Drivewyze: Tools for Truckers

Everything works great except for one problem: when notifications come up from this app, it lowers your volume temporarily. but sometimes it doesn't come back up. you also can't turn it back up manually. this only affects the phones media playing but not the notification sounds. so you'll try to turn your music up to compensate and then suddenly you get a glaringly loud notification or navigation instructions and it's so loud,it hurts your ear. only fix is another Drivewyze notification. Maybe.

The app works. But first off you can't turn off the notification sound. And two it's always running. The reason I bring this up is when you're using your cell phone to run this. These two things make it annoying to use. Other than that the app works as it should. But I don't like things I can't turn off when not in use. And I don't like my music or audiobooks interrupted by a bybass noise when I can visually see that I got the the bypass or have to pull in to the weigh station.

PLEASE fix the sound problem! Just as everyone has said, it completely hijacks your sound at a root level so you can't control it at all, and your music or whatever you were listening to is permanently quiet until to close and restart the apps. Please fix this..or at least give us an option to turn off sound in the app completely..at least that would be a partial fix. It's SOO annoying. It's made me turn off all safety alerts..

I gave it 5 stars because drivewyze is highly recommended tool for drivers on the road. the app on the phone works very well, however, I find it very annoying that the phone has to be unlocked to have the heads up and preclear. I feel like it should work all the time that the app is running that way if you don't notice a weight station it still warns you and decides to pull you in or not. either way great tool, very useful.

the Bypass part of the app has been great. but, it is concerning to see reviews from early 2024 about the same sound issues im having. is there no way to have a mute function within the app so it doesnt screw up my podcast audio?

last week it gave me notification that app was working thru phone now I have to logout then back in and I still have to go into scale houses. used to inform me on home screen that it was on and running and now it doesn't

seems like everybody has the same damn problem with this app and the developers don't care to fix it probably because they've established themselves and they're getting your money anyway. The two problems that need to be fixed are figure out how to turn off the notification sounds and get it so it stops hijacking the sound on your tablet or phone. other than that it works. I've tried to email them about it a few times. no response

This paid APP and it is worth the money. Pre Pass scales all across North America. Provided they have the Pre Pass program turned on. I love this App. There is a free time limit on the App. So keep a eye on the Time limit. You won't be disappointed.

so I got the app open in the background and I have been using it for a month have never got a preclear at a weight station i listen to audible most of the time or music when I do bring the app to my screen from the background I get a disconnected warning

its very annoying and irritating. with all the pop-ups and notices , all for nothing! more of just another distraction!!!!

I heard this app is great for weather alerts. Idc for bypass since I'm a company driver. The app will not let you do anything unless you add truck info.

app was working fine but since the start of the new year I'm not longer getting any type of notifications. Nothing has changed on my end

Most times, this doesn't even recognize your close to a scale and then It says pull in unless closed. I get more warnings about rollover or curves and steep downgrades than I do going through the scales. I wish my company didn't replace my pre-pass with this app nonsense!

I've been using Drivewyze for 5+ years and absolutely love it. I was the instrumental in the company I'm leased to getting Drivewyze for the rest of their fleet. Recently I've been noticing that the app will close by itself and I have to check to make sure its running before I get to the scales. This is the reason I gave only 4 stars. Otherwise I would have given it a 5 star rating.

I use prepass ( the real deal) for years, have an rate of bypass of 95%, switch to drivewyze and bypass rate was 3% !!! Total waste of time, here apply ....you get what you pay for...back to real deal again and get the usual bypass rate, i run a dedicated line so same scales for both, prepass and drivewyze..... i never read the reviews before switch ....

I have to repost my review because it seems DriveWise is finally getting their act together. I was stuck with their bypass system and had no options but to use it. for three months it was nothing but a headache but now it's finally starting to work. I'm still not 100% with it but it looks like they may actually get it to work the way it was designed to given enough time. still a lot of weigh stations and Port of entries that don't use DriveWise though

I like it a lot, but I do not like that it literally pops up (as it should) but then it closes out of my GPS or minimizes it. It also mutes my music or podcast, then it lowers the volume, then I turn up the volume to be able to hear and then I'll get the ByPass notification and the original volume returns and Scares the hell out of me.

I finally had enough. Besides the FAKE positive reviews on here I can't stand the broken English customer service. Now the app is allowed to turn itself on whenever it comes near a weigh station. What if I'm not in my truck? I don't want it to turn on in my personal vehicle. The music mute problem was NEVER addressed and who knows what data they're sharing of ours.

It used to work just fine until a couple of weeks ago. It either doesn't pick up the scales at all or it says " WEIGH STATION 2 MILES". That's it. No bypass or follow signs. Updated it AGAIN yesterday. Still doesn't work. I think I'll be Uninstalling and canceling my subscription.

3 stars for now. I just downloaded it. If it works this week I will be buying the full service. As a company driver who's company refuses to get pre pass this could be a great tool for me. Update will be coming On Fri 4/12/21. UPDATE. THIS APP IS FREAKING AWESOME. It works in every state I've been except anywhere that has static scales. Aka weigh in motion. The first few times it did not work I'm assuming that's because the scales needed to get us in the system. But after that. It's flawless.
