DO NOT DOWNLOAD. This is NOT a free app. The devs should take this down and just repost it as a paid version. In 1 minute of having open j had to wade through not only 3 or 4 buttons pushing me into a 3 day trial (what a joke) but also an auto $50 a year subscription. If you are smart enough to avoid that they hit you with not only alltime banner ads but interruption ads. I saw four in the first 5 minutes I used the app. one was 30 seconda that couldn't skip. And it's so limited as a free vers.
The app has some serious potential.. multiple genres to choose from, it's an app that a musical visionary can go wild with. But unfortunately.. that's the only upside to it. Upon opening the app, you're prompted to spend 50 bucks for the pro version. Next, you have the 12x12 that is widely used by many music apps.. although it is nice to have a secondary tab you can tap on to go to a different set of instruments. Lastly, everything's mostly pro. Very limited options on the music that you have.
I'm sure that paying $50 a year after 3 days is a drop in the bucket for some, especially those dedicated to using a phone to make music; but trying to try to free version (without fear of 3 day free trial before you're charged) is an ad-nightmare. I wanted to give this a solid shot but you've really created something that forces you into paying due to pop-up ads every transition to a new page, worse than the web in 1998. Good luck!
No free mode for me to get comfortable with the app before considering the Pro subscription. There is a 3 day subscription trial, but I doubt it'd be very productive when still learning the ropes. In other words, give it a go if you have a large amount of time to kill, otherwise you're not getting much out of it without wallet commitment.
It's OK. It has good sound packs and the tutorial feature is nice. The ads are pretty excessive. When not using a pad, like navigating the UI just about every button press results in an ad. Sometimes 2. Subscription based pay model is a big turn off, and most of these packs are free on bandlab. I like the layout, it's very responsive. It just seems greedy with its intrusive ads and subscription only Setup. I think there is a better way this could be done.
Yeah as everyone else has said, can't really enter the app without activating free trial. Plus none of the songs advertised in the ads are even present in the app that I'm aware of so far and I've been lookin'. The mechanics are okies and so is the sounds but everything else is lacking or forced. Definitely not gonna keeps the subscription goin' and will likelies uninstall after the free days are over
Won't even let me look at the limited version without the "3 day free trial" (that of course automatically subscribes you to the paid subscription once the 3 days are up). It appears to have a button to switch off the free trial, but it's just a static graphic... Even if it's a good app (I don't know because I couldn't just access it) you won't get me through the door with dishonest tactics like that.
Absolutely HORRIBLE app. When you first enter it, there is a screen for you to get a free trial, but you have to purchase to get it and it didn't let me undo the purchase. And the switch that says you do not get the free trial didn't work. Instead there is a very small and well hidden 'X' in the top left corner. When I finally got to play the game, either things costed money or there was an ad every 5 presses I made. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP! 1 star I do not recommend at all.
I feel like I can't even *breathe* in this app without an extremely long, unskippable ad popping up. I understand that to offer free versions, ads are required for income. But the ads are so pervasive that the app is basically unusable on the free version - especially if you're intending to just jot down some quick inspiration, or wanting to learn how to actually use the app.
thought I would give it a shot. Got to the screen with a slide button that says "free trial enabled". I tried to turn it off and it won't let you. to try it, you are forced to sign up for a free 3 day trial. I don't want to do that. I just want to try the app running in non-pro mode. no way to continue past that screen unless you sign up. as I see it, you're hoping that by FORCING people to accept a free trial, they will forget to cancel and you get the $10 for the first paid period. BAD!!
app works as intended and is plenty fine at what it does, but the ads have gotten more and more agressive and considerably longer. every time you change sound packs you have to sit through a 30-60 second long ad. it's why I ended up uninstalling it. I'm sure this app is great if you shell out the cash for the pro version but if you're looking to just use the free version it's borderline unusable. if Propellerhead was available for android I'd just use that, it's much much better.
This app should not be categorized as free application. You don't have a chance to press even one of these beats without giving your CC details and accepting the free 3 days trial, and then being charged whatever amount is the subscription... It's exactly like buying an application or a game that gives you a discount for the first few days or weeks. This is basically *not* a free app.
It's okay. The packs you have access to are interesting and it has a tutorial that is fun to use, making it like a game to learn how to use the app. However there are some problems. If you try to make a particularly fast beat there can be some lag on the sound occasionally. Also, once you make a recording you can't edit it, so you can't layer things the way the ad shows. Edit: I just realized there is a "pro mode" that you can turn on to do the layering for no extra charge.
HORRIBLE app when u first enter there is automatically a screen saying "free trial enabled" u can't turn it off and ur forced to pay 10 bucks unless u see the smallest ever X in the corner absolutely hate this game make the X bigger u can't even play it I don't even see the X u just have to blindly tap worst game ever fix it and then maybe u will get installs and good reviews
Is a fine enough beat making app, but incredibly aggressive about ads. Every time you try to do something different you have to sit through a 30sec ad. And most of these ads are shady and have tiny close buttons so you often miss clicking close and click on the ad. Shady practices and just not a good user experience. I'm not afraid to pay money for a good app, but let me experience your app more than I experience the ads. Don't waste your time here. Developers, do better.
just straight up a scam app! Subscription in this economy?? Dude when I was young I thought this all was just for beats and music free play through no subscription and all! Now it's all just about money! 100% would never recommend this! I thought if I press start it would take me to the game but noooo it told me to pay first! Extremely expensive charges! I couldn't even rate it a 1 star. Even 1 star is valuable to be rated on this app! FIX YOUR GAME!
You must enter in a credit card or debit card. I'm sure it's a great app but when I have to put in my information before I can even get a real chance to try, it it's not for me. opened up the app and there was no exit out of a subscription. when you figure it out after the first advertisement you have to exit out of three times to get back to the main page, with a 10 second delay before an option of exiting is available. when you get back it's just about every button triggers an ad like that.
I didn't even get to actually PLAY the game because when I removed the Subscription prompt it wouldnt let me go anywhere else. Also, they didn't flip the button off for free trial when I press the button.. Then, it's like we are all being FORCED to pay up to $49 just so we can play a APP!!! The reason why I'm saying this is because you guys cannot, and I mean, CANNOT pull the 'pay or no play' card on us PLEASE!! You don't know if all of us can afford this fee! We wont pay THAT much money!!
man I got style and rhythm! this thing is simply wayy to hard to use and the loops are to short. at least on free version. ill just listen to my, "Fire" by Daniel, on Spotify. tecno is my thing because i have good beat (and people suck at singing these days) and i was looking to put that into this app but the sounds were to different and the timing too exact. if you want a good app for stuff like this, use music maker jam.
This app is nothing like I seen advertised it showed that you could record your beat then loop it and they play around with the sounds till you got something that worked with your rythem it also showed that you could change the pitch of the sound tracks to make the sounds your own. Also to use most of the sound tracks you have to pay for the pro which is $50 a year. Advertised as a free app. Not so free. 1 star because I felt like I was lied to.
