, access the files within the sdcard filesystem, is a big loss. Why would the app developers not allow this? The average user won't notice while the power user can use it for easier file sharing. It's a free app, so I can't ask for much, but if I can ask for anything, please save files into a directory that the user can access...

Absolute trash! What's the point of an app that records audio and video if you can't access your files? The default folder is nowhere to be found. I changed the export location, and found the new folder, only for it to be empty. When you record, a little circle appears when you finish. That does nothing as well. I also made sure that I hadn't denied any permissions. No files anywhere on my device. The support page was zero help as well.

this app is amazing and the audio quality is great! the only reason I can't give it five stars is because it's really lacking in file management. I can build up hundreds of voice memos in just a month or so and there's no way to select them all and download them or anything like that. it would also be nice if my recordings were just automatically stored on my device like some other apps. other than that it's a fantastic app and I'll definitely use it for things like voiceovers or vocals.

The quality of the recording is very good. On my old Android phone, though, I sometimes get a slight pause in the recording, even if I have shut down all the other apps on my phone. The biggest drawback to this app is trying to get the tracks off the phone and onto my computer. You have to export the file from the app and that takes a long time. This step really doesn't "export" the file, it just gets it ready to upload. Even longer if your phone's screen turns off..it stops exporting. After the app finishes getting the file ready for export, there is a long upload process to Google Drive or Dropbox. Most of the time, for me, the upload fails and I have to do the export thing all over. It usually works on the second try.

Everyone else seems to love this app, so maybe I'm doing something wrong; however, I have found it incredibly frustrating. I am a singer and would really like to record some videos of my singing, but no matter what I try (and I've done a fair amount of research), which tools I use, how close or far I am, or what style I choose, the sound quality is absolutely horrible. My singing is garbled and tinny, while the background accompaniment (usually just a piano) sounds like it's underwater. Honestly, using my regular cellphone video is far better--at least the sound is consistent. I was very disappointed.

Useless for what i wanted it for. Which was to test the quality of different microphones on my phone. However it will not record anything from a Bluetooth device. No headsets, earbuds, car, nothing. Not sure why they show off in their demo video recording "studio level" tracks when all they will allow you to use is the built in mic, or one directly wired in.

Incredibly well done app. Easy to use, sounds great, and looks great also. I look forward to further advances and updates. My wishlist is for other cloud services (for backup) and better organization; if I add a high number of songs, it would be nice to Tag or Categorize... Especially if this is to become "my" main Songwriting app.

Essentially no options or setting choices. My phone has 3 mics, and it Dolby says it has Dolby sound so there shouldn't be any issues finding them, but there are no options fo selecting what noise cancelling settings are used. There really aren't any settings at all. And you can't use the native android shareing, which is weird. It has to export it. It looks like you might be able to to export as .wav, but you don't seem to have any options other than that and the default m4a.
