Everyone else seems to have great things to say about this app and I'm sure I would agree - if it actually worked for me :/. I've filled in all my details and done exactly as the set up required, but almost a month after originally downloading the app, it still hasn't recorded a single one of my drives... Would appreciate some advice on why it isn't working or if I've done something wrong during set up

Would be great if the apps own data was correct. Saying that you've been doing 40mph in a 30mph zone, when in reality, that 30mph zone is actually national speed limit! Also, it'd really benefit from the ability to adjust its scoring to road conditions in other areas. Driving on single track in the Highlands is vastly different from driving in urban areas. It's a useful tool to keep you more focused on technique and safety and would benefit from being able to add multiple vehicles.

Useful but frustrating bugs, particularly relating to acceleration. This app regularly faults me for 'acceleration ' when I am moving smoothly. It seems particularly prone to it where there are 2 lanes of traffic going in the same direction in urban environments. it seems to mark these faults when other vehicles are passing me. Very frustrating as I do my utmost to get a high score. It's particularly annoying when I occasionally do a longer trip, and it spoil us a clean drive with a false mark.

Sometimes okay but frustratingly inaccurate, for example, it marked me for harsh cornering around one of the biggest roundabouts in Suffolk, I couldn't corner harshly if I tried. it's quite buggy and seems like it tries to find fault at random. After numerous false events, I was flagged for harsh braking when I was actually accelerating.. this app does not know what it's doing. Uninstalled.

1mph to 6mph in 4.8 seconds during rush hour traffic is classed as harsh acceleration! Tried it but getting a little bored of every journey having 1 acceleration or braking point even though you don't drive any differently, it's almost like it just picks one to put in every journey no matter how far you are driving. There are still some interesting features though.

Overall I like the concept, but - after 4000+ miles covered I do feel there are a few 'events' applied that were uncalled for, and maybe a few that were not recorded. So an imperfect but interesting app that I'll continue to use and monitor. A great idea that could be a useful tool that inexperienced drivers could use to help improve their skills alongside other training.

Very poor and lying app. keep your driving underscore ads by it self events and yet you can not go anywhere in UK online like confuse. com or compare the market to choose what insurance you want to go with and add an universal code and get a good discount , instead it gives you their own insurance providers and and they want to make you think is the best price , while it is just a scam.

its good for keeping a track of of your driving and bad habits but as for cheaper car insurance I had a driverscore of 997 so I got an insurance quote on drivescore and on compare the market, there was very little difference in the prices considering on the app it shows that 51% of of drivescore users could save up to £430. maybe thats possible for someone in their 20s or 30s who dont have full no claims bonus and only have 5 or 10 years driving experience, i have been driving for 38 years.

The app is a bit of hit and miss, it's actually a bit frustrating, a smooth braking is apparently hard breaking, no, not a sudden quick stop, slowly stopped towards a red traffic light lightly pressing the brake steadily firmer till fill stop. Harsh acceleration, a normal gradual acceleration, I deleted the app before because it started to annoy me and I guess I'll be removing it again.... soon. Not sure what telemetry it uses, GPS or gyroscope compass or a combination and this causes it.

This app is picking up social media background activities and treating them as phone usage. I've been coping with this by simply changing the info to "passenger used phone." Now a new problem popped up, harsh acceleration. I am getting multiple ridiculous ones. I don't think accelerating from 2-6 mph in 0.7 sec is harsh acceleration. In my opinion that's an efficient start especially on a roundabout. Note to developer: If you want more feedback please provide me with a number I can call.

Massive improvement needed for this to be beneficial. its as many have said harsh when it comes to harsh braking and acceleration. this should also take into account traffic and other road users bad driving forcing harsh braking and acceleration to get up to road speed and also trafficlights. harsh cornering pops up if you hit a pot hole on a straight road. a number of these result in a lower score. cheaper fuel function has numerous stations missing from my area and they are the cheapest aswell

I think each different vehicle should be profiled separately in the app. For example, selecting On A Motorcycle or On A Bus for a trip omits that trip's score from your overall. However I am a car driver, a motorcyclist AND a bus driver. So yes I was on a bus not in my car, but I still want the points because I was driving it. The handling and driving technique (cornering, etc.) of a bus is a lot different to cars, as is motorcycling. Needs a filter option in Trips tab to find trips easily.

Overall not a bad app in my experience. I mainly got the app not for anything to do with insurance but to track miles and see where i've been, and to compare to my works tracking. What would be a really good improvement would be to see how many miles ive covered in a whole day and where I went not just for one single session, also would be good to include multiple vehicles, I drive for a living which is why I got it. but the app thinks i'm doing all the driving in my own car which isnt the case.

Well that was an interesting 9 month experiment, I finished with a 365 day score of 963, the app seems to think I brake hard in my Volvo and accelerate hard in my Z4 :) Overall quite good but when it came to cheaper insurance quotes, forget it, the comparison sites beat it hands down. Time to uninstall.

This app is fairly accurate in monitoring all trips and prompts me to be aware of places I may be inclined to exceed the speed limit. it also prompted me to be less heavy on the accelorator, although there are places where rapid acceleration is necessary to drive out of trouble.

I gave up using the DriveScore app because it frequently failed to record journeys, meaning it was generating a completely inaccurate score!! Also, if you can get it to work, it doesn't take any account of typical driving incidents when traffic lights suddenly change to red or a pedestrian suddenly steps in front of you or cyclist veers out! If you then apply your brakes harder than usual, that lowers your score!! Fast acceleration when joining a motorway from a short filter lane also lowers it!

Acceleration error? A CS colleague has advised that the acceleration threshold is around 0.33G. I have concerns that the app isn't converting from mph to metres per second (a multiplying factor of 0.44704) . I have gone through over twenty acceleration incidents and the highest fraction of G I get is 0.24. If I don't include the scaling factor, all the numbers rise by a factor of 2.236 and exceed your one third G threshold. This downgrades my score

Easy enough to use and accurate with locations etc and easy enough to reclassify trips that are incorrectly tracked. However my main markdowns are harsh acceleration, which seems to be a common complaint, I went down from about 885 to 827 just from one new trip having harsh acceleration which was apparently accelarating 8-16mph is 2.4seconds. This can be done on a bicycle let alone a car joining traffic. Acceleration sensitivity needs looking into urgently.

good app and encourages people to drive safely but their is so faults! cornering is a problem! my last drive was spot on, 6am in the morning, nobody around and i took a nice drive to work, no big corners as they are nice flowing corners but somehow my drive core dropped 31 points so now im down to 969! i no thats a good score but marking me down 31 points for apparent cornering is beyond a joke! The app kills my battery so now im deciding if its actually worth keeping the app of just delete it

it's good, but when you are driving upto 2000 miles a week, you will always get idiots cut you up or braking incorrectly and that goes against you on the driving score. so, if you want 100% driving score record, either stay at home or have a accident, because someone else is driving like a insane human.
