I would have given this 5 stars. However, I started using this browser in place of chrome, and I really miss Chrome's tab groups feature. the ability to keep related tabs together and quickly switch between them is really helpful for the way I use the browser on my phone. other than that, I really love this browser. i value that it allows me more control over AI integration and that it limits trackers and other unnecessary data sharing

I love DuckDuckGo! I'm referring to both the search engine and the browser in this case. Privacy has become a huge concern of mine lately, and I think that we need more search engines that don't track us based on our activities. I do realize that DDG has also jumped on the AI bandwagon, but theirs seems less intrusive than some of the others, at the very least, i.e., according to their privacy policy, it doesn't collect personal data from you either.

I have used. this app for years now & never once had any problem. I think it's much more secure than other search engines & you can see how many of the thousands of interceptions It does per search. I've actually seen the number of blocks in the tens of thousands per search so it's shocking how many times people are attempting to access your personal info. Plus a VPN! WAY TO GO DUCKDUCKGO!

I don't give out 5 stars just as a personal rule. I've never come across a "perfect" app. BUT, this one is close. I love the app and since downloading DuckDuckGo, I definitely see fewer ads, and unlike Google, I don't receive a ton of spam emails and trackers. DuckDuckGo seems to help with that as well. So, keep up the good work DuckDuckGo! And Thank You for the layer of protection!

I had to try another browser besides Google Chrome due to the ever-exploding barrage of ads. For example, one paragraph of an important news story and then a full page or two of ads. After reading a couple more minutes and here come the ads again. It is really frustrating. But with DuckDuckGo... no ads. I'm very surprised and REALLY HAPPY! 🤓

I was doing a Google search for a specific item and as usual, all of my media sites were flooded with advertisements and specials related to that item...I understand that's how you can get the best deals sometimes but when I got an actual text from a person saying they "saw" I was researching their product I was done..so far with DuckDuckGo I am not seeing any of this on any of my media & you can actually see what's being stopped/blocked!! So far so good!! Try it out!! I think you'll love it too

Looks good and is simple to use, but it doesn't have an ad blocker as far as I can tell, there's little customization, can't group tabs, can't remove the fire button from the address bar, and can't change the search engine. Also includes pointless AI integration bloat, even if it can be disabled. If you only care about privacy then it's probably fine, but it lacks the quality of life features that many other browsers have that I've gotten used to.

I've been using DuckDuck for several years, on my pc and on and my phones. Its the best search tool and also as a phone browser. I can search web sites in confidence that I'm not being tracked. It's the best! Keep up the good work! Thank you for your talented developers! The app on PC sometimes gets stuck and you have to clear and start up again. I feel that could be the ads on the site your on that want to get through and it's getting blocked.

i like it a lot. It was missing a few features that i like about other browsers, but things have been added and updated, it is much better to use. However.. I've been getting pop-ups, not really adds, but questions about writing a review (already did) and little blurbs with info (I don't really care) I don't want messages popping up when I'm surfing the web, reading my comics, or looking up stuff on my wife's health. I don't like things like that and will be very disappointed if that gets worse

I have had problems with hackers stealing my information. I used Duck Duck go security, all of them, so I can't be tracked and my data is not saved. Even protects my email, and I haven't had the issues i was having. They even have a way to clean out the hackers from attacking your phone. The browser works great for not collecting data, but you can't go back to a previous page because there is no data collected. I'm fine with that as long as I'm protected. I enjoy Duck and use it on all my apps.

I really like the newer feature like the app tracking blockers. its really crazy to get to see all the apps and corporations that are trying to get your data without you even knowing about it.. Crazy and scary.. So until someone come up with a way to be able to access the Internet & have apps without everyone trying to steal your data, this is the next best thing. 😅

Super functional browser; I recommend it to others all the time. I don't even use the YouTube app anymore, since the built in video player disables ads in YouTube videos. I especially like that you can "fireproof" trusted sites if you want to save your activity on them, but private browsing is the default, not something that you have to configure.

If the app works, its great to maintain privacy while still surfing the web. The issue is it doesny work thr majority of the time. When I use the address bar for a search or enter a website address, the app doesnt do anything but refresh the start page 9 out of 10 times. After wasting my time with multiple attempts, I exit the app and use something else. I will likely delete and not waste more time. I like the idea but the execution fails.

I really like how they block all the trackers. They protect your browser and make it to where the trackers can't get your information, like your home address, name, e-mail address, phone number, etc. And they don't collect your personal data to sell like some sites do. It's a good app, especially if you don't want a bunch of trackers tracking you online.

I LOVE DuckDuckGo! I definitely recommend using it to block trackers across apps! I use several free apps for things like podcasts, library, games, grocery discounts, and I had no idea how many companies (esp Google and Facebook of course, and we already know they suck) are attempting to track thousands of pieces of personal info. I also super recommend watching videos from YT through Duck Player because no ads! Only thing is you can't "play all," you have to click to the next one.

I'm partial to Firefox, but this is a really phenomenal mobile browser. I especially appreciate all the anti-tracking features that block other apps from attempting to harvest my data in the background. Edit: Recently I started having issues with dropped calls when tracking protection is active. Deactivating the app tracking stops it. Not sure what the cause is.

Not very good. You go to a site, it doest want to open. You go to one of your bookmarks, it doesn't want to open. Numerous times I had to switch back to Firefox just to open a website that duckduckgo can't open. it's slow as hell, dial up was faster than this browser. The last update was a joke. And now you want to add Ai to this...lol Fix what's wrong before you add something new.

Exceptional protections, fully functioning browser, alright search results. I love that I'm not being tracked, the lack of ubiquitous ads, and the fact that it actually loads every single page I've been to correctly (not gonna call anyone out. You know who you are.) Search results with DDG are not quite as good as using Google, but for most searches, it's acceptable.

It works amazing until it doesn't. After having it installed and app tracking turned on for too long,it just suddenly stops... suddenly all my ads are suspiciously targeted again. If I have anything in a cart somewhere in my browser, all my apps have ads for only those items. It's pretty easy to tell when it stops working because of this.

edit to add: -1 star They added an AI feature which is the thing I trying to get away from with Google. I installed Duck Duck Go to work on migrating away from Google products. The cookie blocker is nice and I've enjoyed being able to search for silly things without having all my ads turn into that topic. Unfortunately, their search engine is awful. Almost all the results I get end up being people's personal blogs or some 3rd rate website that scraped data from a more reputable source.
