So far so good! I am impressed with EatStreet. Delivery is very fast and always arrives early. There are way more restaurant options than other apps like this. I love all the free deliveries. I haven't received any orders with mistakes and the deliverers are friendly and professional. Most delivery apps like this are amazing when brand new, then get overloaded and deliver consistently very late. But not EatStreet! I haven't experienced any issues.
I don't do reviews, but I feel like I must for this app. This is the worst delivery service app ever. There is zero customer service. No contact number, and the live chat option gets an error. The tracking does not function. It stays stuck on "preparing." You often don't even know who is delivering your order as it just says "courier." And whatever your total cost of your order is, double it! That's how much you'll pay in fees. I'm deleting the app now. There are much better options out there.
Very hit or miss, this app is basically built on top of other solutions like Uber Eats, adding an extra middle man taking their cut. I've found this adds to confusion when trying to pass delivery instructions, and it's missing some of the features that other apps have, like being able to add to a tip after delivery. It's serviceable, and if there are issues, customer service is decent, but frankly, there are better options out there.
In the last week or so the app has had a problem making it nearly unusable. When items have required options (type of cheese, dipping sauce, etc) it will throw an error message that you haven't selected these required options even if you have. This means these items are un-orderable. Talking with support was no help. Uninstalling and reinstalling worked a couple times but now doesn't help at all. I just want to order a burger and some jalapeño poppers. 😞
Once my go-to app for ordering food, I have probably used EatStreet for the last time. Lately, I've had issues with food arriving late, cold, and soggy. The final straw has been the We've Missed You offer promising free delivery for a week if I would use the app again. Tried it, food took over an hour to arrive and had to be thrown out. Tried it again and all 72 available restaurants showed a delivery fee. Contacted customer service and they were of no help. Too frustrating to continue to use.
drivers need to verify all items before leaving. I have been missing items the last 2 times I ordered. Update: in response to developer comments. When I have had missing items I have contacted you but only get a refund for the missing item. I don't want a refund. I want the item. That's why I ordered it. I had to pay an extra delivery charge to order somewhere else so my son could eat because it was his item missing the first time.
Missed an item on my order, but there was no way to report it. There is not even a way to rate the delivery. Found an email address under the help section. You would think they app would have something a little more convenient. You would also think the driver would have verified the order at pick up and confirmed it and delivery... he set it on my steps. I might as well drive and pick up a to-go order myself.
Negative stars would be the only acceptable option. Food was delivered an hour and a half past it's scheduled time with no updates until I reached out multiple times. When it finally arrived it was cold and soggy. Asked for a refund and they gave me a $4 coupon to use on my account for next time. Truly abysmal customer service. Will never use again.
UPDATED, deleting app. Eat street does not care about their customers. Lately I have noticed that in my area , the app doesn't offer drinks from many places. Also the app has certain things listed for some restaurants ,that the restaurant is not currently serving. This has caused me to have to contact either eat street or the restaurant , or in one case , both. I use the app for its conveinience , but with the high prices , and the fact that you cant get a proper beverage with your meal? 👎
Not a good option if you value consistent semi-accurate delivery times and warm food. I am a parent, so delivery times matter. I have had late orders several times, and cold food bc the driver makes several deliveries after picking up my food. They sometimes text when it should arrive that it will be almost another hour. There are not any CS phone #s listed in the app, and the Chat CS rep stated there is "nothing they can do" to cancel orders even if I was just notified it will be 50 min late.
It's very annoying that eatstreet will show restaurants that are open late night and let you order and the food will not come. It is a recurring theme that they will not deliver late night food when that is the point of the app. You pay the delivery fee to eatstreet but don't get the food which causes ME (as the consumer) to reach out and find out how to cancel the order so I dont get charged for food that may or may not deliver until the next day if at ALL. Do better.
I'm taking a break from Eatstreet for awhile. Have had multiple problems lately. One order the driver took 30 minutes to make a 10 minute drive and I was never provided an explanation, only a coupon. Another order was never sent through to a driver, only the restaurant. Sat at the restaurant for an hour. Then customer service was trying to get out of canceling my order and refunding me even though I literally would no longer be in the building I originally ordered from. Super disappointed.
Multiple instances of confusion - restaurants saying they never got my order when the app says they did, delivery times being triple the estimates, drivers calling me to see if they can find where my food is at, some orders just get "lost" and I receive nothing. With the high fees for this app I expect it to be more professional. The individual employees I've interacted with have all been really great though and I've always gotten a full refund whenever I didn't receive an order.
Errors in app frequently. Last one was the app telling me that there was an error with the order and it was not placed. No tracking or text updates (which are turned on in the app) on the status of the order. Find out later, it was placed and I was charged even though I didn't get the food. EatStreet support tells me to contact the restaurant because it was confirmed and prepared. Well, maybe confirm with ME after telling me it wasn't placed?!?
If I could I'd rate it lower. For the second time my order never came through to the resturant. On my computer the tracker said it was ready, though for the longest time my phone said it was still being processed. When I tried getting live chat there was a pop up that said there was an error and I couldn't get access to live support. Thankfully the resturant still took my order for no extra charge, but the eatstreet app has been pretty trash recently.
The time tracker for this app is a huge negative. You can't track the driver in real time. If the driver decides to take other orders he/she can causing your order to be pushed back by 30 to 60 mins. I have had this happen multiple times and I can't wait for cold food to be delivered. You have no idea when you will get the food or if the driver will take on more orders causing your order to be delayed by 30 to 60 mins. Customer support offer $10 coupon for my cold food. Will be uninstalling.
Genuinely one of the worst delivery apps. On more than one occasion it failed to inform me of a restaurant being closed and customer service would have me waiting an even further 30 minutes to confirm that and refund me. The app sends the wrong orders (I've gotten the wrong thing multiple times). Honestly just use one of the others. Door dash usually has more choice anyways. (3 restaurants on Eatstreet vs the 10+ on DD in the same area)
Edit3: keyboard switches from numpad to alphabet every time you hit a number on the custom tip line Edit: the app keeps asking me to leave a review even though I already left one, so I'll mention that order tracking breaks frequently and the UI is kind of ugly. Also kind of crazy that there are no pictures of the food. Seems like a no-brainer, honestly. Fast and easy but could use some quality of life improvements. More or less the same experience as using the website.
I used to love this app. Until I started having repeated issues. Orders canceled without contacting me, delivery getting delayed minutes before it's arrival time, drivers forgot something but can't look it up and you can't contact them. Customer service hung up on me. The chat function takes forever. Most of the time they just refund you and your left with no food and have to restart all over. The app crashes. Item are more then websites and they charge you a fee. Never using it again.
I think this company's service is wonderful. Some local restaurants are continuously awful at getting with the program and using this service to it's potential, but eatstreet has always had phenomenal customer service and tried their best to make it right. With that being said, the security is unacceptable. You need to secure your customers debit and credit information better, and continue to work on that. Tech never stops advancing and I simply can not trust this app with my sensitive info
