it's OK. not nearly as useful as desktop site. when selling, lots of options just don't show up. I get daily notifications for deals but when I actually sell items I don't find out until I get a late notice to ship my item saying the item sold weeks prior. buying items on the app is simple and easy, not so much selling. and finding previous conversations with sellers and buyers on here is like a corn maze nearly impossible to find. reviewing because im tired of ebay asking me to rate the app

This app is good at keeping track of the items in my wishlist and alerts me when an item is ending and what new items are available on my saved searches on certain items. That's why this app is helpful to me. I don't like that they include taxes when you buy something, but I've learned to deal with it. This app is still pretty awesome. you can even save the items you like on your watchlist. And when you order has arrived, make you do your review of it as soon as possible before time runs out.

The buying experience is not great, but the selling experience put me off of eBay forever. constant server failure messages when trying to add payment information. auto-relisting items when they don't sell. option to add a buy it now price hidden. charging fees after poor performance. not just buyer beware, but also seller beware. ebay has gone way downhill from what it used to be.

Great to buy on, horrible to sell on. I sold an item on here which was refunded to the buyer, but I never got my item back. Ebay said I owed them money for the refund, on top of me never getting my item back! It wasn't something cheap either. 6 months of constant phone calls later... Still stuck. And they're trying to get the debt collector on me. I have been as transparent as possible and made so many efforts to move this case. If you get scammed as a seller on ebay, they do NOT have your back.

Terrible seller UX. Can't select multiple shipping options, sometimes the description gets lost, and no for the last time I don't want to promote my item just list the damn thing and stop begging for more money. And stop with the AI description garbage. I don't want to use it, buyers either don't care or are actively turned off, and it's just useless fluff. Seriously, it'll be a cold day in hell when I voluntarily give up 10% more of the sale price on top of the ridiculous fees.

eBay is one of the worst platforms for sellers. Buyers apparently have all the power. You can prove they're lying via messages, and then they can lower your rating without even receiving a product. Why are buyers allowed to rate a product when it's been canceled for legitimate reasons. They will not back you as a seller. It's great if you're a buyer, but it's terrible if you're a seller. You have no protection, just the illusion of it. Be warned. I'm going to move over to PayPal and Mercari.

I've been using ebay since 1999, buying and selling. I've gone through so many iterations of the site, mostly improvements. The app is great - the search tool works the same as the website, it's easy to make a purchase or post an item, keep track of your purchases or inventory. I just wish there was a way to block mega sellers when you're looking for a true vintage or authentic item. Otherwise fast accurate, easy to use.

Hey so kind of a big problem here. The app is poorly designed on the profile page. It doesn't make it obvious where important information like addresses and payments methods are when initially going to the profile tab. Also, when I updated my card info and shipping address before buying something, why didn't it auto switch to my new address?? Now I have a package going to my old address. I'm pretty sure I checked everything before buying too, but would be nice to confirm during processing!

I can change notification settings now. I disabled notifications for ebay lives and I still get them! also I reported an item for manipulating search results, listing with the wrong item condition (i.e listed as "pre-owned" but the title and desc. say "for Parts&Repair") got an email saying the AI didn't find anything despite that the item name in the same email said "PARTS ONLY". yes, it's in all caps in the item name. How did this go over the AI's head?! Stop giving me tiny shipping labels!!

Update 05/03/25: As a part-time seller, using the app primarily, I have to bring this down from 5 to 3. The new "updated" seller interface was completely unnessesary, & just plain bad. It turned a one-page interface into 4-5 seperate pages. Months later, after major bug fixes the formatting is still terrible, causing the buyer to scroll left & right to read each section/paragraph as one long line. I wish we could simply opt back to the former seller interface! You fixed what wasn't broken. 😢

Straight from eBay customer service, "do not use the mobile app use the web browser site instead." I recently had a terrible experience buying an item from a seller who never responded. The app wouldn’t let me file a refund or report that the item never arrived, and the system said I had to wait over 30 days past the guarantee window before I could even mark it as not received. Their customer service system is also extremely frustrating.

Cannot emphasize enough how much I appreciate being woken up at 2:05 AM to a notification reminding me to leave feedback on purchases. Edit - Unrelated to the app but worth noting: USPS is trash. Shipments are constantly mishandled, I have no faith anything I order will actually arrive. Most sellers I've encountered have been great, but there's only so much they can do. It's bad for them too.

Unusable. Can no longer check out. It's been telling me I don't have network connection for weeks and been nearly unusable but now it won't even let me check out. I'm not having any network connection issues with any other app. I'm also very unhappy that it has started leaving automatic feedback if I don't. There's a reason if I didn't leave feedback. I used to buy and sell on here constantly for many years but it's way too difficult and time consuming anymore.

The app, at least in my recent experience, has gotten almost unusable. Constant network failure, pages needing to reload, and the search bar retaining old searches instead of what you just typed. I have tried clearing the cache, clearing data, uninstalling multiple times, and the problems remain. This is extremely frustrating as a buyer but even more so as a seller.

Customer service is non existent. Buyers can leave bad reviews for reasons that make no sense. Then your account is restricted and there is no one you can talk to about it. Then they charge you more to sell & won't promote your listings. 1 customer bought a product lied to get a return approved. I paid for shipping there and back, received an old busted item and a bad review. I tried to resolve this through eBay and they wouldn't even respond. I do MUCH better now selling on marketplace.

As a small seller, my recent experience has been frustrating. I dispatched an item on time using 2nd Class with proof of postage, but the buyer opened an “item not received” case just days later. Because it was untracked, the refund was taken from my funds despite Royal Mail delays. Sellers should be aware that estimated delivery dates can trigger cases very quickly, and without tracking, seller protection is extremely limited. Buyer protection is strong, but seller protection is horrible.

Shipping takes too long, and I don't understand why I have to get on my computer to purchase items. on multiple occasions it says that I'm not able to buy items in the app, I have to go on the computer and buy it there, which defeats the purpose of the app. There used to be an option where if you got scammed by the seller, you are protected, now if you are scammed by The sellar there's no options for help anymore. And when you try to report a scam artist, eBay says they don't see anything wrong.

Somehow, they have gotten even worse with ai. They sent me fake information about a pending item, leaving me to believe it was cancelled. It wasn't, I'm now unable to cancel. The customer service is hard to find/use. Now I'm waiting on a callback for the second time after they never called. They've piled on unreasonable fees while the app is awful, especially for the seller. If you have any other options, use those instead of these greedy, incompetent corporate monsters.

DEBT SCAM? The app is clunky, but buying was ok. Decided to try to sell one item. Their stated policy is that posting the 1st item is free. They only take a cut once the item sells. It never sold, so I took the posting down. Finding out months later that they've referred me to collections for an amount less than $12. Supposedly this is their cut of the item I posted. Except it never sold/ there's not supposed to be a listing fee for the 1st item. Selling debt is surprisingly a thing. Scam???

I made the mistake of updating. Constant errors and uncomplete searches. I have Uninstalled. Restarted my phone. and reinstalled. Twice. I still have these errors. This is why I don't like to update. I don't like all the suggestions in the way. I don't like wrong items in my search. I don't care if they're sponsored they're not what I'm looking for. These latest updates are awful.
