The App got better, but the new popup notifications I can't remember having agreed to... are just annoying and terrible advertising! Especially if the popup is literally telling me about a special price voucher available just today! That isn't applicable to any store in delivery range..?!
App doesn't work properly. Tried entering my address both from the automatic drop list generated and from the manual search option. Even tried sending location data to get it to move forward. But it doesn't go beyond address search screen. I guess I got to thank them for helping me save my money by not letting me order the past few times I attempted. The app's also not very responsive. It really needs to be improved. In its current state it's more of a deterrent than a convenient way to order.
I use the latest Pixel phone, but the Dominos app experience is still too slow. Clicks on the menu items are not quick and responsive, when switching between menu tabs, the menu position resets and it begins from the top. Also, even though I am logged in, the app asks for a delivery address every time and even selecting the previously used address requires 2-3 seconds of unnecessary waiting until the GPS finishes locating. Also I received a call while ordering, after that the basket was reset.
Application said my order is delivered, but in reality it was not. We had to call (not them calling us), and then we learnt they failed because they could not find our ring (they found it many times before in other orders). Total disappointment, and misinforming app. You cannot even see which branch prepared your order. We had to search on our own. Highly not recommended. Horrible app, you cannot even see which store is sending your order, and you have to somehow guess.
Germany is by far the worst country in Europe when it comes to apps, or anything digital. Even foreign companies seem to have their apps messed up the minute it has German hands on it. It's so pervasive it borders on absurd. I'm glad to say, though, that Domino's is one of those VERY rare exceptions. It's simple, it does what it's made for and the payment process is a breeze.
app itself is ok, nothing special. but the prices are absolutely ridiculous, who pays 15 Eur for a tiny Pizza?
Got scammed! As advertised you would get a free classic pizza with your first order as new registered user. I didn't get that pizza and got scammed for a an order without the prize. The app doesn't also provide an option to just see your last orders and also offers no customer service or help option. Totally useless. Prefer to order on Lieferando as before
They promise 10% discount, but in tiny tiny tiny letters you find out that it does not apply to most of what you actually want to order. Also, did not receive notifications although the permission was given. So, nothing special, and one could use the website to order.
It's a very basic app that does it's job. The only problem is, that it doesn't allow online tipping, in 2020. So I can only order and pay online, if I have somewhere some coins flying around. This is not good, especially in Germany, where driver tipping is very common.
The app feels easy to use and seems to be mostly accurate with estimated delivery times. The only hiccups I encountered were with coupon usage. You really need to read the fine print in order to use them properly, which meant they actually weren't applicable to the orders I made most of the time.
App incredibly unresponsive. Takes seconds after a click to recognize the input. Also payment data has to be entered every time. Feels like very slow webapp but at the same time the website is wayyyy more responsive. This way you won't get anyone to use the app (appart from the use of specific promo codes).
I don't know why they changed the app, it was working perfectly before the new update and didn't look like a cheap knock off I cant even order now because its just frozen on the home page every time I press delivery. Even worse I try to use the website instead and it just sends me straight back to the broken app. I love dominoes so much but this app is really ruining the experience. DO SOMETHING PLEASE!!!
I really like the pizza, but the app is beyond good and evil. It's a botched website pretending to be an app, with corresponding experience constantly loosing your login data, slow loading, terrible ui and all the other good things. It does have funny marketing baiting you to order though, props to whoever is responsible. Do a native app, not this abomination.
New version looses two stars for me. There is no way to stay logged in, so I always have to do it everytime I open the App. Also special delivery instructions (which floor etc) dont get saved. The pictures in the preview below are from the old UI by the way.
impossible to login. both my wife and I are trying to login with existing accounts, but instead it goes to create account. Maybe it would be possible with Email, but we've had account with Google...
Fast and precise. Love ordering with this app. Especially the updates about my order are superb. Even without the food, this would be one of my favorite apps. Though on some parts you notice that it's a port of a web page. Still better than most of the apps I know/own.
Update: This app gets worse wirh every update! Now it wouldn't let me log back in after constantly logging me out for no reason. This app is nothing more than a really bad written web wrapper, design wise it comes from the early 2000s and it constantly logs you out and no way of seeing what vouchers are available. The Domino's app we used to have back in Ireland was wooooorlds better and an actual Android App!
Client side UI is complete garbage, forced logout after a session(means you have to log in again and again), no way to check daily coupon sale without having to go through ordering process, the app randomly crashes, the visuals of the pre menu page turn invisible if the device force applies the app to the nightly theme. Basically an app with a disappointing design ideas, sticking to the browser version is just a better choice
Dominos has to be the most backwards, p!sspoor excuse of a pizza franchise in Germany. The app is completely unusable and their delivery areas are getting more and more ridiculous. At this point there's only very limited areas in my city that they deliver to. I live about 10mins by car away from a shop and for the last 5 years and going they don't deliver to my address. It really is pathetic.
There's no option to cancel, there's no contact information. When a non-supported address is filled out it automatically changes to another similar one instead of stating promptly that the deliver can not be done.
